Singer-songwriter
Freddie Mercury
was born as
Farrokh (means
wonderful, happy)
Bulsara in a
wealthy family on
September 5,
1946, in Zanzibar,
Tanzania.
1. It is said that
Freddie Mercury
never took any
vocal lessons in a
professional way,
just what he was
studying in music
classes at school.
2. Freddie Mercury
used to disguise
Princess Diana as
a man so she
could join them on
nights out without
being recognized.
3. Freddie Mercury
and Michael Jackson
tried collaborating on
a few songs, but the
union apparently fell
apart because
Jackson kept bringing
his pet llama into the
studio. )))
4.“This album is dedicated
to my cat Jerry- also Tom,
Oscar and Tiffany, and all
the cat lovers across the
universe…”
- Freddie Mercury in the album notes
5. Flamboyant Performer.

“I am a romantic, but I do
put up a barrier around
myself, so it is hard for
people to get in and to
know the real me ”
6.”Love Of My Life”
“All my lovers asked me
why they couldn’t replace
Mary, but it’s simply
impossible”.

“The only friend I’ve got is

Mary, and I don’t want
anybody else. To me, she
was my common-law
wife. To me, it was a
marriage”.
“When I was 23 he gave me a
big box on Christmas Day.
Inside was another box, then
another and so it went on. It
was like one of his playful
games. Eventually, I found a
lovely jade ring inside the last
box”

“I was shocked. It just so wasn’t

what I was expecting. I just
whispered “Yes, I will””.
“I told him,
‘Something is going
on and I just feel
like a noose around
your neck. I think it’s
time for me to go’”.
“She went on the road with them. There
are photographs of them together
backstage at concerts into the late
seventies by which stage they no longer a
couple (…) It’s a very interesting part of
their story, that having lived together as a
couple and her believing that at one point
they would be married and then having to
come to terms with the fact that he was
homosexual. And they remained such
good friends for so long after that. She
stayed as part of the band’s entourage
because she was part of his entourage.
She was the most important person in that
entourage.”
Biographer Blake
“I wish to confirm that I have been tested HIV-positive and have AIDS. I felt it correct to keep this
information private to date to protect the privacy for those around me. However, the time has
come now for my friends and fans around the world to know the truth and I hope that everyone
will join with my doctors and ll those worldwide in the fight against this terrible disease.”
“I really don’t care. I’ve lived a
full life, and if I’m dead
tomorrow, I don’t give a
damn.”

“Write me more. Write me stuff.

I want to just sing this and do it
and when I’m gone, you can
finish it all.”

“I’m not feeling that great, I

think I should call it a day now.
I’ll finish it when I come back,
next time.”
“THESE ARE THE DAYS OF OUR
LIVES”
Queen Extravaganza-Queen’s
official tribute band, developed by
the band’s original drummer,
Roger Taylor. The original band
members were selected from an
online audition process. The winner
goes as the main vocalist with the
band on tour. The only one
member who refused to continue
being a part of the band is
Deacon. He said for him Queen
doesn’t exist without Freddie and
no one can replace him. Anyways,
one of those winners was Marc
Martel. I specified him because he
is considered like an
“reincarnation” of Freddie Mercury
because of his looks, behavior and
voice.
IN CONCLUSION:
“He was the kind who got knocked down
again and again and yet he seemed to
recover and rise even higher above all that
tried to bring him down, Each of us changes
and as we grow and it’s amazing how
differently we view things at one age, and see
it in a whole new light at another. I think in the
end when he knew his time was running out,
Freddie still had so many things he wanted to
do. The fact that he continued to work after he
discovered he had the AIDS virus, only goes to
show his grim determination that he would not
go gently into that fair night. I think Freddie was
someone who had a dream, worked hard to
achieve it, fought back when he got knocked
down, learned to lough and live life to its fullest,
accepted that no matter what he did, there
will always be criticism. He invented his
persona, reinvented it again and again, and in
the end came acceptance. All in all, I think he
lived an honorable life, and left a legacy
behind that would ensure he would go down in
history as a legend. The funny thing? It wasn’t
something he had to do consciously, Freddie
just simply was”
