ACTIVITY:
Description Clean and green environment is a basic need today. The environmental
pollution in the form of air, water, and land pollution, has severely affected life.
The air quality is unbreathable, water non-potable and the land contaminated,
leading to many diseases. For earth to survive, the pollution must be tackled and
reversed. A healthy life is possible only if the basic necessity of cleanliness of air
and land is achieved.
In compliance to the government programs and projects as of Executive
Order No. 26, s. 2011 in Creating Task Force on National Greening Program,
through DepEd Order No. 5 schools shall establish vegetable gardens, practice
waste management principles, and support the tree planting activity in schools
and in the community. Clean and green environment imply absence of pollution
and a better quality of life.
Objectives
1. Discusses the key concepts and principles of the school-community clean
and green program, provides guidance on understanding of the program and
discusses why ‘clean and green program’ is prescribed;
2. Coordinates with the clean and green program of Barangay Sta. Clara;
3. Involves in the advocacy and orientation and activities of the municipality;
4. Proper disposal of waste f every kind must be encouraged and if necessary,
rewarded;
5. All material that is non-degradable such as plastic should be removed from
circulation; and
6. People must be educated about the importance of a clean and green
environment. Awareness programs are beneficial in doing so.
Preliminaries Memorandum dissemination
Orientation of teachers headed by the school head, barangay officials and
barangay coordinator headed by barangay captain, residents/parents of the
barangay about the said program
Coordination & dissemination of communication letter to the BLGUs and the
community for the conduct of Clean and Green Program
Preparation of all the necessary things needed (cleaning materials,
refreshments, attendance sheets, etc.).
Design and Proper coordination with the community for the smooth flow of the Clean and
Methodology of the Green Program
Event Signing of attendance
Management and The school head was present to monitor the flow of the said activity.
Monitoring
Logical Arrangement Incurred expenses funded through Barangay Fund.
RESULTS:
Output/s Attendance of the teachers, barangay officials, residents of the barangay was
90% attended
Participants’ Most of the residents of barangay/parents and teachers have responsively done
Feedback their role in the program, while few of them approached the program
coordinators and have expressed the following feedbacks:
Few of the parents can’t manage their time properly in engaging of the
said program (conflicting schedules of the parents)
Keeping the environment clean and green is of utmost priority to sustain
a healthy evolution of life
Issues and The following were issues and challenges raised by the residents of
Challenges barangay/parents and guardians during the conduct of program:
Well-maintained school-community program in enforcing the proper
waste disposal
The barangay should purchase trash receptacles in every block/phase of
the barangay
Interventions Aside from strong and secure relationships of the school and community, it is

opportunities to express or release their negative thoughts and feelings towards

New Planned Continuation of the “Clean and Program” is highly proposed in the coming years
