Graphing Using Intercepts

The document discusses finding x-intercepts and y-intercepts of graphs by plotting the points where the line crosses the x-axis and y-axis. It provides examples of finding the x-intercepts (20, 0), (0, 12), (10, 0), (15, 0), (5, 0) and y-intercepts (0, 3), (0, 6), (0, 3), (0, 9) of different lines based on equations of the form ax + by = c.

An x-intercept of a graph is the x-

coordinate of a point where the graph

crosses the x-axis.
An y-intercept of a graph is the y-
coordinate of a point where the graph
crosses the y-axis.
Find the x and y-intercepts.
Plot the x and y-intercepts and draw a line
through them connecting them with a straight
edge.
