Role-Play Script (Taglish, 3 Scenes)
Scenario: Alex is feeling overworked (poor work-life balance) and
underappreciated (lack of recognition).
Characters (7):
Alex (Employee) – overworked and feels unrecognized.
Jordan (Manager) – Alex’s immediate manager.
Taylor (HR Specialist) – helps with HR solutions.
Sam (Team Lead) – knows team workload.
Riley (Colleague) – peer support.
Morgan (Senior Manager) – higher leadership.
Casey (Facilitator/Observer) – keeps things on track.
Scene 1: Alex Raises Concerns
Casey (Facilitator):
“Good morning, team. Nandito tayo ngayon kasi may concerns si
Alex about workload and recognition. Alex, please share.”
Alex (Employee):
“Salamat, Casey. Honestly, sobrang napapagod na ako. Almost
Jordan (Manager):
“Thanks for being honest, Alex. Hindi ko alam na ganun kalala yung
late nights mo. Ano usually yung nagpapapuyat sayo?”
Alex:
“Mostly reports and client follow-ups. Even weekends, minsan
nadadala ko pa.”
Sam (Team Lead):
“Tama ka, Alex. Nakikita ko na ikaw yung madalas nauuntog sa
deadlines. Pwede nating i-distribute yung reports para hindi lahat
sayo.”
Riley (Colleague):
“Totoo yan. Alex has been working super hard. Nakaka-apekto na sa
kanya personally. We should help out more as a team.”
Scene 2: Exploring Solutions
Taylor (HR Specialist):
“From HR’s perspective, hindi pwedeng lagi kang OT, Alex. Pwede
Also, baka
kailangan din natin ng recognition program—like weekly shoutouts
or appreciation posts.”
Morgan (Senior Manager):
“I agree. Recognition is important. Hindi pwedeng tahimik lang yung
effort ng tao. If hindi nabibigyan ng pansin, morale ng buong team
apektado.”
Jordan (Manager):
“So here’s an idea: 1) redistribute reports among team members, 2)
assign rotation for after-hours work, and 3) every Friday meeting,
magbibigay tayo ng recognition sa top contributions. What do you
all think?”
Sam (Team Lead):
“Sounds good. I can help oversee task distribution.”
Riley (Colleague):
“I like the Friday recognition. Mas motivating kung alam mong may
nakakapansin ng work mo.”
Alex (Employee):
“That would help a lot. Ang importante sa’kin is makita na valued
yung ginagawa ko.”
Scene 3: Agreement and Commitment
Casey (Facilitator):
“Okay, to summarize: tasks will be shared, may rotation system,
and may regular recognition. Let’s confirm commitments.”
Morgan (Senior Manager):
“As Senior Manager, I’ll make sure this system isn’t just for Alex but
for the whole department. Gusto ko makita ang kultura ng balance
and recognition.”
Taylor (HR Specialist):
“I’ll draft a simple recognition framework and circulate it. Pati
feedback system para employees can express workload concerns
earlier.”
Jordan (Manager):
“I’ll monitor Alex’s workload personally, at sisiguraduhin kong hindi
na siya lagi sa overtime.”
Sam (Team Lead):
“I’ll coordinate sa team para pantay ang tasks. No one should feel
isolated.”
Riley (Colleague):
“I’ll support Alex and the rest of the team. Kung kailangan mag-step
up, I’m here.”
Alex (Employee):
“Thank you, everyone. This means a lot. I feel heard, and now I’m
motivated again.”
Casey (Facilitator):
“Great teamwork, everyone. We’ll reconvene in two weeks to
review. Meeting adjourned.”
