1. As per the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, the centre has been implementing the “Anna Chakra”
Supply Chain Optimisation Tool under the Public Distribution System (PDS) in 30 States/UTs out of 31. It is not implemented
in Manipur. Anna Chakra was launched in December 2024 to identify optimal routes for the transportation of food grains
while achieving annual savings of Rs 250 crore through reduced fuel consumption, time, and logistics costs. Optimising
India’s food distribution routes has contributed significantly to reducing CO2 emissions, aligning with India’s climate change
commitments. The Anna Chakra has been developed in collaboration with the World Food Programme (WFP) and the
Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT) at IIT Delhi. It is also linked with the Railways’ Freight Operations
Information System (FOIS) via the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) and integrated with the ‘PM Gati Shakti
platform’, enabling geo-location mapping of Fair Price Shops (FPS) and warehouses. {Read more}

3. On 18 August 2025, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared Nepal free of rubella as a public
health problem, becoming the first country in the South‑East Asia Region and the sixth globally to
achieve this milestone under intensified immunisation and surveillance efforts. Rubella, also known
as ‘German measles’, is a contagious airborne viral infection characterized by a mild rash, low fever,
and swollen lymph nodes. It remains the leading vaccine-preventable cause of birth defects, causing
around 1 lakh infants with congenital rubella syndrome (CRS) annually worldwide, especially when infection occurs in the
first trimester, with risks of miscarriage or fetal damage. The success in Nepal followed nationwide vaccination, introduction
of a second dose, repeated immunisation campaigns, and a strong laboratory-based surveillance framework. Meanwhile,
globally, several WHO regions have set goals for rubella elimination, with the Americas and Australia already certified
rubella‑free. Meanwhile, India has made significant strides in combating rubella, since introducing the rubella-containing
vaccine into its routine immunization programme in 2017. The country has achieved coverage of over 93.7% for the first
dose and 92.2% for the second dose in 2024-25, recorded a 17% reduction in rubella cases in 2024 compared to the previous
year, and reported 487 districts with zero rubella cases between January and March 2025. {Read more}

9.81% of outstanding loans by Scheduled Commercial Banks, up from 5.47% in March 2018. This notable increase is driven
by the scheme’s collateral-free loans extended to new entrepreneurs and underserved borrowers. In contrast, the overall

informed Parliament that NPA by number of accounts under Mudra is 2.19 % as of March 2025, down from 2.71 % in March
2018, indicating improved repayment on an account basis. PMMY was launched on April 8, 2015, to provide loans up to 20
