HOW TO WRITE A SUMMARY

POINT 1
You have to look for key points
based on the topic you’re doing.
Make sure not to explain, and go
straight to the next point.
POINT 2
Do not use complex sentences and
pay attention to transitional words.
POINT 3
Don’t forget to paraphrase as
much as you can, unless they are
general words such as nouns and
pronouns.
POINT 4
Write in full sentences and reorder
the ideas as needed.
POINT 5
You don’t need to maintain the same
chronological order that the author
placed the points in the text. Just
make sure to organize them
properly.
POINT 6
Try to make your summary as
short and concise as possible.
Avoid repeating points or making
it too long.
