Rules and regulations for Debate Competition


1. Each participant has to prepare both the motions ( ie. For the motion and against the motion) of all topics.

2. on the day of the competition, the participant has to pick a slip through the lottery system and accordingly
he or she has to deliver his or her topic on the decided motion and topic.

3. First of all, The participant has to present their topic and thereafter there may be cross questions to their
concerned opponent in the last three rounds but there will not be cross questioning in the first round.

4. Two students have to present their views on the same topic (one for the motion and second against the
motion).

5. Each student has to speak English.

6. No reading material will be allowed during debate.

7. There will be four rounds in this competition and there will be different topics in each round.

8. This competition will be organized in the following format:- first there will be league competition, second
quarter final competition, third semi final competition and fourth there will be final competition.

9. The decision of jury members will be final no school can claim on it.
