ABOUT GNLU
Gujarat National Law University (GNLU)
is committed to excellence in teaching,
research, and holistic development of
the students and staff. It aims to
develop a sense of responsibility
among the students, innovators and
research scholars to cultivate
entrepreneurial spirit by promoting
innovation and skill development.
WHO ARE WE?
The GNLU Legal Incubation Council (GLIC)
established by GNLU, is a section 8 company
that supports startups and legal ventures. It
provides dedicated platform that supports
and nurtures startups and emerging
ventures in the legal domain.
GLIC aims to bridge the gap between
academia and the industry by providing
comprehensive support. Till now the council
has funded 35+ Proof of Concepts and
Startups.
GNLU NATIONAL LEGAL
The GNLU National Legal Ideathon is an annual event that
encourages aspiring legal students to showcase innovative ideas
and solutions to pressing legal issues. It encourages creative
thinking and practical approaches to address legal challenges.
The event fosters innovation, entrepreneurship, and problem-
solving, empowering participants to develop solutions that
positively impact the legal landscape and nurture the next
generation of legal professionals.
CATEGORIES
IDEATION
Participants are encouraged to creatively propose
solutions, showcasing their problem-solving skills,
critical thinking abilities, and ability to identify and
address emerging legal challenges in the ideation
category.
PROTOTYPE
This category often involves utilizing technology and
interdisciplinary methods to create innovative tools,
platforms, or applications that enhance legal
processes, justice access, and service efficiency.
ELIGIBILITY
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Age Limit: 16 years and Above.
Students from various universities and
colleges can participate in the Ideathon.
This includes both undergraduate and
postgraduate students.
The Team composition of Minimum 2 &
Maximum 3 participants is permitted.
SUBMISSION CRITERIA
All submissions must present novel and
innovative ideas. Any indication of
plagiarism or replication will result in
immediate disqualification.
Proposed startup concepts must directly
address the designated problem areas
strictly within the legal domain, in
alignment with the event’s specified theme.
Participation is open to students enrolled in
any academic discipline or program.
