4. Steps to Follow
A) Warm up and revision (5 minutes)
Teacher asks: “What technology did you use yesterday?”
Students answer briefly.
Pair discussion: “What technology do you use every day? Can you live without it?”
Class feedback: a few pairs share their answers.
B) Presentation (10 minutes)
1. New Vocabulary
Teacher pre-teaches: digital, screen, remind, search, website, amazing.
Gives simple examples:
o “My phone screen is broken.”
o “The teacher reminded me to do my homework.”
o “I search the internet for information.”
2. New Structure
Focus: Simple Present tense for routines.
Teacher writes examples from the blog:
o “I always start my morning by checking my phone.”

o “I sometimes play online games.”
Highlights frequency adverbs (always, usually, often, sometimes, never).
C) Practice
1. Controlled Practice (10minutes)
Reading Task: Students read Tarek’s blog post silently.
o Q1: Why does Tarek use night mode?
o Q2: What two things does he usually do with his tablet?
Vocabulary Task 1: Classify the given words into noun/verb/adjective.
Vocabulary Task 2: Match column A with B (screen, ebook, laptop, etc.).
2. Free Practice (10minutes)
Speaking Task (Think–Pair–Share):
o Students think about their daily routine.
o Pair work: Ask and answer questions (“How do you start your morning?”
“What do you do after school?”).
o Share routines with the class.
Encourage students to use frequency adverbs: I always…, I sometimes…, I never…
D) Feedback and Consolidation (10 minutes)
Quick class quiz: Teacher asks:
o “Who can tell me why we should take breaks from screens?”
o “What is the main idea of Tarek’s blog?”
Wrap-up: Teacher summarizes: “Today we learned new words about digital life,
read Tarek’s blog, and practiced talking about our routines.”
E) Home Assignment
Write a short paragraph (6–8 sentences) about “A Day in My Digital Life” using at
least 5 of today’s new words and 2 frequency adverbs.
