Subject: Request to Withdraw Course Registration for 2nd Semester MSc Engineering
(Session 2021-22)
Sir,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to formally request
the withdrawal of my course registration for the 2nd semester of the MSc Engineering
program session 2021-2022. I regret to inform you that due to an unforeseen job
commitment, I will be unable to sit for the examination as scheduled. I have recently been
selected for course that requires my full dedication and commitment. While I am enthusiastic
about this course and the prospects it holds for my career, it comes with certain
responsibilities and a demanding work schedule. Unfortunately, the nature of this
commitment overlaps with the exam dates and preparation period for my MSc program.
I understand the importance of the examination and the significance of completing the course
requirements. However, considering my current circumstances, I believe it would be unfair to
both the university and myself to attempt to balance both commitments simultaneously. It
would not only compromise my academic performance but also hinder my ability to fulfill
the professional obligations associated with the job. I sincerely apologize for any
inconvenience. I have always been committed to my academic pursuits and it saddens me that
I am unable to complete this particular phase of my MSc program as intended. Nonetheless, I
hope for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
Thank you for your attention, consideration in this matter. I am grateful for the education and
opportunities provided by the department, and I hope to resume my studies in the future.
