VI. ACTIVITY: "Let’s Do It!"
Let’s work on solving a real-world problem using what you’ve learned! Below is an example to guide you. Then,
you'll try it yourself.
Before practicing safe online habits, it’s important to understand what they are and why they matter. Start by
watching a short video or reading an article that explains common online threats—such as phishing (fake emails
that trick you into giving away personal info), hacking, or identity theft—and how to protect yourself from them.
These resources often share simple but powerful tips like creating strong passwords, not oversharing personal
information, and recognizing suspicious links or messages.
Example:
You might watch a YouTube video titled “Top 5 Internet Safety Tips for Students.” In the video, one tip is to
never click on links in an email from someone you don’t know—even if the email looks official. The speaker
explains how scammers create fake messages that look like they’re from banks or schools to steal your
information. After watching, you now know to double-check email addresses and think before clicking.
Taking the time to learn from these materials will give you the knowledge you need to make smart and safe
decisions when using the internet.
VII. Now, It’s Your Turn!
Using bond paper, create a simple infographic that gives 5 useful tips for being safe and smart online.
Your infographic should include:
A main title (e.g., “Stay Safe Online!”, “Tech Tips for Teens”)
5 short tips about online safety (e.g., “Don’t share personal info,” “Use strong passwords,” etc.)
Symbols or icons beside each tip (e.g., lock, eye, mobile phone, shield)
A layout that’s organized and easy to read
Use only pen. Colored pens are allowed.
Make sure your handwriting is legible and your design is neat.
Write your name, section, and date at the back.
VIII. Process Questions
Answer these briefly in your own words (2 -3 questions):
1. How did you choose which online safety tips to include in your infographic, and why do you think they are
the most important?
- . I learned that protecting personal information online means being careful about what I share and
understanding how privacy settings work. Simple actions like using strong passwords and thinking twice before clicking
links can make a big difference.
2. What visual elements (colors, icons, layout) did you use to make your infographic clear and engaging, and
how do they support your message?
- "Treat others the way you want to be treated." It reminded me that even online, kindness and respect matter.
Behind every comment or post is a real person who deserves to be treated with decency. ________
3. How can creating and sharing this infographic help others become more aware of safe online habits?
- I can apply this by being more mindful about what I share, who l interact with, and how I respond to others.
Whether I'm posting on social media or chatting in an online game, I want to create a safer and more positive space.
IX. Closure: What I Learned
Write a short reflection (2–3 sentences):
What did you learn about staying safe and smart online? What tip surprised or interested you the most, and
why? How can you apply what you’ve learned to your own online activities or daily internet use?
-Learning about online safety and netiquette changed the way I see the internet-not just as a tool, but as a shared space
where my actions affect others. Practicing good netiquette helps build trust, respect, and healthy communication. l'II be
more careful with my posts and make sure they reflect who I truly want to be online.
