Work-Related Learning Opportunity – One-Year Placement
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Devure Sub-Catchment Council for a one-year Work-
Related Learning placement. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and motivated
students.
About Devure Sub-Catchment Council
Devure Sub-Catchment Council is a statutory water management body in Zimbabwe, established
under the Water Act of 1998 (Chapter 20:24). It operates under the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture,
Fisheries, Water and Rural Development and serves as the lowest tier in the country’s water
governance structure.
Devure SCC is responsible for the management and regulation of water resources within the
Devure River Basin, which ultimately drains into the Save River. Its core mandate includes
promoting sustainable water use, regulate and supervise the exercise of permits for the use of
water, Resolve Water Use Conflicts, and engaging stakeholders in integrated water resources
management at sub-catchment level.
Requirements:
Must be currently studying towards a degree in:
Accounting or any business science degree with strong accounting orientation
Recommendation/letter from the institution
Good communication and interpersonal skills
