7. What is the PMP® Exam Like
The PMP examination is comprised of 180 questions.
Of the 180 questions, 5 are considered pretest questions.
Pretest questions do not affect the score and are used in examinations as an effective and legitimate
way to test the validity of future examination questions. All questions are randomly placed throughout
the examination.
Allotted Examination Time 230 Minutes
The exam is divided into two sections with a 10-minute break once the first section is completed.
Questions will be a combination of multiple-choice, multiple responses, matching, hotspot and
limited fill-in-the-blank.
The PMP® certification exam can be completed in your home or office or Prometric Centre.
