We are equipped with outstanding R&D abilities as a small size business, having a R&D department, Venture enterprise certificate, and INNOBIZ certificate, and became the representative company in the Korean Anchor industry by obtaining various certifications that prove our advanced management performance, marketability, and future potential. SAMWOO is ceaselessly endeavoring to grow into a world class company from the leading enterprise in the Korean anchor industry, instead of being satisfied with the present status, through various overseas business activities, such as establishing a branch in Vietnam and business partnerships with foreign construction companies. We are realizing our vision of distributing the Korean anchor technology around the world. Everyone, including individuals and companies who conduct designing, construction, auditing, and supervising regarding the ground anchors! Here we are, the best for any work regarding anchors. The SAMWOO family can solve any problems you may have. If there is a need to design and install ground anchors in the moon, SAMWOO will take care of it.

Ground Anchor
Ground Anchor
Ground anchor is a system that stabilizes the structure against excessive transformation, or displacement by fixing a highly strong tension member such as the P.C. strand to both sides of the inner ground and the structure and applying Pre-Stress. Ground anchors are widely used to stabilize structures at various domestic and overseas construction and engineering sites with its outstanding economical quality and constructability for the past 50 years since its commercialization.

Classification of Ground Anchors
Ground anchors can be classified by their types of fixation ground, installation direction, grouting method, term of usage, and supporting method. The most common classification is as shown in the table below. Based on the term of use, anchors used to temporarily support temporary walls or grounds are called temporary anchors, and those used to resist load for long terms of two years or more, and that are related to the remaining period of the structure, are called permanent anchors. Also, anchors can be classified into frictional type anchors that are supported by the friction of the grout and the ground, ground pressure type anchors that acquire anchoring force with the passive resistance of the ground using ground pressure boards or piles, and complex type anchors that are a combination of the above two types, based on the supporting method of the fixation ground. Frictional type anchors can also be classified into tensile type anchors and compressive type anchors based on the load application method to the grout. Lastly, compressive type anchors can be classified into load concentrative type anchors and load distributive type anchors depending on the distribution of the load.

SW-RCD Anchor
SW-RCD Anchor System
The strong points of using anchors for constructions in urban centers include effective construction management and shortening of the construction period, but this also caused serious problems, due to the difficulties in removing the tension members in later construction works or when issuing usage permits for nearby areas. Especially, the strength per cross section of P.C. strands that are used as tension members are about six times stronger than normal steel rods, which makes it very difficult to remove the stands buried in the ground, causing much loss of excavation equipments and drilling equipments due to the anchors used at the nearby construction sites. Therefore, a removable anchor was developed to enable the removal of the P.C. strands according to the construction process after completing the excavation process, which is now being widely used. The SW-RCD anchor system, a compressive-distributive type removable anchor that can be removed after usage, is a representative anchor product developed and commercialized by SAMWOO for the past years. SAMWOO had obtained numerous patents for this product, and since this product can be removed by man force without requiring cranes or backhoes such as the existing U-Turn anchors, it is a removable anchor system that is most efficient in various aspects, such as time, space and cost.

Removal Principle of the SW-RCD Anchor
When fixing the SW-RCD anchor, the removal screw this point. is located at the upper groove of the wedge, and the strand is completely bound at After completing the construction and when removing the strand, the confining force is dissolved by cutting the head part of the anchor, and has weak confining forces. strand , wedge , and removal screw Then, by rotating strand , the removal screw moves to the removal net Therefore, the strand is freed from confinement, and removed. inside of the upper head cap, and the wedge also moves.

SW-PCD Anchor
SW-PCD Anchor System
SW-PCD anchor system is a compressive-distributive type permanent anchor, developed and commercialized by SAMWOO. Unbonded P.C. strands are used as tension members, having outstanding corrosion and rust protection. The block also has sealing structure that has outstanding corrosion protection. SW-PCD permanent anchor system separately confines the strands with grips to maximize the performance of the strands, and since it does not apply concentrated load to the ground, being a compressive-distributive type anchor, it can minimize the creep due to the load, and also, the allowed anchoring force can be adjusted according to the ground condition. Also, since its fixation location is flexible, it can secure the necessary load easily as well as re-tension, even if the bearing plate or block subsides due to the lack of the supporting force of the main floor.
Outstanding corrosion protection process
Block: Separately confines the strands with Grips, maximizing the performance of the strands Tension member: general strand and coated strand, perfect corrosion resistance (grease) and protection with the H.D.P.E Hose
Compressive distributive type system
Minimizes the creep due to load by not applying concentrated load to the ground Prevents free anchor length confinement by perfectly protecting the tension member The allowed anchoring force can be adjusted according to the ground conditions

SW-PCD Anchor System - Guideline
1. Take care not to tear or damage the strand coating. If the strand corrodes through the damaged part, it is difficult for the permanent anchor to fully perform its role. 2. Avoid soiling the anchor body with dirt or alien substances when moving the anchor body at the site. It is difficult to secure anchoring force, not being able to apply compression to the grout. 3. Take care to prevent the destruction of the drilled hole when inserting the anchor body. It is difficult to secure anchoring force, for the grout is yet not filled in.

Anchor Test
Anchor Test Service
SAMWOO began anchor tests in 1998, first in the anchor industry, and has been conducting various anchor tests over hundreds of times domestically and overseas during the past 10 years, including performance tests, proof tests, creep tests, and Lift-Off Tests. Our accruing technologies and know-how is contributing to the development of related industries, and is being the foundation of development and producing better anchor products.
Test Types and Methods
Performance Test
Pull-out test : pull-out tests are conducted to investigate and prove the ground conditions proposed in the design conditions, used materials, the quality of the anchor based on the safety rate, and the preciseness of the design before actual anchor construction. Jacking test : Jacking tests are conducted to anchors installed under conditions identical to that of actually applied anchors, and are jacked to the actual load level. The test is conducted until the fact that stabilization in the allowed scope has been achieved is proved, regarding the anchor jacking or creep destruction.
Performance Test
Proof Test
Proof tests are conducted to prove and evaluate the fact that the performances of all the anchors are fit for the site condition.
Creep Test
Creep tests are conducted to judge whether the load has been decreased due to the anchor's creep (relaxation of the strand, creep of the grout, ground, bonded anchor length), and its purpose is in determining the creep's tendency than quantitatively judging it. Extended creep test takes a long time (about 8 hours). This test is for measuring the creep transformation of the anchor, and is required for anchors built into clay grounds that have plasticity indexes of 20 or more, and liquid limits of 50 or more.
Proof Test
Lift-Off Test
Lift-off test is conducted to confirm the tension of the ground anchor that has already been fixed. Refer to the test result as data for the malignance of the tension.
Extended Creep Test
Elastic and Residual Movement

Production Facility
SAMWOO has a production factory, comprising two production buildings, one office, and one laboratory and dormitory (a total of four buildings) in a 1.7 acre land in Gimpo city, Gyeonggi-do. We apply standardized production processes and semi-automated processes, and have a total of four production lines, including two RCD lines for the production of SW-RCD anchor system, one PCD line for SW-PCD anchor systems, and a PTF line for SW-PTF anchor systems.
Laboratory and Quality Management
SAMWOO periodically conducts self-governed quality management tests to provide high quality products to the customers, performing various tests for the improvement of the anchor quality and the development of new products, such as the strand yield and break test, wedge grip test, high pressure waterproof test, real model test board, and compression strength test, with the various test equipments at the separate test room in the factory.
