Abstract: The purpose of the research is English literature has long been an important part of the primary
and secondary school curriculum in many countries. With the advent of technology and other factors, it is
not clear what role, if any, this will play in the future. A study was undertaken to investigate the opinions of
educators on the role of English literature in education. The findings support the idea that despite
technological advances, educators feel that English literature is still an important part of the primary and
secondary school curriculum. Literature can indeed be recognized as a tool for learning. However, the
effectiveness of literature in education is not always evident or easily understood. This paper explores how
some of literature's strengths can be used to aid language learners and how its weaknesses can be avoided
in order to produce the most effective results when using literature for teaching English as a second
language (ESL).

I. INTRODUCTION
Now days for students English literature for education is necessary. They have to read Shakespeare and many other
great writers. It helps them to understand the world and to develop emotional intelligence. And of course, it's interesting
to study the works of such great writers. Students have to learn English for the sake of education. I think it is necessary
for students to study English literature, because studying English literature can make students improve their language
skills and develop interest in learning English. For example, listening to songs can make students learn new words and
expressions, reading articles can help them learn more idioms, and watching movies can help them understand the
culture of English-speaking countries. As a result, students will enjoy learning English and improve their language
skills. For students, English literature is one of the most necessary subjects for their future. It can also be a very difficult
subject to master, especially because they will not only have to read the text in class but also do a lot of homework.
With this paper, give you some useful advice on how you can make it through school with English literature.
Today's students need to be well-read and informed in order to compete in the modern workforce. It's no longer enough
to just have a mastery of your native language; you need to be able to interpret and discuss the works of great writers
and understand the context in which they were written. Studying English literature can give you this skill, and it gives
you something else: an appreciation for the arts that can enrich your life far beyond your own career.
Common knowledge dictates that a person's value to society is in direct proportion to their level of education. To
elaborate, the education of an individual plays a vital role in how they see themselves and the world around them.
Education also plays a significant role in the development of an individual's potentials and capabilities. The importance
of education is reflected in many aspects. For example, many countries have laws where children must attend school
until a certain age. This implies that there are consequences to not being educated. In fact, some countries have laws
where there are serious consequences to not attending school regularly or not getting your required educational standard
(e.g., you can be arrested, fined, etc.).
Writing is one of the most complex art form, and a lot of people claim that writing is impossible to teach. However,
many noted teachers and scholars believe that such statements are far from the truth. This is because they have devoted
their life to study human communication in general and teaching methodology in particular. One of their primary goals
is to understand how students learn best, so that they can become better teachers. A great deal of research has been
conducted on the subject, and as a result, we now know more about English as a language than ever before. Some
experts believe that through this area of study, a greater understanding of the human mind and psyche has been gained.
We will take a look at some of the most important findings in this field below, but first let us consider the reasoning
behind these studies in terms of education for English literature.

The English language and its literature have a long history, dating back to the ninth and tenth centuries when the first
written English appeared. As the language developed, so did the number of authors creating works in English. Through
time, literature became an important part of an educated person's education. Just as important as music and art classes
were studies in literature.
Today, literature is still a crucial part of any well-rounded education. From reading classic texts in school to taking
university courses on modern American or British authors, reading and studying great works of literature is imperative
to developing a well-informed citizenry. After all, how can you understand the world around you if you don't
understand the stories that help people understand it? Literature helps us learn more about ourselves and our place in
the world through others' experiences and points of view. It also provides insight into other cultures and historical
periods.
The importance of English literature cannot be denied. The works of the great authors are as relevant today as they were
when they were written. Many of these timeless works have been recognized with prestigious awards, including Nobel
and Pulitzer prizes for literature. The exposure to these great works can help develop a lifelong passion for reading and
writing in our students. When we allow the best thoughts and ideas from the greatest minds of our time to enter our
students minds, we are preparing them for a life that is rich in thought and filled with possibilities for achievement.
The English Literature has a different role in education. It gives a lot of knowledge about the society and about the
literature. It gives a chance for students to improve their writing skills, speaking skills, reading skills, critical thinking
skills and so on. There are many types of English Literature books. But it is used for the improving of English language.
Books like The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien, Harry Potter by JK Rowling and others are used in schools as a part
of their curriculum. Students love to read these books because they have a very nice story line. When you read such
books you forget all your worries and enjoy every moment you spend while reading it. You can learn a lot from these
books because they discuss so many topics and interesting things which you never thought before. The language is easy
to understand, so students can easily read it without any problem. These books make students familiar with different
terms, phrases, idioms and so on. These books help them to improve their vocabulary and introduce them to a new
world where anything is possible.
As a educationist, my day-to-day work involves spending a lot of time with the English language. Have to read and
write endless amounts of essays, stories, poems and plays in order to understand what my students are capable of doing
at different levels. Have to know the grammar rules that they need to know. Most importantly, Have to be able to
convey this knowledge to them during class and make sure they can apply it correctly. The most important thing when
it comes to teaching English is that my students improve their skills in the language.
A great deal of hard work goes into producing high school English literature textbooks. From choosing which works to
include, to writing commentary, to reading and evaluating student submissions for the anthology, it's a job that requires
many hours of reading and editing. In fact, literary work is so time-consuming that there isn't really a way to include
every major author, let alone all the pieces people want to read.
The education system is not just a one way street. The students, who are the receivers, are also the contributors to the
development of it. An increasing number of students are inquisitive and have high expectations for their future. They
have begun to pay attention to their own strengths and weaknesses and those of their classmates in order to get help
from each other. On the other hand, teachers who are running classes tend to be more prepared to meet challenges.
They are more engaged with students, which makes them more responsible for what they do in class and also give more
chances for students to share their thoughts on various topics.
As a result, English Language effect in Literature Education becomes more influential than before. This is helpful for
both teacher and student because it is really hard for foreign teachers to teach students directly in those schools where
students’ level of English is low and the teaching environment is not supportive enough. But when teachers can use
English as a tool to assist students in learning literature, they will find their life much easier and even worthwhile since
they can teach more than others by doing this way. In fact, there are numerous advantages for us when we teach
literature through English Language effect: One is that we can introduce new words into our language without
hesitation.
The English language has been a very important subject in the literary world and especially in the field of education.
There is no doubt that the cost of teaching a foreign language has increased many times over the last few years. Even

so, students have been able to receive a better education under an educational system which is constantly improving.
The main objective of any correspondence program is to provide students with an opportunity to learn about a particular
subject outside the classroom. This can be done by simply providing students with information or by actually giving
them the opportunity to practice what they have learned in the classroom. With this being said, there is no doubt that
learning can take place outside a classroom.
According to the National Council of Teachers of English, "English language arts is a term that refers to the use of
skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening." These skills are commonly taught in schools through the teaching of
literature. Although the content of what students learn varies widely depending on the grade level and the school
district, most schools around the country teach students at least some elements of classic English literature such as
"Beowulf" and "The Canterbury Tales".

II. CONCLUSION
One of the most important aspects of education is being able to read different kinds of literature, especially works that
are culturally significant and relate to the society in which we live. While there is a place for non-fiction in education,
there is something unique about reading fiction. When we read fiction, we are creating a mental image of the characters
and places described. We are brought into an unfamiliar world through words on a page and our minds work to create a
new reality from nothing. When you learn how to read literary fiction, you can use it as a tool for understanding human
nature and how people react in certain situations. Anyone can benefit from learning how to read literary fiction, whether
it’s for your own enjoyment or as part of your job or education.
