Mixed Tense Exercise – Text (30 Verbs)

Every day, I __________ (wake) up at 7 a.m. and __________ (make) a cup of coffee. While I
__________ (drink) it this morning, my phone __________ (ring). It __________ (be) my friend Sarah,
who __________ (call) to tell me some exciting news. She __________ (get) a new job last week
and __________ (start) working yesterday. I __________ (listen) carefully while she __________
(explain) everything.

As we __________ (talk), I __________ (hear) a strange noise from the kitchen. I quickly __________
(go) there and __________ (see) that the dog __________ (chew) one of my shoes. Normally, he
__________ (be) very calm, but today he __________ (act) a little wild.

After I __________ (deal) with the dog, I __________ (return) to my room. My brother __________
(play) video games again, even though he usually __________ (study) in the morning. I
