GRAMMAR
Noun: A noun is a word that is used to name a person, place, animal, or an object.
       All naming words are called nouns.
       Ramu is a boy.
            The dog is eating a bone.
Common nouns: Words which represent common names of persons, places, animals, or things.
               are called common nouns. They do not begin with a capital letter.
                tree, bus, girl, river, city
Proper nouns: Words which represent special names of persons, places, animals or things are called
               Proper nouns. They always begin with a capital letter.
               Eg: Mohan, Delhi, Narmada, January, Monday, etc.
Singular and Plurals: Nouns which name a single thing are called singular nouns. Nouns which
                       Many things together are called plural nouns. Most nouns form
                       their plural by adding 's'.

                          boys
 The nouns that end with the letters sh, ch, x, s, o form their plurals by adding 'es'.
      tomatoes
 Nouns that end with 'f' or 'fe' form their plurals by dropping 'f' or 'fe' and adding 'ves'.

 Nouns that end in 'y' typically form their plurals by dropping the 'y' and adding 'ies'.
      babies
 Some nouns change the vowels to make their plurals.
      men
Verb: A verb is a word that expresses action performed by the subject. All action words are verbs.
       Eg : eat, write, jump, draw, drink, etc.
Action words are used with 'ing' when we are showing an ongoing action.
       eating, jumping, drawing, drinking, eating, etc.
Some verbs need to double the last letter to complete their 'ing' form.
       running
In some verbs ending with 'e', we drop the 'e' and add 'ing'.
       Eg : give – giving, live – living, come – coming, shine – shining, etc.
Articles: The words a, an, the are called the articles.
        'a' is used with the nouns beginning with a consonant sound.
           I want a cup of tea.
                Sita is a dancer.
          'an' is used with nouns beginning with a vowel sound.
          He ate an apple.
                An old woman was sitting under the tree.
          'the' is used to point out a particular person or thing.
           The market was full of fruits.
                  The Gita is a holy book of Hindus.
Tenses: The tense of a verb tells you about the time of action.
Present tense: What is happening now is called Present tense. It is of two types.

       Simple present: It shows the regular action.
              Eg: runs, jumps, writes, etc.
              Seema swims very well.
              A baby eats slowly.
       Present continuous: It shows that an action is in progress.
              running, jumping, writing, etc.
              The boy is running.
              The man is walking on the footpath.
Pronouns: The words that are used in place of nouns. Eg: He, she, they, we, you, I, it.
                     'He' and 'him' are used when we talk about males.
                     'She' and 'her' are used when we talk about females.
                     'It' is used when we talk about things, animals, or birds.
                     'We' is used when speaking about more than one person.
                     'They' and 'them' are used to talk about more than one person and thing.
                     'You' is used when we talk to one or more persons.
                     'I' is used for oneself.
       The use of 'has' and 'have'.
              We use 'has' with singular nouns.
              Roma has a new dress.
              We use 'have' with words that mean more than one or with 'I' and 'you'.
              The boys have many books.
              I have a new bag.
               Do you have my book?
Punctuation: Punctuation means the correct use of stops in a sentence. Some punctuation marks
we know are :
                 1. A full stop ( . ) : It is used at the end of a sentence.
                         My name is Ramu.
                 2. A question mark ( ? ) : It is used to mark direct questions.
                         Where are you going?
                 3. Capital Letters: A sentence always begins with a capital letter. We also use capital
                    letters when we write the special names of people and places, to represent days,
                    months, languages and when we talk about ourselves.
                         We will go at 5 o'clock today.
