Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer (Full stack PHP), a Full Stack PHP Developer, to join
our dynamic engineering team, responsible for both front-end and back-end development, ensuring
seamless integration between the two. The websites are critical revenue generators, primarily through
advertising, making SEO optimization and Core Web Vitals performance paramount. The ideal candidate
is a highly skilled core PHP developer with strong UI and UX concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and best practices
in software engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Website Development & Maintenance:
o Develop user interface using HTML, CSS, JavaScript
o Ensure websites and applications are responsive and work seamlessly across different
screen sizes and devices with cross-browser compatibility.
o Optimize websites for SEO and Core Web Vitals to ensure optimal user experience and
ad revenue generation.
Collaboration & Communication:
o Work closely with product owners, project managers, designers, manual QA, and
automated QA teams to deliver high-quality features on time.
o Participate in regular team meetings, providing technical insights and contributing to
project planning.
Best Practices & Standards:
o Uphold the highest standards of code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and
adherence to industry best practices.
Tools & Technologies:
o Utilize tools like Jira, Confluence, CodeCeption, Postman, and GitLab for project
management, documentation, testing, and code deployment.
o Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly those related
to PHP.
Problem Solving & Innovation:
o Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely and effective manner.
o Drive continuous improvement in development processes, including automation of
testing and deployment.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent
practical experience.
o 5 to 6 years of experience in PHP development, with a strong focus on WordPress.
o Proven experience working on high-traffic websites, with a deep understanding of web
performance optimization, SEO, and Core Web Vitals.
Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Core PHP, WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
o Strong UI and UX concepts
o Proficiency in CSS, SASS, LESS
o Proficiency in Javascript
o Good to have Typescript, ReactJS/Angular
o Experience with Git, GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
Soft Skills:
o Work at least 4 hours overlap with US, i.e. until ~9pm IST
o Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
o Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate
effectively with cross-functional teams.
o A commitment to teamwork, with a focus on collaboration, knowledge sharing, and
mentoring junior engineers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with automated testing frameworks like CodeCeption.
Familiarity with Postman for API testing.
Understanding of the ad-tech ecosystem and experience optimizing websites for ad revenue.
