🎯 Goals
- Expand vocabulary range and usage
- Strengthen grammar accuracy
- Improve listening and reading comprehension
- Practice structured speaking and writing
- Prepare for B2 level / exams (e.g. FCE)
Weekly Plan (5 Days/Week)
Day 1 – Vocabulary + Listening + Speaking
- Vocabulary Focus (30 mins): Learn 10–15 new words (topic-based, e.g. travel,
environment). Use them in sentences.
- Listening Practice (30 mins): Watch a short video (e.g. BBC Learning English, TED-Ed).
Take notes.
- Speaking (30 mins): Record yourself summarizing the video using the new vocabulary.
- Optional: Shadow a speaker from the video to improve pronunciation.
Day 2 – Grammar + Reading + Speaking
- Grammar Focus (30 mins): Study a grammar point (e.g. present perfect vs past simple).
- Reading Practice (30 mins): Read an article (BBC, Breaking News English). Highlight
examples of the grammar point.
- Speaking (30 mins): Discuss the article topic. Use the target grammar.
- Optional: Use ChatGPT or a partner to practice speaking prompts.
Day 3 – Writing + Listening
- Writing Task (45 mins): Write an opinion paragraph or short story (150 words). Use
vocabulary from Day 1 and grammar from Day 2.
- Listening Task (30 mins): Listen to a podcast episode or audio exercise. Summarize it in
writing.
- Review (15 mins): Check writing for grammar and vocabulary use. Rewrite any weak
sentences.
Day 4 – Grammar + Vocabulary + Speaking
- Grammar Focus (30 mins): Practice a different structure (e.g. conditionals, reported
speech).
- Vocabulary Expansion (30 mins): Revise words from Day 1, add 5–10 new ones.
- Speaking (30 mins): Role-play or simulate a real-life situation (e.g. job interview,
complaint at a store). Record yourself.
Day 5 – Review + Test + Free Practice
- Weekly Review (30 mins): Go over vocabulary, grammar, and notes.
- Self-Test (30 mins): Do a short test (reading or listening with questions, or grammar quiz).
- Free Practice (30 mins): Watch a movie clip, write a social media post in English, or speak
freely about your week.
