INTRODUCTION

System Programming can be accessed from either the:

DBC214 Operator’s Console


or a
DBC213 Executive Telephone

Both phones will not ring whilst in programming mode. If you


choose to program from the Operator’s Console, placing the phone
on Nightswitch or Offduty is recommended.

KEY FUNCTIONS

When in programming, keys take on different functions…

HOW TO READ THE MANUAL

Each programming sequence will begin the same way. It is screen


prompted, so refer to the screen for instructions as well as
following the steps in this manual.

Read the steps from left to right so that you can check you are
programming correctly by comparing your screen response with the
column ‘response on screen’.

4 = Internal
5 = Greater Sydney (42, 43, 45, 46, 47) Mobiles/Local

All levels can dial 000


For other variations please advise technician.

extns from the list, please refer to the Supervision of Extns on page 7 to supervise or
delete this Fictive Number from their phone.

For example:

13 supervision To program the flashing (answerable) light of extn numbers, or
fictive numbers used for Offduty and Nightcall answering.

10 namecall To delete a function from a key

15 voice paging To program a Paging Key

26 busy/free on 2 A key to reverse the programming of the Line 2 key (either open or block
it from incoming calls)

35 common hold A Hold key that can be picked up from another extn

45 conversation A key to record an ongoing conversation. The recording appears as a


recording message within your voicemail.

16 ACD answer key The flashing answer key for an ACD group.
29 ACD log on/off The Log On/Off key for an ACD group

Note: if you are re-setting a personal password back to the


default 0000, program the extn to read NO, enter it and then re-
enter it as YES. This re-sets the password back to default,
while also allowing the password to be personalized again.

At the phone you have just programmed to be a YES, you may use the following
procedures:
