1. Assertive Sentences
Definition: These are statements that give information or express an idea.
Examples:
- Positive: She is singing a song.
- Negative: She is not singing a song.
2. Imperative Sentences
Definition: These express commands, requests, advice, or suggestions.
Examples:
- Close the door. (Command)
- Please help me. (Request)
- Be careful while driving. (Advice)
3. Exclamatory Sentences
Definition: These express strong feelings or emotions.
Examples:
- What a beautiful place this is!
- How clever she is!
- I can't believe this!
4. Interrogative Sentences
Definition: These are questions.
Examples:
- Are you coming with us?
- What is your name?
