1. In a mixture of 55 liters, fruit juice and water are in the ratio of 4:1. how much water (in liters) must
be added to make the Mixture in the ratio 2:1 ?
2. A mixture contains alcohol and water in the ratio of 12:5. On adding 14 liters of water, the ratio of
alcohol to water becomes 4:3. The quantity of alcohol in the mixture is?
3. There is a three Values of X, Y and Z are such that X+Y=12, Y+Z=17 and Z+X=19, what is the
average of X, Y and Z?
4. A Family spends 4600, 5600, 4800, 3800 and 6000 an groceries in the first 5 months of the year.
How much should the family spend in the sixth month to bring the family’s average expenditure an
groceries for 6 months to 4500?
5. Two cars run to a place at the speed of 45 km/h and 55 km/h, respectively if the second car takes
time 40 minutes less than the first car for the Journey, then what is the length of the Journey (in km)?
6. The time taken by a 180 meter long train running at a speed of 54 km/hr to cross a woman standing
on the platform is?
7. Sumit and Rajiv, working together, can do a job in 20 hours whereas Sumit alone can do the same
