Sorting Data: Ch#5: MS Excel Advanced Features

This document discusses sorting data in Microsoft Excel. It defines sorting as rearranging data in ascending or descending order. There are two main types of sorting: ascending order, which arranges data from lowest to highest, and descending order, which arranges data from highest to lowest. Sorting can be done on a single column to organize the data, such as sorting student marks in descending order. Sorting makes data easier to read, understand and search, reducing complexity and helping with effective decision making.
