A destructive action will always remain a beautiful thing, even if it is not claimed. It can be done for the sheer pleasure of doing it...But to us this is not enough, we want to make this system fall. The more reproducible the action, the greater is its real destructive potential; the more rebels understand that a real resistance exists the more they will be motivated to action...
The context of the anarchist milieu in the United States over the last two years has changed quite considerably. Internationally there has been an increase in actions aimed at an offensive rather than a defensive position being taken. Specifically actions of solidarity for the prisoners of the Bombs Case in Chile, the injury of our comrade Luciano Pitronello during an attack with a homemade explosive device a fire extinguisher filled with black powder and a time delay system and with the proposal for the International Revolutionary Front from the now imprisoned comrades of the Revolutionary Organization - Conspiracy Cells of Fire. To begin acting in diffused cells on an international level, attacking the structures of the current order of state, capital and civilization. Nationally we are in an interesting position. There have been a slew of anti-police activities in the Northwest, specifically, but also in places like Oakland, San Francisco, Portland and Denver. Generalizing to not just one single place in the United States, but attacks all over. Some of these attacks have been interesting points of struggle, from intervention to agitation, on the basis of self-organization. To attempts at trying to generalize peoples rage against the police beyond ourselves and lobbying with the politicians of the left. Particularly the occupation movements throughout North America though it has an array of limitations, which wont be gotten into now spreads basic anarchist ideas of organizing and acting. We as anarchists have opened up possibilities and moments untouched by our comrades and close friends, in the past. Through attacks on the street against the police and institutions or attacks taken clandestinely at night, that have been a sharpening of ones teeth. The former comrade now turned snitch, Brianna Waters and the transfer of Justin Solondz from China to the States is a critical point of departure. Since Operation Back Fire a case which mainly involved the family has created a presidence in repressing anarchists from acting in a critically offensive way. It was a psychological move on the part of the state to seem like a large panoptical mass constantly monitoring and repressing anyone who chooses to act or be an anarchist. This brings up a second point, solidarity for Justin Solondz is pertinent (since he is one of the few remaining noncooperating defendants) and actions of solidarity can be extended to a comrade who has been on the run from the United States since 2005 (as well as other North American Prisoners). Similarly there are other comrades like Daniel McGowan locked up in the Community Management Units in Marion, Illinois. Under harsh anti-Terrorist laws that where enacted during the Bush Administration for Islamic Terrorists. It is pressing that we begin elaborating in a critical way the use of antiterrorist laws by the State as a form of repression for ourselves as anarchists and begin a dialogue in a critically positive light about the use of ELF practices removed from its more ideological hinge within the anarchist movement against all the manifestations of capitalism and its endless network of institutions. To bring up the national context without the conscious understanding of our overall international context of the anarchist milieu, is a fault. A fault in ones ability to take aim at the expansive networks we see ourselves amidst, and the feeling of a reciprocal desire with others to see the current world destroyed. For if we lack the ability to see the overall context and our relationship to it, we limit ourselves to a piece of that context. If we have the ability to see both of these contexts the social and anti-social tendencies as a shared and intertwined - we have the potential to unleash a solidarity based on methods of continued attack against the existing order that could be unchained by the guilt of activism and the obligation of a duty characterized by protest or martyrdom. Extending a struggle that begins with ourselves into a project that proliferates outward against this world. It is important to note that we will begin seeing and in some ways already have a clear divide, between those that are more social and those that are anti-social. This is a horrible separation to be made. There are ways to practice both these methods in coordination with each other. While as to not open ones mouth about the hiding of certain comrades or actions of others and propagate a consciousness that is not based in bragging or bolstering ones own actions.
The distinction between social and anti-social should not be mistaken with the underground militants and the above ground organizers, but a way in which those that have an intention based on their own desires as individuals can act in accordance with each other in the ways they find necessary, autonomously and informally. This could be in creating forged identification for fleeing comrades who need to get to another country, finding safe houses for those on the run from imprisonment, attacking certain institutions in retaliation for the attack of police or response to a demo for workers on strike, money obtained through illegal means that goes to social projects, etc. Without this one way of acting for everyone being the right way. With that said the anarchist milieu is at a cross-roads within our own context, to begin elaborating, experimenting with and charting territory that has yet to be discovered by the use of propagating our own ideas through social and anti-social actions diffusely.
Winter 2011 Negation of every society, of every cult, of every rule and of every religion. But I dont yearn for Nirvana, any more than I long for Schopenhauers desperate and powerless pessimism, which is a worse thing than the violent renunciation of life itself. Mine is an enthusiastic and dionysian pessimism, like a flame that sets my vital exuberance ablaze, that mocks at any theoretical, scientific or moral prison. Renzo Novatore - I am Also a Nihilist
Memory as a Weapon
Translators note: Translated from Germen No. 2, Fall 2010, an anarchist publication from Santiago, Chile. Memory, the expression, the act of evoking images, events, and people from the past never has meaning for us except as an accumulation of dates or a demonstration of erudition. The collective construction of insurrectionary memory has as its goal the historic continuity of the struggle; the events, the victories, the losses, the successes, and the errors. But it should not be limited to that because it is also important that it results in becoming acquainted with the different tools and strategies adopted by the enemy. Our struggle does not only free us from the world since the day we were born, but also transcends every vestige of authority in eternal struggle. Power has implemented on its behalf a machine of forgetting, each time more perfect and macabre, in order to maintain actual conditions in its favor. Amnesia only generates an acceptance of imposed reality while observing past struggles or comrades like photographs, severing every connection with reality, achieved by showing how unfeasible every intent to disobey the masters is. When revolutionaries are preoccupied echoing forgetfulness by living in an eternal present they grossly limit the actual struggle by not taking into account the rich arsenal of useful forms, tools, visions, manner, and experience of the insurrectionary memory. To forget past struggles is to forget who gave their lives and energy to change this reality. To pierce the erasure of time, remembering and assuming the different contexts and the unrepeatable idyllic and exactly equal conditions is a direct and real support to the social war. To sharpen, expand, and make evident the conflict against the powerful is extremely necessary and possible in the present as well as in the past. Our combative history is the rebellion of different exploited who decided to actively oppose the established order, breaking free from the different forms of normalcy of their time. Memory; the past is our present, its thoughts have been ours, its desires to attack are the same as ours today. We are talking about the history of revolt for centuries, years, or a pair of painful months. Now we are here remembering Mauri, comrade of so many fighters, but not only is this memory individual, it is also the continuation of the urgent need to oppose domination. Our present will become the past of the future through consistent exercise of conveying the past to the next combatants and the next repressive circumstances. To remember the struggle in the present is to glimpse which road we have walked upon, to help understand where to place our next steps - this is to use insurrectionary memory to replant ourselves tactically and strategically in combat against the oppressive reality. The redemption of comrades and combatants past and present is in our hands, the names and lives of comrades like Mauri, Claudia, or Johnny are in us and will not be forgotten, nor engulfed by the beast only to later be vomited by some intellectual with dates of the revolt. To remember that these are not abstract ideas like some game, but that social war is actualized by comrades of flesh and bone through actions, expressions, and decisions in moments of their lives is what is truly potent and makes the combat carried out by them reproducible, in order to really sharpen our present offense. Memory is a weapon, but it is necessary to know how to aim and shoot at power or else it is only a sterile act, trapped in history or emotion. Insurrectionary memory is our weapon!
Dear punki Mauri- our best memory is to continue confronting the order of those who fancy themselves masters of your life. Context: Claudia Lopez died after being shot in the back by Carabineros (police) in the poblacion La Pincoya in Santiago on September 11, 1998 during annual riots and armed confrontations with the police commemorating fallen comrades and the U.S. backed military coup of 1973. She was 29. In 2005 an occupied social center opened under the name Claudia Lopez in Concepcion, Chile. Johnny Cariqueo was severely beaten and tortured by Carabineros in the poblacion Pudahuel on March 29, 2008, also known as The Day of the Youth Combatant. He died due to complications three days later. He was 23. The Day of the Youth Combatant remembers fallen comrades and originated in the assassination of two brothers, Eduardo and Rafael Vergara Toledo on March 29, 1985 because they were part of an armed struggle group named MIR and dedicated to political militants. The Johnny Cariqueo social center in Pudahuel recently celebrated its 3rd year of being open. A group calling themselves the Johnny Cariquero Comandos carried out a bombing of a central Santiago police station on September 16, 2008, citing both Claudia Lopez and Johnny Cariqueo in a communique. Mauricio Morales aka Punky Mauri died on May 22, 2009 after an explosive device he had been carrying to the School for Correctional Officers in Santiago blew up in his backpack. He was 27. Thank you for teaching us that, against power, the only lost battle is the one not fought. - Diego Rios
As far as aims are concerned, these are decided upon and realized through attacks upon the repressive, military and productive structures, etc. The importance of permanent conflictuality and attack is fundamental. These attacks are organised by the nucleii in collaboration with specific anarchist structures which provide practical and theoretical support, developing the search for the means required for the action pointing out the structures and individuals responsible for repression, and offering a minimum of defense against attempts at political or ideological recuperation by power or against repression pure and simple. At first sight the relationship between specific anarchist organization and autonomous base nucleus might seem contradictory. The specific structure follows an insurrectional perspective, while the base nuclelii seem to be in quite another dimension, that of intermediate struggle. But this struggle only remains such at the beginning. If the analysis on which the project is based coincides with the interests of the exploited in the situation in which they find themselves, then an insurrectional outcome to the struggle is possible. Of course this outcome is not certain. That cannot be guaranteed by anyone. This method has been accused of being incomplete and of not taking into account the fact that an attack against one or more structures always ends up increasing repression. Comrades can reflect on these accusations. We think it is never possible to see the outcome of a struggle in advance. Even a limited struggle can have the most unexpected consequences. And in any case, the passage from the various insurrections limited and circumscribed to revolution can never be guaranteed in advance by any procedure. We go forward by trial and error, and say to whoever has a better method carry on. By O.V. A Letter of Solidarity with the Informal Anarchist Federation by Walter Bond, A.L.F Prisoner of War (USA)
Hello, my name is Walter Bond. I am currently serving a prison sentence in the United States for 3 A.L.F. arsons totaling nearly 2 million dollars worth of damage. Recently, I read a statement in solidarity with the Conspiracy Cells of Fire attempting to create a real voice for all of us political prisoners and prisoners of war, those of us that have fought and still fight from our prison cells against all civilization. I was happy to see that solidarity was signed with me in that article as well. As a small token of my support please accept the enclosed brief letter of solidarity that I have written for the Informal Anarchist Federation. Animal Liberation, Whatever It May Take! Regards, Walter Bond A.L.F. Lone Wolf P.S. Free to reprint my letter anywhere you would like, in whole or in part. Those of us behind the walls and razorwire, those of us that have proudly fought, will proudly fight and never bow before any authority outside of our own have shown this world the path to true liberation with our actions. But armchair generals and keyboard commandos dont want actions, they want words. What a waste of time. I have more respect for my enemies than the soothsayers, flatterers and hobbyists. Because at least my enemies are honest, at least my oppressors dont pretend to be otherwise and at least they know how to act and react for the benefit of everything their twisted black hearts hold dear. No scribe, scribbler, voicebox or bag of wind is a commander of anything outside of opinions and pieces of paper. That is why I speak for myself. That is why I strongly recommend that all political prisoners speak up whenever we can because when we stay silent, lesser women and men start speaking for us. Or worse yet, our silence makes us seem non-existent. This government, that government, all government will always try to scare the many with the few. Because the truly free, those with a feral heart, can light fires in their cities even from behind their prison walls. And you know what? They can have my body, and thats all they can have. I exist, we exist, in the resolve of every comrade that is not scared and is going to employ direct action right now! You can keep me locked away until this body is dead and decays and thats the end of their power! You cannot stop the spirit of resistance that animates me! You cant stop what you cant scare! Welcome to the insurgency! Anarchism means no more government not welcome to my bookstore! Animal Liberation means opening the cages and then smashing them, not opening your mouth in like-minded company. Earth Liberation means a ski resort gets the torch, not another Rich Liberal building an eco-friendly house. And Human Liberation means ending the oppression of all civilization, not chanting slogans to news cameras. In direct solidarity with the International Animal Liberation Front, the International Earth Liberation Front, the Animal Rights Militia, Militant Forces Against Huntingdon Life Sciences, the Conspiracy Cells of Fire. In solidarity with all political prisoners and to every warrior that has laid down their life or their freedom for true liberation. In solidarity with the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense and Move! Long live John Africa! Animal Liberation, Whatever It May Take!

Santa Cruz, Ca: Work Obstruction at Market St. Field 04/29/2011 Market St. Field is being developed to build green homes for the rich. Recently, we u-locked the gates to the development shut, glued the existing locks, and painted over their sign. The sign now reads: Green Still Sucks/All Land Is Sacred. Additionally, a banner was hung from the Branciforte overpass that read Market St. Field. Never Forget. Never Forgive. Olympia, Wa: New City Hall in Olympia Sabotaged 04/30/2011 Sometime yesterday we entered the new city hall in Olympia Washington and damaged the plumbing in both the male and females bathroom with quickset cement. This action comes on the heels of May Day. A day where anarchists should be remembering the fight of all those who came before them, and we think this remembrance should come in the form of a continuation of the struggle. We must never forget all those who the state has stolen from us, and we must continue our attacks. We do these attacks because we are anarchists and we desire the immediate destruction of both the state and capital. This action done in solidarity with the five anarchists from the Haymarket riot whom the state either directly of indirectly executed. And all those who continue to wage war on all forms of domination. Total Solidarity with the Haymarket Anarchists! Kill Their Kings and Burn Their Kingdom Anarchists Seattle, Wa: Chase Bank Attacked 05/02/2011 In the early hours of the morning on May 2nd, with the fire of past Maydays still rushing through our veins, we attacked an institution that perpetuates the isolation and alienation we feel in our daily lives. This was a small act in solidarity with the Asheville 11, the Haymarket anarchists, and all comrades in prison or facing repression around the globe. For all those who have not been tamed by the horrors of society. To greet fear with a warm embrace. May our memories become tinder for the fire that is to come. A few anarchists Seattle, Wa: Revolt burns in us. The time is now. From the first sparks, we are with you. (Disruption outside of Goldman Sachs) 05/16/2011 Revolt burns in us on this day, Monday May 16th, because to live is to rebel. Thus, in the spirit of solidarity with those in struggle in Greece, we blocked a busy intersection in the business district of Seattle during rush hour with a banner that read: Revolt burns in us. The time is now. From the first sparks, we are with you. This intersection is outside an office of Goldman Sachs, architects of the financial crisis that set the stage for the IMF

takeover of Greece. Hundreds of leaflets were afloat as the citizens gaped, open mouthed, but our actions are not for them. This brief halt in the normal movement of the city traffic was a small gesture committed out of our hatred for this world. The time is now. From the first sparks of rebellion we conspire because the only reason to live is for a dream of what is not. We are with you. Not out of pity or duty but because solidarity is our weapon. Seattle, WA: City council forum disrupted 06/10/2011 After discovering that our favorite paper The Stranger was giving power-hungry ding-dongs another free opportunity to interface with the public they want to manage, we decided to pay the event a little visit. At The Havanna Club in Capitol Hill we found ourselves assaulted by democracy-fanatics, imploring us to register to vote (so that we can vote in the city council). The earnestness and sincerity with which these democratic-insurgents tried to push their religion was utterly astounding and it took some time, once getting past them and entering the bar, to fully make out what was happening. The hippest of democracy-lovers were drinking and occasionally fielding some questions to the candidates for the Seattle City Council. The candidates were hamming it up as usual, putting on their most disgusting grins and feigning the deepest concern. We know full well, after they are elected, these bozos will further criminalize the homeless, redesign and gentrify what is left of the nasty Seattle streets we love, and make the city a green, social-democratic paradise, all the while making over 100,000 dollars a year. We have no interest in government, and so, as anarchists, we proceeded to disrupt the event. Our intelligence team found out the speechifying was about to start and so we rushed into our positions. In no time at all, the putrescent smell of sulfur filled the air, as did a nice cloud of smoke from a smoke bomb. The speech stopped, dozens of people left the bar covering their noses, and we disappeared as quietly as we had entered. On the way out, fliers were left explaining why we hate politicians. This modest effort was aimed against capitalist democracy and all of the drones who mindlessly perpetuate it. We do not want a nicer city for rich people. We want to tear down the flimsy curtain hiding the people who turn a place of vibrancy and life into a sterile wasteland of consumerism and boredom. Our dream is for the city to return to a wild state, for the population to decrease, and for the city hall, Seattle Police, and every petty ruler to disappear. We dont care about progressive politics. We want NO POLITICS!!! DOWN WITH DEMOCRACY!!! UP WITH ANARCHY!!! -Anti-Political Youth Gone Wild

Olympia, Wa: Property Destruction Targetted Snitch Photographer 06/10/2011 An Olympian photographers Tumwater home and The Olympians building on Bethel Street were both targeted by vandals overnight Wednesday with anarchist graffiti left spray-painted on walls, corrosive acid thrown on windows and three tires of the photographers pickup slashed. Olympian photographer Tony Overman was singled out by the graffiti left on an exterior wall at The Olympian where the words Overman snitch were written in dark paint. Overman said he was editing video in the living room of his Tumwater home after 1 a.m. Thursday morning when he looked out the window and noticed his pickup was sitting at a crooked angle in his driveway. He said that when he went outside to investigate, he found the tires of his truck slashed, an anarchist symbol spray painted on his garage door and the word snitch spray-painted on his pickup. Additionally, a gooey substance had been left on all the windows of his truck. At The Olympian, facilities and maintenance manager Darrell McDevitt said he arrived at work about 5:45 a.m. Thursday to find an acidic or corrosive paint-like substance had been splashed over about 13 windows at the front of the building. The words Overman snitch also were spray painted on an Olympian delivery truck and on the front wall of the building. McDevitt said it is too early to say exactly how much it will cost to fix the damage, but he estimated it could cost upwards of $11,000 or $12,000. Overman, 48, a two time regional photographer of the year for the National Press Photographers Association who has traveled to Iraq to shoot photos in war zones, said he is extremely disturbed that a group would take the trouble to learn where he lives and vandalize his property. These are the anarchists, and they are targeting me to try and scare me, he said. He said he thinks a group of anarchists want to intimidate him so they can prevent him from taking their photos during their participation in public marches. He said that in the past, published photos that he has taken of anarchists committing crimes like throwing rocks during marches and spray-painting property have been used by police to try to identify them. Overman emphasized that only his photos published in The Olympian and on its website have ever been made available to police. Overman said that over the last several years, The Olympian has refused many police requests from law enforcement agencies for Overmans unpublished photos. Overman was the victim of an assault back in April 2010, when a woman, clad in black and her face covered by a bandana, spray painted his face and camera lens as he attempted to take a photo of a professed anarchist anti-police brutality march in downtown Olympia. Overman said being targeted by anarchists at his house is infinitely more traumatizing than his experience working as a photojournalist in war zones in Iraq. The reason why its so disturbing to me is that youd think that in a free country, the people who use the First Amendment to express their right to free speech would also respect the First Amendment right of the free press, he said.

Olympia Police Detective Rich Allen, who has been assigned to investigate the vandalism at The Olympian, said he will coordinate with Tumwater detectives investigating the vandalism at Overmans home. Allen said Overmans prior history as an assault victim, and now being targeted for crimes at his home, is over the line from what police normally deal with in vandalism cases. Seattle, WA: SUV attacked in solidarity with eco-anarchist prisoners 06/11/2011 Last night in honor of June 11, a luxury SUV parked in a rich area of Seattle had the majority of its windows ruined and the words Yuppie Scum spraypainted on the exterior. This was done in the tradition of struggle in the Northwest against all those who wish to destory the earth. In solidarity with Sadie, Exile, Marie Mason, Eric McDavid, Grant Barnes, and all other eco prisoners including those who live semi-free in clandestiny. Dedicated to the memory of Avalon! Tacoma, WA: Visits to development office and bank in solidarity with eco-anarchists 06/11/2011 In the early hours of June 11, an architecture office (once responsible for the design of the now defunt Point Ruston yuppie development) had paint thrown all over its sign and anti-development slogan written on the wall. A bank nearby had windows covered in paint. These are small gestures of solidarity with those eco-anarchists still locked up in prisons across the country as well as those who are still facing trials and those who are currently on the run. Against all prisons and the prison society that keeps humanity and the earth in chains. Olympia, WA: Triway Enterprises Targetted 06/11/2011 On Saturday June 11th the development company Triway Enterprises, located in Olympia Washington, had its door and faade covered in paint and corrosive material splattered on its windows. This was done because Triway, like nearly every other development company, attempts to pass of their destruction of the land as green and sustainable. As has been said before eco-mansions are not sustainable and never will be, and development companies will always be met with resistance. This act goes out to Eric McDavid and Marie Mason, two long-term, non-cooperating, green scare, anarchist prisoners. Olympia, WA: Logging equipment sabotaged 06/11/2011 Sometime in the morning hours of June 11th a piece of logging equipment somewhere around Olympia Washington was sabotaged. All that was needed was quickset cement, a bottle of saltwater, and a large pipe. This piece of machinery was being used to clear-cut a piece of land to make way for a small development, and will not be running anytime soon unless thousands of dollars are put into repairing the machine. This action was done in solidarity with Eric McDavid, Marie Mason and all non-cooperating green scare prisoners. Solidarity to all anarchist prisoners!

Fresno, CA: Police Memorial in front of Police HQ vandalized 06/14/2011 Johannes Mehserle walked free after serving less than a year in jail after he murdered Oscar Grant in cold blood. Mehserle is free, Oscar Grants daughters still have no father, his parents have no son, he is still dead and his executioner walks free. This is bullshit and in response the pig memorial in front of FPD HQ had paint thrown on it with the message Oscar Grant was here, Rest In Power Brother. These pigs cant keep getting away with killing our people. Angelo Fernandez was recently shot in the back by FPD, he was unarmed. This problem of killer pigs is not only in Oakland but also in Fresno and pretty much every city. We will not sit idly by while this happens. The time to fight back is now, choose targets, cover your tracks, plan your actions out and strike. No Justice, No Peace, Fuck the Police! San Francisco, CA: Chilean consulate building attacked in solidarity with Tortuga and A14 defendants 06/14/2011 In solidarity with our comrades in Chile, in particular Tortuga and the defendants of the so-called Bombs Case, we attacked the building housing the Chilean consulate in San Francisco. The locks to several doors were glued shut and the windows were permanently etched. No damage could compare to the pain inflicted on our fellow anarchists struggling in Chile: the stolen moments, flesh, freedom. But we wanted to express our total solidarity with their struggle. Our solidarity is only meaningful insofar as we see their efforts as reflected in our own activity. The struggle against prison society and capital is global. PRISONERS TO THE STREET Santa Cruz, CA: Attack on Sheriffs Department Vehicle 07/01/2011 On the night of June 1st, a truck belonging to the Santa Cruz County Sheriffs Department had all of its windows covered in etching fluid. The truck, parked outside the county jail, was attacked as an expression of solidarity with prisoners everywhere. Luciano and Amelia were also in our hearts when this action was taken; your strength inspires ours. War on prison society, brah. Olympia, Wa: Intersection Disruption in Solidarity with Pelican Bay Hunger Strike 07/20/2011 Yesterday at around 5:30 pm the intersection of 4th ave and capitol way was disrupted in downtown Olympia. A giant smoke flare was set off, covering the entire intersection in orange smoke and hundreds of fliers were thrown towards the sky. A banner reading DESTROY ALL PRISONS! (A) SOLIDARITY WITH CALI HUNGER STRIKERS was in process of being hung across 4th ave but some motherfucker decided to drive right through it tearing the banner. Aside from this, many heads turned to look at the commotion that was appearing in the intersection and several people were seen reading the flyer.

Seattle, Wa: Disruption and Banner Drop for Pelican Bay Hunger Strikers 07/20/2011 On Wednesday, July 20th, we hung a banner that read SOLIDARITY WITH CALI PRISONER HUNGER STRIKE (A) DESTROY ALL PRISONS off the sixth floor of the parking garage on 3rd and Pine in Downtown Seattle. Below the banner, a smoke bomb was set off in the intersection, sending enormous plumes of orange smoke into the air. Those who hung the banner tossed thousands of fliers into the concrete canyon below the parking garage. The fliers rained down on the dozens of people waiting for the bus, grabbing lunch, shopping, or simply loitering. We later saw many people on the street reading and discussing the fliers. This action was in solidarity with the Pelican Bay Hunger Strike which, as of the time of this writing, has spread to several other prisons in California. The thousands on hunger strike have been starving themselves for 20 days, some of them losing 25 to 30 pounds and suffering from such ailments as organ failure, loss of consciousness, and severe dehydration. The action took place in one of the most heavily policed areas in Seattle. It is also one of the few public places in which many people still gather. On a normal day, the SPD and the King County Sherriffs patrol the streets on foot and on bike, locking up dozens of people for vagrancy, public intoxication, drinking, smoking weed, or any other reason they can think of. When they are not doing this, they are taking pictures with tourists at Pike Place Market, mock-arresting them and putting them in the back of their vintage cops cars, and parading around on their shitdispensing horses. Despite this heavy police presence, the action was completely succesful. SOLIDARITY WITH THE HUNGER STRIKERS AND ALL PRISONERS EVERYWHERE! TOWARDS THE DESTRUCTION OF ALL CAGES! TOTAL FREEDOM! - anarchists Santa Cruz, Ca: Statue from Santa Cruz Mission Destroyed 07/29/2011 from KION: The Chapel of the Holy Cross Church remained closed Sunday morning while church officials begin to pick up the pieces of a priceless statue destroyed. Its a priceless piece of artwork that came to us from the mission that was destroyed in the 1857 earthquake, said Betty Pedrazzi, Curator of the Mission Gift Shop and Museum. So its part of our collection that we cant replace. The Statue of Saint Joseph is now in several pieces on the chapel floor. It was made around 1791 and normally sits in an archway, several feet off the ground. Santa Cruz Police said Lee Wilson, 54, climbed on top of the altar, knocked it down and stole a piece of it. He was later caught by police near Pacific Avenue and Cooper Street. I think its like a stab in the heart because its a holy object, said Pedrazzi. People really have a lot of reverence and respect for it.
16
So much, in fact, people travel from around the world to see it. The Colbert family drove all the way from San Diego to visit the mission. Tragic for that to happen to a place of worship, said Amy Colbert. Any kind of worship. Terrible. Its really sad. Parishioners told Central Coast News theyre stunned Saint Joseph was vandalized but said theyre not angry with Lee Wilson, instead, theyre praying for him. I dont think it was a hostile thing to the church or to the community, said Francis Krebs, Parishioner. It was an issue of his mental illness and I dont think he was probably very well in control of what he was doing. Santa Cruz Police said Wilson admitted to trying to steal the statue. Hes been charged with felony vandalism, grand theft and a probation violation and remains in the Santa Cruz County Jail. Church officials said theyre trying to fix the statue and expect it to cost thousands of dollars. They said beefing up security at the chapel is under consideration. They expect to re-open the chapel soon. The first mission in Santa Cruz was built in 1791. Two years later, indigenous people from the Ano Nuevo area burned it down, presumably motivated by the kidnappings and forced relocations. Resistance to colonialism in Santa Cruz goes back to the very beginning. 19 years later, in 1812, Father Andrs Quintana was beaten to death and his body disfigured by natives angry over his use of a metal-tipped whip in the punishment of mission laborers. The book A Gathering of Voices contains the purported dialogue between Quintana and his assassins. The padres were also concerned about the continuing catastrophic decline in the number of babies born to their neophyte charges. Often, the Ohlone (and other subjugated peoples) would refuse to procreate, knowing that their children would be born into near-slavery. When a padre at Mission Santa Cruz named Ramon Olbs came to the conclusion that one particular married couple was behaving with excessive sexual inhibition, thereby depriving him of another child to enslave and another soul to offer up to Christ: At this point the woman resisted the padres attempted forced inspection; for that impertinence she received fifty lashes, was shackled, and locked in the nunnery. He then gave her a wooden doll and ordered her to carry it with her, like a recently born child, wherever she went. These anecdotes of genocide, torture, and resistance are only broad strokes on a large canvas. Santa Cruz is a town established by way of genocide and the mission is a living testament to that. The Catholic church has offered nothing in the way of apologies for this (which makes sense, they didnt forgive Galileo until 2008). Even if they did, our hearts would still be with the vandal. As has been said: Men will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest. Seattle, Wa: DOC Building Attacked in West Seattle 08/10/2011 Last night a Department of Corrections office in West Seattle had its windows broken. Against Prison was written on the building as well. In solidarity with all those who face the everyday violence and repression of prison and the police. Fire to the prisons.

Community Policing Office SmashedPortland, OR 08/16/2011 On the night of Aug 16th, we smashed-up the community police contact office located off of SE 47th & Hawthorne in Portland. We dont view community policing programs as a positive step towards police accountability or abolition, but as a conscience effort by the state to further embed systems of social control and snitch culture into our communities. The function of police is not to serve and protect marginalized communities, but to serve and protect the institutions and social relationships which perpetuate the social inequalities that are inherent to capitalism. This is our gesture of solidarity with the anti-police riots in the UK and the Seattle 26. When its time to party we will party hard! Dont fuck with the (A)-Team -some anarchists Fresno, Ca: Cop Cars Burned for West Coast Solidarity 08/18/2011 In Solidarity with Everyone fighting against police brutality and the police state, molotovs were thrown into the parking lot of the Fresno SW substation where police cars and pigs personal vehicles are parked. At least 2 cars burned. This action is done in solidarity especially with those in the East Bay standing up against the murderous BART police who most recently executed Charles Hill. BART then used fascist type methods by shutting down all cell phones in stations where they thought protesters might be showing up. WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED! All police are murderers. FPD recently executed Carl Maggioroni and have a reputation for executing people of color whether they are armed or not. The time to fight back is NOW! We live in a police state, this is all business as usual for them. We have to come together and fight back, FUCK THESE PIGS! This is war, play time is over, join the fight. In solidarity with Oakland, Seattle, Chile, London, Greeceeveryone who is fighting back. See you in the streets. Portland, Or: Portland Banner Drop for West Coast Solidarity 08/20/2011 At 10:45 am this morning a large [8x24ft] Anti-Police/Anti-Oppression banner was dropped from the Grand St. freeway overpass in NE Portland. Hanging next to the N I-84WEasily viewed by crawling traffic, this was a waving expression of West Coast and Worldwide Solidarity with all of those who struggle against police oppression everywhere.

Clackamas, OR: A.L.F. Tears Down Fencing at Commercial Elk Farm 08/29/2011 On the night of August 29th, a small band of animal liberationists crept quietly onto the property of Damascus Elk Farm located at 23255 SE Highway 212 in Clackamas, OR. This farm raises dozens of Roosevelt Elk for commercial slaughter. Once we made it to the elk pens, wire cutters were used to successfully remove a large section of fencing from one of the pens. Unfortunately due to a disturbance, we had to cut our action short and we were unable to open the remaining pens. The total number of animals (if any) that got away is unknown, but the intent of our action should be made perfectly clear: to prevent directly the violence that is inherent to animal agriculture and to liberate sentient animal back into their native habitat. Across the country there are thousands of elk and deer being held captive on farms, waiting to be liberated back into the wild. These acts of liberation are generally low risk and can directly save the lives of animals. Elk and deer farms have little to no security and the small size of the industry makes these farms particularly vulnerable to sabotage. With this act we attempted to remove the last barrier between these wild creatures and their new, free lives. Link by link, these barriers will be dismantled in our society, to create a new ethic of freedom and accountability. Assist us in the struggle for liberation, or stand on the wrong side of history. For all those imprisoned. -Animal Liberation Front Fresno, Ca: Arsonist Fire Bombs A Fresno Police Officers Home 09/04/2011 A Fresno Police officers home is fire bombed early Sunday morning. Its the second time an officer has been the target of a fire starter in less than three weeks. Fresno police arent identifying the woman officer. She finished her shift at 2:00 a.m. Thirty minutes after arriving at her northwest Fresno home, Chief Jerry Dyer says an arsonist struck several times. There were several Molotov cocktails that were thrown into the house causing both external and internal fire damage. The Fresno Fire dept. immediately put out the fire. The windows and front door have now been boarded up. Fresno Police and Fresno Fires arson unit are conducting a joint investigation. First off whether or not she was specifically targeted and if so was she specifically targeted because shes a police officer, Chief Dyer said. Two and a half weeks ago an arsonist struck at the southwest Fresno policing station. A patrol car was torched. Two cars parked nearby belonging to police officers were damaged. But its the Sunday morning arson case that has the Chief concerned. What makes this more concerning isnt only because shes a police officer but the fact that there was another female in the residence as well as three children. Chief Dyer says his department is taking steps to insure the safety of the woman officer, her family and home. So far she has not been placed on administrative leave . The Chief also sent out a voice mail to every Fresno Police Department employee reminding them to be on their toes

until the arsonist is caught. If you have information on this case call the Fresno Police Department DONT SNITCH. Glen Park BART attacked: We didnt do it for the lulz 09/08/2011 On the evening of September 8th, 2011 we sabotaged the fare machines, turnstiles and facade of the Glen Park BART station in South San Francisco. Just as we have been inspired by comparable actions of anarchists world wide, we hope to act as a catalyst to incite similar actions against the state and its apparatuses of control. Our spray cans dispensed slogans and our hammers shattered screens and ticket readers. We look to each other to find meaning and reject the limiting discourse of rights and free speech as a vehicle for our rage. We communicate this now to denounce the authority of a society that violently represses us every time we step out of line. All police are the enemy. We articulate this when we choose to honor the lives of Oscar Grant, Charles Hill and Kenneth Harding by fighting for our own lives. This same passion for freedom can be observed from Seattle to Greece to Chile. As anarchists we understand that the social control of transit fares exists in harmony with the deadly enforcement of the physical, emotional, and social desolation of our everyday lives. We aim to interrupt this concert at every feasible opportunity. The police and the media will spin this event as petty vandalism. Some will condemn us and suggest that violence against property promotes state repression, but we have lost our fear. We do not seek approval from any authority and for this reason we abandon the tired structure of demand. We look to explore our capacity to exemplify our collective abilities and to encourage others to resist in ever more autonomous and uncontrollabe ways. Freedom to those arrested at todays Powell Street action. See you at the barricades. PS: mad props to the wildcat longshoremen of washington. keep it wild Fire burns 3 vehicles at Everett recruiting office from mainstream media A fire that burned three military vehicles outside a recruiting office is suspicious, and investigators are looking at the possibility it was set, police and fire department spokesmen said. Officers responded to a complaint of a load pop at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday and found a van on fire in the parking lot of a strip mall in southeast Everett where the recruiting office is located, Sgt. Ryan Dalberg said. The fire spread to a second vehicle and damaged a third before arriving firefighters doused the flames. All three vehicles have military plates. Theres no damage to the recruiting office, which is used by multiple branches of the military, said Dalberg and Fire Marshal Rick Robinson. No one was injured. Firefighters were on the scene until early Thursday. Theres no obvious evidence the fire was set. All we have is three badly damaged vehicles and circumstances to look into, Robinson said. Because theyre government vehicles we have to look at the possibility someone set the fire on purpose.

Portland: Break Your Bank Day Communique 11/05/2011 In the early morning hours of the 5th of November, a small part of the 99% decided to strike back at some of the institutions that we hold responsible for the creation of a violent and inequitable world. We smashed the windows out of the Chase Bank and Wells Fargo Bank on Sandy Boulevard, and finished off by throwing a paint bomb through the shattered window. November 5th was Ditch Your Bank Day, and we acted in solidarity with this. We support this and all other tactics that confront the violent forces of capitalism. We also recognize that the crisis we are in is not just about unregulated banks or the mystical Wall Street elite. Poverty, hunger, foreclosures, evictions, and destruction of the natural world are integral parts of capitalism that cant be regulated away. The whole system is rotten to the core and were sick of being treated like collateral. We want to speak out against those who think they represent the rest of Occupy Portland when they condemned David Burgess. Your racist and classist entitlement is disgusting and does not speak for us. While the General Assembly at Occupy Portland has often criticized effective tactics and favored ineffectual nonconfrontational tactics, we want to assert that the Occupy movement is not represented by this and we know already that within Portland there is support by many for tactics which seek to actually confront and challenge those that are responsible for our dire situation. So we use action as our discourse rather than words, and we intend to say much more in the days to come. In solidarity with those arrested at Jameson Square and Terry Schrunk Plaza; those who bravely upheld the GAs decision to hold Main Street; David Anthony Burgess, who has been unfairly condemned for what, if anything, would be an act of self-defense, and solidarity with other occupations that have taken the fight to our enemies, especially in Oakland and Rome. Seattle, Wa: bank closed for day due to suspicious ATM fire 11/09/2011 from mainstream media Seattle police and the Seattle Fire Department are investigating a suspicious fire at a Madison Park Bank of America branch early this morning. Police responded around 2 a.m. to an alarm at the bank at 4112 E. Madison St. Officers found the banks outdoor ATM engulfed in flames and saw fire inside the bank, possibly originating from the ATM fire. The Seattle Fire Department responded and put out the fire. The fire had spread into the bank and attic area, said Seattle Fire Department spokesman Kyle Moore. The fire took about 45 minutes to extinguish, he said. The fire department brought in Henny, an accelerant-sniffing dog. He hit on a couple of items and the ATM, Moore said. Were taking those items to the crime lab to be tested for accelerants. Moore also said Seattle police would be trying to obtain surveillance tapes from the Bank of America and from nearby businesses to look for suspicious activity.
21
The Seattle police Arson/Bomb Squad is investigating. It appears there was no forced entry into the bank, police said. It was not immediately known if the ATM had been burglarized. The bank branch has been boarded up and will not open today, Moore said.

Everything is linked by one guiding thread: the impelling need to destroy all prisons along with the rest of the structures of capital. Nothing less will do.

Afterward:
Both of these methods can be used with a material called a starter log. Which is part paraffin wax part wood chips mixed together. Easily bought at most stores and made from materials at home. They can be torn or taken off in little squares to light, these stay lit for about 5 10 mixtures depending on the ratio of wax to wood. These little devices can be mixed together with the methods above and shoved into the engine of a car through the grill. Lighting the engine and engulfing the car. Very simple, small and compact. The incense method has a tendency to go out in smaller climates. The trick candle method is a lot better it stays lit longer and is a lot hard for it to go out, even with mild wind.
