Merion Veenom Soccer Tribe Analysis
Tribe, described by the dictionary as, Any aggregate of people united by ties of descent from a
common ancestor, community of customs and traditions , can cause many people to often tumble
into disagreement with one another over the meaning of this word. Arguments have lead people to
believe that the word triberefers to a group of people that are primitive and savage, but
Archeologists have cleaned up the meaning. Archaeologists define the word tribe as, A political
group that comprises several bands or lineage groups, each with similar language and lifestyle and
each occupying a distinct territory (Keim, pg. 114). The word tribe not only applies to the Native
Americans as one would think. Tribe can be a label applied to any specific... Show more content on

Each player in the team may have separate backgrounds, but when united they all believe in a few
things. The team itself believes that they always need to be focused and always need to show up
with intensity whether they have a practice or a game. The Venom, were a newly created soccer
team in 2014 by coach Steve Baron. They understand their world as a place to get better, and a
place to compete. Every single kid on the team understands the other teams as enemies that they
need to concor. Each child has a different life story about how they became the person they were.
For example, some kids were born in Bryn Mawr, Philadelphia, and some kids were born in
Trinidad and Tobago. The kids come from many different backgrounds, but all unite because they
understand the world the same. Alike the Native Americans and African tribes, the Venom perform
the same rituals before each game and practice. They eat the same foods, always healthy, and they
get themselves loose in the same way each time. They always eat healthy foods like salads, fruits,
and vegetables but they never eat something that could weight them down like junk food. Before
each game, the team performs the same warm up, they jog, they spring, they do high knees, etc.
These rituals before a game never change, similar to how the Native Americans rituals never change.
Because many of the members come from different backgrounds, there is a stern difference between
how they differentiate themselves. Many kids show up to practices in clothes that they wear on a
daily basis, so for some people, that s different. Kids show up in jackets, shorts, gloves, hats, jerseys,
anything under the sun. The catch is that they are always unique, the outfits are never similar to the
others. Although we all share the same interests, we all differentiate from another because of our
styles of life. In 2014, the team was created,
Environmental and Genetic Factors that Causes Celiac Disease
Celiac Disease (CD) is a digestive disease triggered and continued by the ingestion of gluten in the
diet. Individuals with celiac disease have an irreversible intolerance to gluten. Celiac disease is also
known as celiac sprue, nontropical sprue, and gluten sensitive enteropathy. CD is considered an
autoimmune disease. It is activated by eating glutencontaining foods. People who are genetically
susceptible can experience varying degrees of lesions in the small bowel mucosa. The lesions can
range from mild intraepithelial lymphocytosis to severe mononuclear infiltration which can result in
total villous atrophy . (García Manzanares,).
People at high risk for developing CD have the human leukocyte antigens (HLA) HLA DQ2 or
HLA DQ8 ( Pietzak). That genetic background combined with exposure to a group of proteins
called prolamins can activate CD. The prolamins are gliadin in wheat, secalins in rye, and hordeins
in barley. Gluten in wheat is broken down to the peptide gliadin which causes the reaction. These
dietary gliadins trigger the immune system which causes the typical CD response. (Harris)
Celiac disease is one of the most common genetic diseases and it results from both environmental
and genetic factors. CD effects approximately 0.5% 1% of the population in different parts of the
world. People with diabetes, Down syndrome, Williams syndrome, Turner syndrome, cystic fibrosis
and autoimmune disorders have a higher risk for development of CD. Individuals related to

Jane Eyre, The Bluest Eye, and Feminism Feminism. It s a big concept in society today, but has it
always been that way? Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte is a famous work on the basis of her own
experiences. In this novel, the author shapes a tough and independent woman who pursues true
love and equality. In the Victorian period, the image of Jane Eyre cast a sharp contrast to the man
dominated society. She stands for a new lady who has the courage to fight for her own rights and
love. The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison is also a popular work that discusses the hardships of black
feminism. During Pecola s time in the story, she is faced with many obstacles that endanger her
womanhood, and the point of her femininity is put into place. Pecola s hardships in her life are
faced through her race, and this is a contrast to the white male dominated society. Let s begin with
what feminism really is. Feminist theory, according to my first literary criticism, by Haiyan Gao, is
to achieve gender equality in all of humanity. All feminist theory has a basic premise, which is,
women worldwide are under an oppression, discrimination, and hierarchy state. In such a social
structure prevalent among women in the political, economic, cultural, ideological, knowledge, ideas,
ethics and other fields are in an unequal position with men, even in a private sphere of family,
women are also in a position of inequality with men. Feminism
Impact Of Globalization On The World
Globalization is the process by which everyday life, marked by the diffusion of commodities and
ideas, is becoming standardized around the world. Presently, the world is considered more globalized
than it has ever been. The world today has embarked on strong world relations through trade,
exchanging both knowledge and goods. According to the World Trade Organization there are ten
benefits of trading systems; the first entails the idea that people are usually reluctant to fight their
customers. This is the foundation our world is constructed on. Globalizations effects in the world
presently has allowed for a reduction in armed conflicts and warfare.
Though armed conflicts have been reduced through the effects of globalization, they ... Show more

The near doubling in the number of democracies since 1990 has been equally important, because
established democratic states, for a variety of reasons, rarely fight each other militarily. These
statistics exemplify how our world is substituting wars with other forms of solution making methods
through the effects of globalization.
The development and simplicity of world trade has significantly increased over the past decades,
predominantly after World War II. Prior to World War II, globalization was emerging, however, world
orders were unsure of how to administer and resolve issues established through the new process of
globalization. This circumstance led to many injustices and wars as countries battled for dominance
without any proper supervision. Following the end of the war in 1945, the world orders found it
essential to restructure the exchange policies and economic expansions after the destruction imposed
by the war. One revolutionary system blossomed, the Bretton Woods Agreement. This agreement
allowed a standardized system for monetary and exchange rate management, which ultimately
fostered for the formation of the International Monetary Fund and the International Bank for
Reconstruction and Development. Currencies were connected to gold and the International
Monetary Fund was given the authority to intercede when a discrepancy of payments arose. This
was a monumental time in history, where the new globalized world found it

The Effectiveness Of Brand Placement
Purpose
This article investigates the effectiveness of brand placement in movies. Brand placement is an
advertising technique used by companies to promote their products through a non traditional
advertising technique, usually through appearances in film, television, or other media (Product
Placement, n.d.). Previous studies have shown that not all brand placements are equally effective.
Early studies have shown mixed results regarding the consumer s ability to remember the brand
appearing in the film or television. Additionally, placement has shown weak or non existent results
towards brand attitude. The authors of this study investigated the interaction of prominence (how
prominently the brand is represented in the movie) and plot connection (how well the placement is
related to the movie s story line) on actual moviegoer s recognition of brands and their attitude
towards them (Dens, DePelsmacker, Wouters, Purnawirawan, 2012).
Methodology
The authors indicated that their research was one of the first to study the impact of brand placement
characteristics on brand attitude, and the effect of brand recognition in this process. They conducted
a thorough literature review and developed eight hypotheses regarding the following: the effects of
prominence on brand recognition and attitude, the impact of plot connection on brand recognition
and attitude, the interaction between prominence and plot connection, and the mediating role of
brand recognition in brand attitude
Franklin D. Roosevelt s Song Analysis
Tonight, I come for the second time to tell you about what we have been doing and what we are
planning to do (Roosevelt 1). This was said by Franklin D. Roosevelt, during his second fireside
chat to inform his constituents on his approach to the recover after the collapse. The collapse in the
economy was one of the worst times in American history, and this occurred directly after arguable
one of the highest points in American history. The Roaring Twenties, this change occurred in less
than a year. The collapse happened because people didn t understand the banking system. Everyone

Ten million dollars was appropriated exclusively for tribes, and this may sound like a good thing.
Especially since, seventy five percent of the tribal corporations are now functioning (Stevens 7).
However, many native americans problems were unaffected, and remained(Stevens 7). This was
among the biggest mistakes of the New Deal. Ten million dollars was wasted in a failed attempt
to help, with little change to actually solve their problems. While this was a valiant effort to help,
it can t be forgotten that ten million dollars was wasted. That was ten million dollars that could
have actually helped someone. There were so many other ways to go with that ten million dollars
and they went the wrong way. Then, there was the farmer relief bill, and that if anything made
things worse for the country, as a whole. The Agricultural Adjustment Administration paid farmers
not to raise certain crops and animals. This was later declared unconstitutional too because of the
economic power it gave to farmers. This program of FDR s was also causing people to starve(). This
program was an extremely misguided effort because as shown, if it did anything it made life for
ordinary people even harder that it already was, or had to
Rhinovirus Research Paper
The Rhinovirus is more well known as the common cold. The Rhinoviruses symptoms are not severe
and only last short periods of time, but they are quite easy to catch. The Rhinovirus affects the
respiratory system, (Ann 2). The structure of the Rhinovirus allows it to sneak around its host and
reproduce. The Rhinovirus is a very unique and special virus.
The Rhinovirus affects the upper respiratory system. The respiratory system is responsible for taking
oxygen from the lungs and carrying it to other parts of the body where it is needed (Healthy
Children 22 ). The Respiratory system is accountable for taking in oxygen and releasing carbon
dioxide. Red blood cells collect the air as we breathe and take it to other parts of the body where ...

The Rhinovirus is built with lots of different proteins that form a capsid protein, (Mode 23, 45).
The Capsid protein works like a shell and protects the RNA inside the virus. The Rhinovirus is also
built with Glycoproteins, these are used like a costume and are able to confuse the cell membrane
into thinking it s a helpful protien and to let it into its host. Soon after, the virus is able to enter the
cytoplasm (through the endoplasmic reticulum). Then the virus s RNA looks enough like MRNA
for the ribosomes to make it into a polyprotein causing the virus to be reproduced. Finally, the virus
is able to move throughout the host, and release its symptoms undetected. (Ann 11) Once the
Rhinovirus has started reproducing, then the symptoms will start to appear. The symptoms usually
start to appear 1 3 days after the host has been infected. Two of the Rhinoviruses main symptoms are
headaches and congestion. The symptoms that will follow are a sore throat, a cough, sneezing,
muscle ache, and a loss of appetite. The symptoms usually occur in the fall and the summer and
normally last 1 7 day. The length of the symptoms depends on the tissue that has been infected.
