PROCESS
There are two types of process: natural process and manufacturing process.

A. BASIC STRUCTURES
I. Passive Voice | Active Voice and Tense

Manufacturing process Use Passive Form

S + to be (tense) + V
BOTH USE PRESENT TENSE
Natural process Use Active Form

S + V (tense)

Example:
Bricks are packed before being delivered to markets.
II. Basic structures:
a. Introduction
The diagram | process | picture + shows | illustrates | demonstrates + how to + V
Example: The diagram illustrates how to produce bricks for construction.
The diagram | process | picture + shows | illustrates | demonstrates + the production |
the manufacture + of + N
Example: The diagram illustrates the production of bricks for construction.
b. Overview
The process of making + N + requires + (number of steps) steps | stages + in total. It
starts | begins with + N, and ends | culminates with + N
Example: The process of making bricks requires seven steps in total. It starts with digging
clay and ends with delivering products to customers.
B. VOCABULARY
