WRITING PART 2

It is said that teenagers should have part-time jobs to earn money and gain experience,
while others think that they should relax and enjoy their free time after school. This essay
will discuss both sides and explain my view.
On the one hand, many people believe that working part-time is useful for teenagers.
Working at a young age, they can learn new skills and become more responsible. Besides,
earning money by themselves helps them to become independent from their parents. For
example, my older sister started working in a coffee shop when she was 16, and now she
understands the value of money and time more than before. Gaining more experience,
teenagers may also make better career choices in the future.
On the other hand, some people argue that working while studying is too stressful.
Teenagers already have a lot of homework and tests, so if they also work, they may
become tired and perform badly at school. For instance, my friend has a part-time job
after school and he always feels tired, which makes him lose focus in class. Not having
enough time to relax, his health also gets worse.
In my opinion, I believe that teenagers should focus on studying first. It is important to
get good results in exams, which will help them in their future education and career. After
becoming adults, they will have plenty of chances to work and gain experience.
To sum up, while part-time jobs can give teenagers useful experience, I think they should
pay attention to their studies during school years and not work too early.
