Sample Interview Approach Guide

(Interviewer: Architect | Interviewee: Fellow Architect)

[Before Starting the Interview]

(Smile, make eye contact, and establish rapport)

Interviewer:

"Good [morning/afternoon], [Interviewee’s Name]. Thank you so much for taking the time to
meet with me today. I really appreciate your willingness to share your insights and experiences
as part of this research. Before we begin, I just want to confirm — is it okay if I record this
conversation for accuracy? Your responses will remain confidential, and this recording is only
for my note-taking purposes."

(Wait for confirmation and start recording if permitted)

Opening Remarks

Interviewer:

currently conducting a study on practices among Filipino architects. Through this conversation, I
