Opinions are divided on whether libraries with print books are still necessary

for today’s society or whether it has been replaced by online resources.

Personally, I think that in the present time with development in technology,
benefits of online resources outweigh the benefits of traditional libraries.

Admittedly, it is known that the advantages of traditional libraries are still

essential in several ways. It creates a peaceful place for learners thereby
concentrating more on their lesson. Moreover, some people would like to use
print books rather than electronic books because using electronic books
causes them to be distracted by social media which reduces their
productivity in work. And the key thing is, if you don’t live in deleloping
countries, which means you rarely have access to Internet ,print books is the
best choice for you.

However, with considerable increase in technology, the government of many

countries encourage people to use digital resources. Learners only have
smartphone or computer to search for millions of documents. Futhermore,
they can access to online resources whenever they need without restriction
which is one of the drawbacks of libraries. A case in point is Google, the best
app instead of libraries. The documents in digital resources are always
updated, various and convenient. In terms of environment, using online
resources can reduce cutting down trees and it is also environmentally
friendly.

In conclusion, of course I understand that libraries indeed have some

benefits;however, online resources provide far more advantages to learners
and society as a whole. Therefore, online resources are better than libraries
with print books.
