LEARNING OBJECTIVE By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1. Find out about personal information asking basic questions
2. Understand an increased range of short supported questions
ACTIVITIES PRE-LESSON 1. Teacher shows each flashcards quickly to the class. They
write the word.
2. Students compare answers, including spelling, in pairs.
3. Teacher checks with the class.
LESSON DELIVERY Activity 1(SB page 83)
1. Teacher presents Do you like..? by showing clothes
flashcards and asking questions, e.g. DO you like these
socks?
2. Teacher gives students time to look at the two pictures in
the SB and read the sentences.
3. Teacher plays the recording. Students match the questions
and answers with the pictures.
4. They compare answers in pairs.
5. Teacher plays the recording again. Teacher checks with
the class.
6. Teacher says each question and answer for students to
repeat.
Activity 2(SB page 83)
1. Teacher plays the first question and answer. Students
repeat.
2. Teacher plays the second question and answer. Students
repeat.
3. Teacher checks understanding of the grammar.
4. Students practise in pairs.
Activity 3 (SB page 83)
1. Teacher demonstrates the activity for the class and then
gives practice in open pairs, e.g. Student A: Do you like
these trousers? Student B: No, I don’t.
2. Students take turns to ask and answer about the pictures.
POST LESSON 1. Teacher writes tow questions from the lesson on the
board, each in jumbled word order, for students to
unjumble. Teacher elicits the answer.
