Subject: Contaminated Household Water Supply
Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I wish to draw attention to the
persistent issue of muddy and unsafe water supply in our locality, Ajitha
Vihar. The residents of 768, Silver Apartments and surrounding buildings
have been receiving unfiltered, muddy water for weeks, making it unfit for
drinking or household use.
Despite repeated complaints to the civic authorities, no action has been
taken. This poses serious health risks, especially to children and the elderly.
I urge the authorities to conduct an inspection, clean the pipelines, and
ensure proper filtration. Tanker water should be provided in the interim.
Kindly highlight this issue in your newspaper to ensure prompt redressal.
Yours sincerely,
Soumya

Subject: Increasing Noise Pollution Due to Loudspeakers
Sir,
I wish to highlight a growing problem in our locality—excessive noise from
loudspeakers during religious and social events, often running late into the
night. The residents of Green Park Enclave, especially students and the
elderly, are suffering greatly.
Despite laws restricting loudspeaker use beyond 10 PM, these rules are being
ignored. Repeated requests to the organisers go unheard.
We appeal to the concerned authorities to strictly enforce noise pollution
rules. Timely intervention is necessary to maintain peace and public health.
Your newspaper’s voice can bring attention to this matter and help restore
order.
Yours sincerely,
Somit

Subject: Unhygienic Conditions Due to Overflowing Garbage
Madam,
I wish to bring to light the unhygienic conditions in our area due to
uncollected garbage and overflowing bins. The bins near Lakshmi Lane have
not been cleaned for days, emitting foul smell and attracting stray animals.
This has become a serious health hazard, especially during the monsoon.
Complaints to the municipal office have yielded no action so far.
I urge the civic authorities to ensure regular garbage collection and proper
waste disposal. Sanitation workers must be made accountable for their
duties.
I request you to highlight this issue through your respected newspaper.
Yours sincerely,
Soumya

Subject: Poor Road Conditions in Our Locality
Sir,
Through this letter, I want to express concern over the terrible condition of
roads in and around Raj Path. Large potholes, uneven surfaces, and open
drains make it unsafe for pedestrians and two-wheelers.
Many minor accidents have already occurred, and the monsoon has made it
worse. Schoolchildren and office-goers face great hardship.
We request the concerned authorities to take urgent steps to repair and
resurface the roads. Temporary fixes are not enough—long-term solutions are
needed.
Your support in raising this issue in your newspaper will be greatly
appreciated.
Yours sincerely,
Somit

Sub: Garbage Accumulation In Our Society
Sir,
I, Pranab Paswan wish to draw your kind attention through the columns of
your esteemed daily towards a serious problem faced by the residents of our
locality — the unhygienic and increasing accumulation of garbage in North
Barrackpore Municipality.
For the past several weeks, heaps of garbage have been lying unattended in
several areas, especially near residential blocks and marketplaces. The
municipal waste collection has become irregular, and in some lanes, it has
completely stopped. The stench is unbearable, and the sight is disgusting.
With the monsoon setting in, the situation has worsened. Garbage is blocking
drains, leading to waterlogging and creating a perfect breeding ground for
mosquitoes and other disease spreading insects.
Despite repeated complaints to the municipal authorities, no proper action
has been taken. We fear an outbreak of diseases like dengue, malaria, and
cholera if this continues.
Through your newspaper, I appeal to the concerned authorities to take
urgent steps, increase the frequency of garbage clearance, repair drainage
systems, and impose penalties on irresponsible waste disposal before the
situation spirals out of control.
Yours sincerely,
Pranab Paswan
