Dear ABUBAKAR SIDDIK S,
This is with reference to your selection for internship under the PM Internship Scheme with HDFC
BANK LIMITED in the field of Sales & Marketing. We are pleased to share this provisional internship
letter for you to read and understand all the relevant information and conditions.
2. This internship will provide you with valuable on-the-job training, exposure to real-life business

Ensure maintenance of queue.
Providing Demos to customers on payment using Pay Zapp, Purchase through Smart Buy.
The Interns Scope of work activities will involve: Documents collection from Customers, Account

3. Subject to the fulfilment of terms & conditions of the internship offered, you will be provided with the
following benefits during your internship:
One-Time Grant for Incidentals Rs. 6,000 to be paid by the government, on your joining the
internship Monthly Assistance.
A stipend of Rs. 5,000 per month, with Rs. 500 provided by the company and Rs. 4,500 provided
by the government.
Insurance Coverage: Coverage under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and PM Jeevan
Jyoti Bima Yojana, provided by the government.
4. Please note that this provisional internship letter is an offer for internship and will be confirmed upon:
i. Your acceptance of the annexed terms and conditions of the internship and completing all required
joining formalities.
ii. Reporting to the work at No.244, Sai Towers, Pollachi Road, Udumalpet, Udumalpet, Tamil Nadu

Enclosure: Roles and responsibilities of the interns, Roles and responsibilities of the company, Terms
and Conditions.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE INTERNS
Sr.No Responsibility
1 Adherence to Office Timings: The interns are required to be punctual and maintain regular
attendance according to the office schedule.
2 Code of Conduct: The interns are expected to adhere to the company's policies, rules, and
professional ethics. Any misbehaviour or non-compliance may lead to termination.
3 Active Participation: The intern shall perform duties assigned by the company faithfully and
to the best of their ability, complete assigned projects within the specified time frame, and
participate in professional development activities.
4 Leave Policy: Interns are required to adhere to the company's leave policies and provide prior
notice for any leave. Approval is at the company's discretion.
5 Emergency Leave and Sabbatical: In cases of emergencies, a sabbatical of up to two months
may be granted, but financial assistance will not be provided.
6 Unauthorized Absence: If an intern is absent without approval and fails to rejoin despite two
notices, the internship will be terminated.
7 This engagement is in the capacity of an intern and shall not be construed as employment
for any intent and purposes. Moreover, the current engagement does not entitle the intern to
claim permanent employment with the Company.
8 The intern shall not be entitled to any benefits and allowances applicable to the employees/
apprentices/ other interns of the company, engaged through any other scheme or otherwise.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COMPANY
Sr.No Responsibility
1 The company will update the PM Internship Portal upon the intern's successful commence-
ment of the internship. This notification will initiate the release of one-time assistance for
incidentals for Rs. 6,000 via Direct Benefit Transfer to the intern's bank account.
2 Mentorship and Supervision: The company shall assign a qualified mentor or supervisor to
guide and support the intern throughout the internship period.
3 Training and Development: The company shall offer practical, hands-on training that aligns
with the current industry standards. At least 50% of the internship duration must be dedicated
to practical, hands-on work.
4 Workplace Exposure: The company shall provide the intern with real-life business experience
by allowing them to work on actual projects. Further, it must be ensured that the intern has a
clear understanding of the tasks and responsibilities assigned.
5 Safe and Professional Work Environment: The company shall maintain a safe and conducive
work environment that supports the intern's learning and growth.
6 The company shall provide a minimum monthly stipend of Rs. 500 to the intern. After the
payment of Rs. 500 by the company, the government will release the amount of Rs. 4500
through Direct Benefit Transfer to the intern.
7 The company will offer regular feedback on the intern's performance to foster growth and
address any areas of improvement and conduct evaluations at different stages of the internship
to track progress and provide guidance.
8 The company would establish a prompt grievance redressal system with support available
through the PM Internship Portal.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Sr.No Term Description
1 Stipend and Other Entitlements :- The Candidate/Intern agrees and acknowledges that:
Candidate/Intern shall be paid monthly assistance of Rs.5000/-(Rupees Five Thousand only)
for the entire duration of 12 months of the internship. Out of the aforementioned amount the
Bank shall, based on the attendance and adherence to the Code of Conduct and other policies
of the Bank, will release Rs.500/- to each Candidate/Intern’s Adhaar seeded bank account
number as updated by the said Candidate/Intern on the Portal. Upon payment by the Bank of
the said amount of Rs.500/-, the government will pay the balance amount of Rs.4500/- to the
Candidate/Intern through Direct Benefit Transfer.
2 Confidentiality/NDA :- Confidential Information shall mean and include all tangible and intan-
gible information obtained/received/gained/developed or disclosed to or accessed (whether
intentionally or inadvertently) by the Candidate/Intern, including all details, documents, data,
passwords of any nature, business/customer information, transaction records, whether propri-
etary or non-proprietary, financials and/ or operational information, data, know-how, structure
and documentation, intellectual property rights and/or software rights, interest and knowledge,
information described as proprietary or designated as confidential information, information
disclosed to the Candidate/Intern by any third party which information the Candidate/Intern is
obligated (whether by any relevant law or otherwise) to treat as confidential information, and
the Bank’s practices and trade secrets and such other information that the Bank may consider
confidential, including any information in relation to or of the Bank’s affiliate, customers or any
third party.
The Candidate/Intern accepts and agrees that he/she shall:
(i)comply with any request made or direction given by the Bank, including in connection with
the requirements of any data protection laws; and
(ii)not do or permit anything to be done which might jeopardise or contravene the terms of any
registration, notification or authorisation under any data protection laws or policies of the Bank;
and
(iii)not access, use, store (beyond the period specified by the Bank hereunder) or process
any Confidential Information (including any personal data) unless it is acting on the express
instructions of the Bank and only for the purposes of fulfilling his/her obligations as Candi-
date/Intern and to comply with instructions the Bank from time to time in connection with use
of such Confidential Information; and
(iv)not transfer Confidential Information which has been obtained by or made available to
him/her within one country or outside that country, or allow persons outside that country to
have access to it, without the prior written approval of the Bank; and
(v)consider all suggestions by the Bank to ensure that the level of protection provided for data
is in accordance with the instructions of the Bank; and
(vi)take all necessary steps and precautions to protect the Confidential Information against
any unauthorized use and / or disclosure in violation of the instructions of the Bank and notify
the Bank in writing immediately upon becoming aware of the occurrence of any unauthorized
release/ access/ use/ disclosure of the Confidential Information or any breach;
(vii)not disclose, transfer, use, lecture upon or publish any of the Confidential Information,
except as such disclosure, use or publication may be required in connection with its work and
on a "need to know" basis and only upon obtaining prior permission from the Bank or unless
the Bank expressly authorizes such disclosure, in writing;
(viii)the Confidential Information will not be used or permitted to be used by the Candi-
date/Intern in any manner even after successful completion / termination of Internship of the
Candidate/Intern with the Bank;
3 Code of Conduct :- The Candidate/Intern accepts and agrees that he/she shall comply with
the below-mentioned rules, regulations, codes etc of the Bank and if the candidate wishes to
view / read the, they can ask from the HR SPOC directly as and when required by them :
1.Code of Conduct and Ethics Manual;
2.Conduct Regulations Policy;
3.Conflict of Interest Policy;
4.POSH Policy;
5.Internal Guidelines on anti-corruption;
6.Privacy Policy and
7.Information Security Policy
4 Intellectual Property :- The Candidate/Intern agrees, understands and acknowledges that:
1.The Bank is the sole owner of its intellectual property rights including but not limited to
existing trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, logo and other intellectual property, without
conferring any interests therein.
2.The Bank does not assign any intellectual property rights (whether express or implied) at
any time in favour of the Candidate/Intern.
3.He/she shall protect and not to use or cause to be used, directly or indirectly, any of the
intellectual property rights of the Bank in any manner whatsoever without the prior written
permission of the Bank.
5 Termination :- Withdrawal/Drop-out of Internship shall mean if the Candidate/Intern stops at-
tending to their Internship requirement suddenly and without notice to their mentor/supervisor
assigned by the Bank and fail to respond and/or rejoin despite two attempts of communication
over a reasonable period by the mentor/supervisor or if they express an unwillingness to
continue.
1.In case of Withdrawal or Drop-out the Candidate/Intern will not be permitted to rejoin and
will not be issued Internship certificate. Further, such Candidate/Intern will be considered as
disqualified for applying for any Internship for one year under The Prime Minister Internship
Scheme.
2.Termination: In case of non-satisfactory performance of the Candidate/Intern, based on the
feedback received from the mentor/supervisor, the Bank shall first issue a warning letter to
such Candidate/Intern thereby allowing him a period of a month for improvement. In case
in the opinion of the mentor/supervisor if the Candidate/Intern has not shown a satisfactory
improvement within the allowed time frame, then the Bank reserves the right to terminate the
Internship of such Candidate/Intern with immediate effect and treating the same as Drop-out
and the said Candidate/Intern will not be eligible for receiving further stipend and/or other
entitlements as the case may be. The Bank also reserves the right to not issue Internship cer-
tificates to such Candidate/Intern and such Candidate/Intern will be considered as disqualified
for applying for any Internship for one year under The Prime Minister Internship Scheme
6 Non-Compete :- In case of non-competency of the Candidate/Intern, based on the feedback
received from the mentor/supervisor, the Bank shall first Issue a warning letter to such
Candidate/Intern thereby allowing him a period of a month for improvement. In case of non-sat-
isfactory improvement within the allowed time frame in the opinion of the mentor/supervisor,
then the Bank reserves the right to terminate the Internship of such Candidate/Intern with
immediate effect and the said Candidate/Intern will not be eligible for receiving further stipend
and/or other entitlements as the case may be. The Bank also reserves the right to not issue
Internship certificates to such Candidate/Intern.
7 Data Security and Privacy :- The Candidate/Intern accepts and agrees that he/she shall
comply with the below-mentioned rules, regulations, codes etc of the Bank:

2.Information Security Policy.
8 Health and Safety :- The Candidate/Intern accepts and agrees and acknowledges that insur-
ance coverage shall be provided to each Candidate/Intern under Insurance Scheme of the
Government of India, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima
Yojana, for which premium amount shall be provided by the Government of India. Bank may
voluntarily also provide accidental insurance coverage to the Candidate/Intern.
9 Background Verification Checks :- The Candidate/Intern accepts, agrees and acknowledges
that the Bank shall conduct suitable background checks (including any credit information check
from a credit information company) and diligence on the Candidate/Intern, either through
itself or any external agency as the case may be, before issuing the Internship letter to the
Candidate/Intern.
10 Police Verification :- The Candidate/Intern accepts, agrees and acknowledges that the Bank
shall conduct criminal background check, character and antecedent verification either through
itself or any external agency as the case may be, before issuing the Internship letter to the
Candidate/Intern.
11 Equipment Usage :- The Candidate/Intern accepts, agrees and acknowledges that :
i.during the Internship period the Bank may provide requisite documents, forms, papers, cards
and other material to enable the Candidate/Intern to perform its obligations/duties and the
Candidate/Intern shall arrange to make the data entry/ use the data as per the specifications
that may be given by the Bank from time to time.;
ii.The Bank may, at its sole discretion, decide to provide access to the computer systems and
the usage of the computer systems shall be in accordance with the internal policies of the
Bank.
iii.the Candidate/Intern shall be held solely liable for any loss, damage or hardship caused to
the Bank due to misuse of such computer system, documents, cards etc.
12 Safety Protocols :- In addition to the terms and conditions mentioned under the caption Health
& Safety, the Candidate/Intern accepts, agrees and acknowledges that:
(a)He/She shall observe and comply with all instructions given by or on behalf of the Bank's
management and with the Bank's rules and regulations then in force.
(b)He/She shall maintain acceptable standards of dress and appearance during the working
hours of the Bank.
(c)He/She shall not eavesdrop while providing their services at the Bank premises or in public
places with the Bank’s information in physical or electronic form.
(d)He/She shall not handle or discuss Confidential Information at public places.
(e)He/She shall not damage the area allotted by the Bank.
(f)He/She shall, at all times, must be wearing the ID Card supplied to them by the Bank
13 Others :- The Candidate/Intern accepts, agrees and acknowledges that:
i.The Bank’s Confidential information shall not be stored on his/her mobile device or removable
media (such as external disks, USB memory storage, smart phone, cell phone, and backup
media). If he/she stores bank’s Confidential Information without prior written permission of the
Bank, the Bank reserves the right to initiate necessary disciplinary action against him/her.
ii.He/She shall treat passwords as confidential and not share account or password information
with anyone. Providing access to another individual, either deliberately or through failure to
secure its access, is not acceptable.
iii.He/She shall not connect their personal PCs, PDAs, laptops, smart phones and workstations
to the bank’s network.
iv.He/She shall not use the Bank’s environments or Confidential Information for development
or testing of any system or for any other purpose other than the Bank’s prior written permission
v.He/She shall be held liable for causing a security breach including, but not limited to,
accessing data, servers, or accounts to which he/she are not authorized; circumventing user
authentication on any device; or sniffing network traffic.
vi.He/She shall be held liable for causing a disruption (during the performance of his/her duty)
including, but not limited to, ICMP floods, packet spoofing, denial of service, heap or buffer
overflows, and forged routing information for malicious purposes.
vii.He/She shall be held liable for introducing honeypots, honeynets, or similar technology on
the bank’s network.
viii.He/She shall be held liable for violating copyright law, including, but not limited to, illegally
duplicating or transmitting copyrighted pictures, music, video, and software.
ix.He/She shall be held liable for exporting or importing software, technical information,
encryption software, or technology in violation of international or regional export control laws.
x.He/She shall be held liable for intentionally introducing malicious code, including, but not
limited to, viruses, worms, Trojan horses, e-mail bombs, spyware, adware, and key loggers.
xi.He/She shall comply with the rules, regulations, policies and/or guidelines of the Bank
including in relation to the timings, holidays, conduct, leaves and discipline.
xii.The Bank in its sole discretion (unless otherwise directed by the Ministry in this regard) re-
serves the right to grant a sabbatical of upto two months (subject to the Bank’s internal policies
in this regard) only in cases of (i) medical emergency and/or (ii) demise of family members
and/or (iii) such other extenuating or emergency circumstances. During the sabbatical period,
no financial assistance either by Bank and/or by Government of India shall be provided to
the Candidate/Intern, however he/she shall be permitted to rejoin and complete the remaining
duration of overall 12 months of Internship period. In case the sabbatical period exceeds two
months then the Candidate/Intern will be required to discontinue the Internship.
xiii.He/She shall be evaluated by the Bank on a continuous basis in respect of his/her
performance and/or conduct in accordance with the applicable internal policies of the Bank.
