Computer Science
Computer scientists create new technology. They solve complex business, science and computing
problems by utilising new technology or using existing technology in a different manner. Computer
scientists also conduct research in a wide range of topics including architecture, and robotics. Finding
new methods of transmitting and processing information is also a part of computer science, as is making
computers better, faster, and stronger. Eventually we may have video games which seem real to the
player, all because of Computer Science. Also because of computer science is robotics. We have planes
with autopilot, along with automated assembly lines which need next to no human interference.
In order to become a computer scientist, one usually requires a four year bachelor degree in computer
science, information science or computer engineering. High end positions usually require a M.S. or a
Ph.D.
Wages for computer scientists are close to $97000 on average.
