I have designed two different daily rhythms for you to choose from. It's important to put the heavier subjects
(such as language and math) in a time when your child is alert and willing to engage in this learning. For some
children, this can be in the morning when they are rested and for some children it may be in the afternoon after
the child has released energy with outdoor play.
You do not have to do all the subjects listed in these daily rhythms everyday. You may only do one subject
listed in the morning and then rotate another subject in the next morning. I like to record what we learned for
the day at the end of the day. Our daily learning rhythm morphs and flows and that is fine. I hope this is a
starting point for you as you discover your own family's daily rhythm.

Mondays are for introducing the MAIN TOPIC of the UNIT STUDY for that week. Read the recommended
books and use the printables. Especially use the 3-part cards (evergreen lesson) to introduce new
vocabulary.
Tuesdays are for LIFE SKILLS learning. This just means we concentrate on learning something new for the
first time for life skills on Tuesdays. Then these works can be left on the shelf to be enjoyed by the child any
time of the week.
Wednesdays are for hands-on PROJECTS.
Thursdays are for hands-on SENSES (using the 5 senses) learning, that incorporate the artist of the month,
art picture study (evergreen lesson), Art Journal, coloring work, hands-on science experiments, the composer
for the month (found within the Art Journal), and more!
Fridays are for NATURE learning and are reserved as a CATCH UP day if needed. There is a Nature
Journal with activity prompts to do throughout the week if you want more outside time.
All of the above learning materials (hands-on printables, DIY materials, & Montessori materials) can be placed
on the shelf for use throughout the week. The suggested days are for introducing the topic for the first time and
giving a special lesson on the topic. Language and Math can be incorporated throughout the week.
*PLEASE NOTE: The monthly plan and the weekly plans are NOT the same.
The two weekly plans are organized differently than the one monthly plan. The first weekly plan is organized
into a list format for which printables you will use on each day of the week. The second weekly graphed
format puts the subjects for study into a box under each day of the week.
AND...
SENSES incorporates the Art Journal and Picture Art Study into learning throughout the entire week.
The Nature Journal can also be used throughout the week.
*PLEASE NOTE: There is also a BLANK weekly plan for you to fill in your own plans using the LHL hands-
on printables, lessons, and DIY projects.

based on the position of the small hand. Have them use clothespin to clip
the correct answer on the card.
If the child chooses the incorrect answer, have them review the position of
the smaller hand and correspond it with their paper plate clock. It is
understandable that many children may not be able to read roman
numerals, that is why the interactive clock is provided with traditional
numbers.

CIRCLE TIME
WHAT IS A CIRCLE TIME?
In the Montessori classroom, the day begins with morning circle time.
Everybody gets together and sits around in the circle. It is a perfect time
to discuss how everyone feels, what they did yesterday, talk about
calendar, time, weather and introduce any new materials that will be
used.
In the home settings, the circle time can be used the traditional way, but
you can also adapt it to suit your needs. You do not have to sit on the SUBJECTS COVERED
floor, you can sit at a desk, table. Conversation & exercise
OBJECTIVE
A FEW IDEAS TO INCLUDE IN THE CIRCLE TIME To learn together

ask and talk about how your child feels today red tape
