A heavy vehicle has 2300kgs and above
A heavy vehicle towing 2 trailers must carry 6 reflective triangles
A heavy vehicle stops 3m from a rail line
You display the red triangles at a distance of 30-50m from a broken vehicle
MAXIMUM SPEED LIMIT
Class 1&2 80km per hour
Class 3&4 120km per hour
General speed limit for all vehicles is 60km per hour
MOTORCYCLE
*Is the only vehicle that does not carry a fire extinguisher
*Is the only vehicle that does not have a reverse gear
*It keeps left lane on the road
*It travels on the center part of the lane
*It carries 1 passenger
*If it has a side car then it carries 2 passengers
*Both motorcyclist & pedal cyclist should wear a crash helmet as the safety device
*If the engine capacity of a motorcycle is 350cc & above it should be fitted with crash bars
*When carrying a passenger it must be fitted with a proper pillion and foot rest
*When overtaking a motorcycle it is necessary to cross the broken white line that is by the
center of the road as if you are passing a big vehicle
*It is not adviced to overtake a motorcyclein a wind weather because it can be easly blown
away
Pedal cyclist should ride their machines in a single file
Pedal cycle carries max load of 40kgs
When looking for following distance of vehicle you divide the given speed by 15

*If it is raining you switch on head lights
*In mist you switch on fog lights

*If oncoming traffic does not deep its lights look slightly to the left

PLAIN INTERSECTION.......It is an intersection that is uncontrolled
*Every vehicle is on the left of the road
*Give way to traffic from your right
*The vehicle that has no traffic from it's right should go first
*If there are 3 cars, traffic that will be having no oncoming traffic always goes last and the
one from it's right goes first if it is not turning right
*At an uncontrolled intersection in urban areas you give way to the right
*At an uncontrolled intersection in rural areas you give way to traffic that has entered the
junction before you
CONTROLLED INTERSECTION.......It is an intersection that is regulatored by a sign, line, robot
or police officer
*Any vehicle that will be facing a sign or a line should stop (goes last)
*If there are 3 vehicle between the 2 car that are not facing a sign, give way to the right
ROBOT CONTROLLED INTERSECTION
*When turning left or right at a robot controlled intersection give way to pedestrains
*When you have stopped over the stop line stay where you are
*If the robot is continuiosly flashing amber or red, give way to traffic from your right

ROUND ABOUT {TRAFFIC CIRCLE}
*Traffic already circulating always goes first & the one from it's back goes second
*When circulating keep close to the island {keep right}

>At a four way stop controlled intersection always give way to traffic that has stopped first
