SAUD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OPERATIONAL SERVICES CONTINUITY PLAN

This plan outlines procedures for maintaining essential operational services at Saud
Elementary School during disruptions, such as natural disasters, power outages, or other
emergencies. The goal is to minimize disruption to students, staff, and the educational process.

I. Communication Plan:

 Primary Contact: Mrs. Ofelia A. Fernandez, School Principal II, 09171805519

 Secondary Contact: Mrs. Helen P. Espiritu, Teacher III, 09609355946

 Notification System: The school will utilize phone calls, email, text messages, school
website, social media and the like, to communicate with staff, students, and parents. A
tiered notification system will be used, prioritizing critical information first.

 Emergency Contact Information: Up-to-date emergency contact information for all students
and staff will be maintained and readily accessible.

II. Essential Services:

This plan focuses on maintaining the following essential services:

 Student Safety and Security: Procedures for evacuations, lockdowns, and sheltering in place
will be clearly defined and regularly practiced through drills. Designated safe zones will be
identified and mapped.

 Communication: Maintaining communication lines with staff, students, parents, and


emergency services is critical. This includes backup communication systems (Barangay
Officials will be grouped accordingly to go to the houses to disseminate information) in case
of widespread network failures.

 Power: Identify backup power sources (e.g., generator) and procedures for their activation
and monitoring.

 Water: Access to potable water will be ensured through stored water and clean deep well.

 Food: Procedures for providing food to students and staff during prolonged disruptions will
be established. This may involve utilizing existing school supplies or coordinating with
external organizations.

 Technology: Backup systems and data storage procedures will be in place to protect
important data and ensure access to essential technology. This includes regular data
backups and offsite storage.

III. Roles and Responsibilities:

continuity plan.

 Designated Staff: Specific staff members will be assigned responsibilities for each essential
service.

 Custodial Staff: Responsible for maintaining the physical security and cleanliness of the
school building.

 IT Staff: Responsible for maintaining the functionality of technology systems.

IV. Recovery Procedures:

 Damage Assessment: A systematic assessment of damage to the school building and


infrastructure will be conducted after a disruption.

 Repair and Restoration: Prioritize repairs based on urgency and impact on essential services.

 Return to Normal Operations: A phased approach will be used to resume normal


operations, ensuring the safety and well-being of students and staff.

 Regular Drills: Drills will be conducted regularly to practice emergency procedures, including
evacuations, lockdowns, and sheltering in place.

 Staff Training: All staff members will receive training on the continuity plan and their
respective roles and responsibilities.

This plan will be reviewed and updated at least annually or after any significant incident to ensure its
effectiveness and relevance.
