1. Outcome

Through this activity, students write a text with personal information and the
place of origin of an actor or actress of their preference using the grammar and
vocabulary learned in Weeks 1 and 2.

1. Description

 Step 1: Individual task


 Step 2: Check this week’s study material and your sessions’ notes.
 Situation: Select an actor or actress and look for personal information of the
selected character. Write a post on a forum about him/her with their personal
information to share with the group. You can invent the information. (Ex. real
name, nationality, city, phone number, etc.).
 Content:
 Vocabulary and expressions (Week 1 and Week 2)
 Verb to be (She/he is) 3rd person singular
 Countries and nationalities
 Numbers
 Step 3: Write the text.
 Step 4: Review the content, grammar, and the spelling of your text.
 Step 5: Once you check the text, attach a cover to your writing and upload it to
the virtual platform. Write your name and last name on the cover. Include your
photo.

 Situation: You have a new friend who lives in the USA. He/she wants to know
you more. Send an email to your friend and tell him/her about your daily
routine.


 Content:
 Vocabulary and expressions (Weeks 1-2)
 Verb to be (I am)
 Present Simple
 1st, person in singular form
 Frequency words and expressions of frequency
 Time / Parts of the day
 Collocations
 And and then (coordinating conjunctions)
 Step 3: Write the text.

simple of the verb be in affirmative and negative forms and vocabulary learned
in Week 2.

2. Description

 Step 1: Individual task.


 Step 2: Check this week’s study material and your sessions’ notes.
 Situation: Write a paragraph in which you describe the most important
information you remember about your childhood.

 Content:


 You can use some of the following prompts or use your own:



 Where / born?
 When / born?
 What was your favorite…?



 Who was your favorite…?
 How old was your mother /father when you were born?
 How many people were there?
 What was the weather like?
 What was the food like?



 What were the people like?


 Use the grammar and vocabulary you have learned this week


 The past of the verb to be (was/wasn’t/ were/weren´t)
 The use of There was/There were.
 Adjectives ending in -ing/-ed and adjectives to describe people and things.

 Step 3: Write the text.


 Step 4: Review the content, grammar, and the spelling of your text. Make sure
your ideas are coherent.
 Step 5: Once you check the text, attach a cover to your writing and upload it to

way two types of stories (in films or in books). State what you like or don´t like
of each one and state the one of your preference.

 Verbs of preference (like/don´t like/love/enjoy/hate/dislike)
 Comparative and superlative adjectives
 Linker “so", and “because”.
