TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION FOR IDLERS:
1) Tube :
The Idler Roller will be manufactured from ERW Tube as per IS : 9295 YST : 210.
The Tube dia. will be 152.4 mm for Carrying and Return Side and Impact with Self Cleaning Roll 190 mm Rubber OD x
139.7 mm Tube. The Tube Thickness will be 4 mm (MINIMUM)

2) Shaft :
The Rolls will be provided with Shaft manufactured from Cold Drawn Bright Bar, as per BS – 970 (080M40), Part - III
(1991) (EN -8) or 40C8 IS : 1570 - 1979. The Shaft dia will be as per the Tender specification.

3) Bearing Housing :
Bearing Housing will be manufactured from deep drawn quality CRCA sheet as per IS – 513 Grade - EDD.
The Bearing Housing Thickness 4.0 mm for Carrying, Return and Impact Idlers.
The pressed steel pulley head are welded with the tube on a special welding machine.

4) Bearing :
Bearing No. will be provided Deep Groove Ball Bearing. Make of Bearing : SKF / FAG.
Life of Bearing 80,000 hrs. The shaft dia. at Bearing no. as follows :
i) 35 mm Shaft dia. at Bearing No. = 6307 ZZ (SKF / FAG Make)
ii) 30 mm Shaft dia. at Bearing No. = 6306 ZZ (SKF / FAG Make)
iii) 25 mm Shaft dia. at Bearing No. = 6305 ZZ (SKF / FAG Make)
iv) 20 mm Shaft dia. at Bearing No. = 6304 ZZ (SKF / FAG Make)

5) Sealing :
The roller will be provied with Multi – labyrinth non-contact type seals which keep dust, moisture and
away from bearing. A waterproof weather –cap at the roller end prevents water entering along side the shaft.
A specially designed back seal prevents grease from entering inside the roller. The sealing arrangement has been
made for ample storage space for grease for smooth running of roller. The entire roller shall be sealed and
greased for life with high lithium base grease during assembly.

6) Item Details :
a) Labyrinth – Made of Nylone -6 ( Both Outer & Inner ).
b) Back Seal - Nylone -6
c) Rain Cap - Nylone -6
d) Dust Cover – CRCA as per IS - 513 Grade - DD.
e) Circlip - Spring Steel - IS : 3075.

7) Roller shall be grease packed and sealed for life with HI Lithium base grease.

8 ) The Eccentricity (Diametrical Run Out ) : As per IS : 8598 Except Impact & Self Cleaning Roll

9) Friction Factor : 0.02 max. Except Impact & Self Cleaning Roll

10) All Idler Roller are Dust Proof and water Proof.

11) Rubber Disc : Natural Rubber, Shore Hardness : 65 ±5, Shore - A

12) Frame : All Frame Material IS : 2062 - 2011 Gr - E250, Quality - A

Painting
For Frame : Frame will be painted with Two Coats of Zinc Phospahte primer (30x2 = 60µ)
Two Coats of synthetic enamel finish paint (30x2 = 60µ) after Proper Cleaning.
Total DFT - 120µ, RAL-9002 Grey

Roll : The Roller will be painted with one coat of Zinc Phospahte primer (30µ) and one coat of synthetic enamel paint.
(30µ). The Total DFT will be 60µ.. Colour - RAL-9002 Grey
