Analyst – Valuations & Opinions Group (VOG) April 2023 - Present
Provide valuation advisory services, 9primarily of illiquid debt and equity securities held by hedge funds, private
credit funds, private equity funds, alternative asset managers and business development companies (BDCs) for fair
value reporting of the funds’ assets to investors.
Perform ~80 portfolio company valuations per quarter for 15+ clients with a median EBITDA of ~$50 million,
covering performing and distressed debt (first lien, second lien, unitranche, subordinated) and equity securities
(preferred equity, common equity, warrants) across simple and complex capital structures.
Conduct financial statement analysis, review investment memoranda, specific debt and equity agreements, develop
valuation models, participate in due diligence meetings with clients.
Identify relevant comparable public companies and M&A transactions using S&P Capital IQ and Bloomberg.
Utilize DCF, Comparable Companies, Precedent Transactions, LBO, Black-Scholes OPM, Equity Waterfalls, and
proprietary yield methodologies to determine fair value.
Review and oversee valuation models prepared by junior analysts, ensuring quality control, client-specific
requirements, and timely execution. Lead projects involving a team of 5-6 analysts.
