Theme: Youth Empowerment for a Sustainable Future
M: A very good morning to one and all present here! I’m Merlin…
A: …and I’m Aarish. Together, we’ll be your hosts for today’s special assembly themed on
International Youth Day,2025.
M: Observed on August 12 every year, this day celebrates the potential of youth as members
of today’s global society. This year’s theme is “Youth Empowerment for a Sustainable
Future” --- reminding us that the future of the world lies in the dreams and determination of
its young people.
A: Let’s begin this morning on a peaceful note. I invite Deeksith to the stage and request
everyone to join their hands, close their eyes and bow their heads for the morning prayer
followed by a prayer song to uplift our spirits and guide us through the day.
M: Thank you. That truly calmed our minds and hearts.
A: We’d like to invite Janya to share the thought of the day.

M: Thank you for that inspiring thought.
A: Let’s now reaffirm our loyalty and love for our nation with the pledge.
M: I request everyone to stand straight and join in the pledge with sincerity.

A: Thank you. To take this theme further we now present a short skit performed by our
fellow students.
M: This skit highlights the challenges young people face in today’s world and how youth
empowerment can lead to real, lasting change. We hope it makes you think, reflect and feel
proud to be part of this generation.

A: A big round of applause for our performers! That was a beautiful and meaningful
portrayal of youth strength and purpose.
M: We now invite our respected teacher, Shanil Sir, to share a few words with us on the
importance of youth and how we can become responsible global citizens.

A: Thank you, sir, for that inspiring message. Your words remind us that age is not a barrier
to making a difference.
M: And now, we are deeply honoured to invite our beloved Principle/ Coordinator,

A: Thank you, brother/ma’am, for your guidance and motivation. We are indeed the
torchbearers for tomorrow.
M: Let us now raise our voices in unity for the school song, which reminds us of the values
our institution holds dear.
