ADVANCE LEADERSHIP CAMP – III
WEF 03 OCT 2025 TO 14 OCT 2025
Gen.
1. The Advance Leadership Camp (ALC) for Senior Division and Senior Wing Cadets will be
conducted by NCC Directorate Uttarakhand under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarters, Nainital, from
03 Oct to 14 Oct 2025 at the Old CMP Location, Ranibagh. The camp will be organised and executed
by 79 UK Bn NCC Nainital. The training syllabus of this camp has been meticulously designed to provide
Cadets with immersive exposure to diverse life situations that demand leadership and resilience. The
objective is to cultivate essential leadership qualities, enabling Cadets to respond confidently and
effectively when placed in challenging or unfamiliar environments. Additionally, the camp serves as a
guided platform for those Cadets aspiring to join the armed forces. Through structured mentorship and
exposure to military values, Cadets are aligned with the core objective of the National Cadet Corps — to
develop character, discipline, and leadership among youth, and to nurture their potential for national
service. The general instructions for the camp are structured under the following parts:
3. Learning Objectives
This training program is designed to equip young NCC Cadets (Senior Division, aged 18 to 20 years)
with essential personality development and leadership skills that are crucial for both personal and
professional success.
As part of the 12-day Advanced Leadership Camp (ALC), the program consists of 10 intensive core
training days, aligned with the vision of DG NCC Headquarters to foster leadership potential among
Cadets.
(a) Personality Development. To enhance Cadets’ personal growth through structured self-
improvement strategies, including following :-
(i) SWOT Analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) for self assessment,
(ii) Effective Communication Skills to articulate thoughts confidently,
(iii) Confidence Building exercises,
(iv)Training in Emotional Intelligence (EQ) to manage emotions and interpersonal
relationships,
(v) Social Skills development for better interaction and team engagement.
(b) Leadership Development .To nurture leadership capabilities by engaging cadets including
following :-
(c) Adventure and Resilience Training. To instil courage, mental toughness, and adaptability

(d) SSB Familiarization. To provide awareness and preparation for the Services Selection Board
(SSB) process by including following :-
(e) Exposure to Life Skills and Emerging Technologies. To broaden Cadets’ knowledge and
preparedness for modern challenges including following :-

4. Methodology of Conduct
(a) To ensure optimal learning, effective engagement, and maximum participation, the entire
batch of Cadets will be initially divided into five divisions. These divisions will further be
segmented into platoon-sized groups comprising 25 to 30 Cadets each, promoting personalized
attention and fostering interactive, hands-on training experiences.
(b) The training will be delivered through five specialized capsules, each designed to cover
distinct but complementary objectives. Each capsule will be conducted over a period of two days,
with a total instructional duration of 8 hours. The camp will follow a “split-time rotation model,”
wherein one group of cadets transitions to the next capsule every two days. Over a span of ten
days, every Cadet will have rotated through all five capsules, ensuring comprehensive exposure to
the camp's core training goals.
5. Training Capsules
(a) Leadership & Personality Development Capsule. Focused on enhancing leadership qualities,
confidence, self-awareness, and communication skills through interactive activities, lectures, and
reflection exercises.
(b) Adventure Activity Capsule Designed to develop courage, resilience, and team spirit through
physically challenging yet safe adventure-based tasks incl Rock climbing tech and improvised
rafting tech.
(c) Trekking & Camping Capsule Aimed at cultivating endurance, adaptability, and survival
instincts through guided trekking routes and est temp day camp in natural surroundings and org
routine of camp,
(d) SSB Familiarization Capsule Introduces cadets to the structure, expectations, and psychology
behind the Services Selection Board (SSB), including mock tests and practical exposure.
(e) Social Skills, Motivation & Competitive Spirit Capsule , Engages cadets in activities that
promote social skill and civic responsibility like drone s, Disaster mgt ,First Aid , Cyber Security
and motivational lectures.
6. The detailed objectives, block syllabus, comprehensive training syllabus, manpower requirements and
detailment and other essential resources needed to effectively conduct each training capsule are enclosed in the
appendices listed below:-
7. Duration. The camp will be of 12 days duration i.e. from 03 Oct to 14 Oct 25.
8. Location. The Camp will be conducted at Old CMP Location Ranibagh. The location is
located approx 4 Kms from Railway Station and approx 7 Kms from Haldwani Bus Stand.
9. Camp Responsibility. The Camp will be conducted under the arng of 79 UK Bn NCC
Nainital.
10. Participation. The camp strength will be of approx. 300 Cadets, which will comprise of
Senior Division/Wing cadets from various NCC Dtes. All NCC Dtes will either send an ANO or a
PI Staff along with the Cadets. Details of vacancies of Cadets and detailment of ANO for ALC
are as follows.

11. Training & Administrative Staff. The following staff to be detailed by NCC Group HQ,
Nainital will attend the ALC-III :-

(b) Training Stores. The camp training JCO will prepare a list of training stores
required for imparting training to the Cadets according to the training programme of
the camp & ensure that these stores are taken to the camp under the arrangement of
79 UK Bn NCC Nainital.
15. Competitions. Various competitions will be conducted in Gp activities for which the
camp commander will suitably reward the Cdts and team however following during the trg and
team camp activity as under will be conducted during the camp as competition and suitably
awarded
16 Additional Training Aids/Stores. The camp training JCO will prepare a list of training
stores required for imparting training to the cadets according to the training program of the camp
& ensure that these stores are taken to the camp under the arrangement of 79 UK Bn NCC
Nainital.
17. Administration.
(b) Arrival Date and Time. All Cadets will arrive in the camp location on 03
Oct 2025 (F/N). The reception of Cadets will be arranged by camp Sub Major. All
Dtes will ensure disposition of camp funds immediately on arrival at camp else
Cadets will be RTU.
(c) Departure Date and Time. All contingents to plan their return journey
moves from Old CMP Location Ranibagh with effect from 14 Oct 2025 (A/N).
(d) Accommodation. All Officers, ANO’s, PI Staff, GCI, Civil Staff & Cadets
will be accommodated in built up accommodation.
18. Medical. All ANOs and Cadets attending the camp will be protected against
smallpox, typhoid and cholera. A certificate to this effect will be handed over to the camp
Adjutant in the camp on arrival. MI Room will be established in camp. Serious cases will
be taken to Soban Singh Jeena Base Hospital Haldwani.
19. Documents. The following documents will be brought by the cadet duly signed
by the Principal/ANO/CO and handed over in the Camp Office.
21. Fire Fighting. Camp Sub Maj will ensure that adequate serviceable fire-fighting
equipment is held and fire point is established in the camp.
22. Lighting. Groups are requested to ensure that their Cadets bring along
Torch Lights for emergency use.
23. Cash/Valuable. Cadets are forbidden to bring large amount of cash and
valuables to the camp. However, if any one does so he/she should deposit the same with
the Camp Adjutant for safe custody. No case of loss of cash/valuable will be entertained.
25 Out of Bound Area. All places outside the camp area to include river, nullah,
ponds, shops etc. are out or bound for all rank and cadets. Specific instructions will be
published in the camp routine orders. The following additional points will also be ensured: -
(a) All ANO’s and Cadets will maintain a good standard of turnout.
(b) ANO’s, Cadets and staff will not leave the camp without proper permission
from Camp Commandant.
(c) Cadets will not be allowed to keep a knife, cycle chain or any other weapon
with him.
(d) All non-Sikh NCC Cadets will have a proper haircut.
(e) Any Cadet found guilty of causing damage to property of the camp location,
strict disciplinary action will be taken against them.
26. Miscellaneous.
(a) Leave. No leave will be granted to any Cadet / staff during the camp
except on extreme compassionate ground.
(b) Move Details. All moves to and from Nainital will be under the arrangements
of the respective Group HQ. Adequate cash will be brought by the contingent-in-
charge to cover the onward and return journey by the cadets and for
miscellaneous expenditure. Expected time of arrival by the contingents will be
intimated to 79 UK Bn NCC Nainital by 01 Oct 2025.
27. Camp Funds & TA. All Dtes will ensure disposition of camp funds immediately on
arrival at camp else Cadets will be RTU.
28. Since specialized trg is also being conducted any finances over and above required will be
presented well in time by the Gp HQ / CO 79 Bn NCC.
29. Nominal Roll of Cadets.
(a) All Dtes/Group HQS will ensure to send soft copy of participating cadets as per
appendix ‘B’ by E-mail id i.e. nainital79@yahoo.comlatest by 25 Sep 2025.
(b) The Dtes/Gp HQs in-charge will also carry the soft copy and hard copy of
Nominal Roll signed by Commanding Officer and deposits it with Trg Clerk on
arrival.
31. All concerned will study these instrs carefully and will ensure strict compliance of all
aspects. The successes of the ALC – III solely depends upon the selection, trg and briefing of the
ANOs and Cadets. Hence, it is imperative that all ANOs and Cadets from all Dtes come well
prepared for active participation.
Conclusion
32. This 12-day Leadership and Personality Development Capsule for Senior Division
NCC Cadets is structured to ensure a transformative learning experience. With a balance of
classroom learning, group discussions, hands-on exercises, and outdoor activities, this
program will equip NCC Cadets with skills that go beyond training camps—helping them
excel in academics, careers, and life.

2. The state is home to some of the holiest Hindu shrines like Badrinath, Kedarnath,
Yamunotri, and Gangotri, which are collectively known as the Char Dham. Pilgrims,

RANIBAGH – AT A GLANCE
1. Ranibagh is a serene and picturesque location in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand.

4. Ranibagh’s Old CMP Location is used regularly for conducting camps such as Annual
Training Camps (ATC) & Centrally Organized Camps (COCs).

wildlife, making it an ideal location for outdoor leadership training, trekking, nature
walks, and team-building exercises.
Climate of Ranibagh
1. Summer (April to June): Warm but pleasant, temperatures ranging between 20°C to
32°C.
2. Monsoon (July to September): Moderate to heavy rainfall; lush greenery all around.
