HISTORY
Hydrogen Energy
• It operates similarly to a battery, but it does not require run down nor does it
require charging.
• As long as fuel is supplied, a fuel cell will produce both energy and heat.
• A fuel cell consist of two catalyst coated electrodes surrounding an electrolyte.
• One electrode is an anode and other is cathode.
• The process begins when hydrogen molecules enter the anode.
• The catalyst coating separates hydrogen’s negatively charged electrons from the
positively charged protons.
• The electrolyte allows the protons to pass through to the cathode, but not the
electrons.
• Instead the electrons pass through an external circuit, oxygen molecules pass
through the external circuit.
• When the oxygen and the protons combine with the electrons it produces water
and heat.

HYDROGEN STORAGE
• Japan took an early lead on the path towards a society that uses hydrogen
as a major source of power. For example, hydrogen-powered fuel cell
cars were first put on the market by Japanese automaker.
• Now TMG is actively promoting the use of hydrogen as an energy source
with moves including
a) Power source in OLYMPICS 2020
b) Use hydrogen fuel cars to get athlete from villages to venue.
Conclusion:
Hydrogen fuel cell will dramatically change our cars, however our homes
and business are powered and heated , and it both positively and negatively
change places like the Middle east and third world countries. They will also
clean up the world’s air.
