The Chicago School Of Professional Psychology Essay
Final Research Proposal
Luis A. Santiago Gaetan
The Chicago School of Professional Psychology
Introduction to the Study
For several decades, literature has suggested that multinational corporations (MCNs), transnational
corporations (TNCs), and or international business companies (IBCs), are among the most powerful
and wealthiest organizations in the history of the world (Tirimba Macharia, 2014; Bouquet
Birkinshaw, 2008; Fuchs, 2007; Cohen, 2007; Stopford, 1998; Meleka, 1985; Hawkins, 1979).
These business organizations conduct operations in many countries around the world, employing
millions, and directly or indirectly impacting the lives, cultures, economies, and many times the
environments of many millions more. Social justice theory of ethics suggests that who is benefited
is as important as how many are benefited (IIT, 2016). In the article The Need for Ethical Leadership
, Butcher (1997) stated that things that affect free enterprise affect the whole society (p. 86).
Additionally, Aleksic (2013) wrote the article How Organizations Achieve Longevity and suggested
that change management can be considered as an important determinant of organizational longevity
(p. 65).
Moreover, Khan (2014) stated in the article The Longevity of Large Enterprises: A Study of the
Factors that Sustain Enterprises over an Extended Period of Time, that the findings indicate that
many factors are indeed linked to organizational longevity, although five main factors are an
Wife of Bath vs. the Pardoners
Charlotte Stern Period 6 March 30,2012 Wife of Bath vs. The Pardoners Geoffery Chaucer s The
Canterbury Tales is an example of an extremely complicated and wondrous piece of fictional
work. The main story line s plot is a contest between a diverse group of pilgrims on their way to
Thomas Becket s shrine. in order to win the contest the pilgrim must tell tales of best sentence and
moost solaas, , which means the stories must be filled with moral and entertainment to win the
feast. Even though no winner was actually announced, I believe it would have been a toss up
between the Pardoner s Tale and the Wife of Bath s . If it were just looking at morality, The Wife
of Bath s tale would be a sure win. There is no way... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Pardoner has many other examples of irony just waiting to show up to the readers. The
Pardoner s next example of irony is situational irony. The reader is originally told a story about
three men searching for a man named death. Readers seem to forget all about the part of the story
when these young men find the gold. At this point the story took a sure twist up until all of the
young men are dead. When this happens Chaucer goes back Thus these two murderers received
their due,/So did the the treacherous young poisoner too (294 5). The due in this case is death.
When this occurs the reader will most likely remember that death was what these young men
were searching from the beginning for, the reader would assume that the quest to find this
assassin would be a wild goose chase, the young men did indeed find what they where looking for.
The Pardoner has one more form of irony in store for his listeners. The final example of irony
from the Pardoner is dramatic irony. To let his audience know that these three young men are
doomed to death before they have the slightest idea Chaucer uses foreshadowing. The best
example of foreshadowing is the old man that they meet on the road to find Death. The old man
give several clues to his identity such as One who would change his youth to have my age/And so
my age is mine and must be still (121 2). The reader easily mistakes the old man as looking for an
exchange of youth and old age when in
Mcdonald s A Fast Food Chain
McDonald s Corporation is a multinational fast food chain, established on 15 May, 1940 in San
Bernardino, California, U.S.A. McDonald s is well known for their production of burgers in the
fast food industry and are substantial players of delivering quick, reliable and convenient service to
consumers. Since then, McDonald s has been very successful in expanding its Golden Arch logo
and methodology worldwide. Furthermore, McDonald s is a dominant figure in the development of
globalisation and has made an impact on food culture globally. McDonald s menu expanded from
cheeseburgers, French fries to include coffee, fruits, salads and wraps in response to target other
consumers other than children and teenagers. They have been hugely successful for their spread of
franchisees across the world. In addition, McDonald s also aims to be sustainable economically,
environmentally and socially across the world. It intends to achieve these three aims by
implementing changes to its work ethics, suppliers and shareholders. However, in every success
there are always criticisms. McDonald s is often criticised for the food and its business practices, all
of these factored into the health and wellbeing of every customer domestically and internationally.
As there are researches and case studies out there focusing on the meat quality of McDonald s
burgers et cetera, very few talked about the other items that are included in McDonald s menu such
as coffee. Coffee remains to be a beneficial
Boy In The Striped Pajamas Changes
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
In the novel, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, the author uses the plot to change the main character,
Bruno. At the start of the novel, Bruno is a 9 year old boy currently living in Berlin, Germany. Many
events take place throughout the novel showing us a different Bruno each time an event happens
making him mad, happy and confused. The three major events that lead to the changes we see in him
are: leaving Berlin, meeting Shmuel, and going under the fence to help Shmuel find his papa.
In the beginning, Bruno arrives home one day to find the maid, Maria, in his room packing all his
belongings. Mother, what s going on? Are we moving? Bruno asks. Bruno s mother informs him
that they have to move because father has a very important job to do which requires them to move
to Out With. They arrive at their new home and Bruno is very disappointed; he hates it. Leaving a
happy home in Berlin with five floors, friends and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One day Bruno decides he wants to go explore, as that was what always made him happy in Berlin.
He begins his journey along the fence which he was told on countless occasions to stay away from
by both his Mother and Father. While walking along the fence, Bruno meets a young boy named
Shmuel who is on the other side of the fence. The two of them immediately become best friends,
sharing the same birthday and talking about what has brought them both to Poland. Perhaps I could
come meet your friends , Bruno says to Shmuel hoping they could all play on the other side of the
fence together. The new found friendship has helped transition Bruno into being happy about living
in Out With . Consequently, if Bruno hadn t decided to go out exploring that day he would ve never
met his new friend and he would be sitting alone in his room very unhappy and
Examples Of Learned Helplessness
Since childhood Sandra had experienced numerous difficulties in her life, began by her father
who was continuously abusing her in different ways, his actions had developed a sense of
helplessness inside of her that stayed with her for many years to follow at the age of 22 Sandra
got married to her husband who at first seemed to be a man of well manners, but it was proven
later on that he was completely the opposite of her expectations, besides he had also created an
abusive unhealthy environment for her which has further increased her level of helplessness.
Learned helplessness is defined as the inability to take control over one s life due to a previous lack
of control in important life outcomes (manyu li ,vaishali mardhekar, alka wadkar may 1 2012 ) The
Learned helplessness phenomenon is proposed as a model for the emotional numbing and
maladaptive passivity sometimes following victimization . Victims suffering in certain situation
assume that there is no freedom from their situation of being victimized... Show more content on

A person should have enough will power to quite an activity or walk away from a situation which
puts them under stress or gives them depression. A state of mind which stops them from rescuing
themselves is known as learned helplessness . It could make a person have a perspective that they
no control or power to change their current stressful situation to a better situation (bronwyn harris 9
oct 2014) Some people use the mechanism of learned helplessness to deal with painful situations.
For example a child who is been abused by their guardian and a partner who is been abused by their
other half will adapt the behavior of being submissive and accommodating to their abuser s
behaviour ,as they feel that they cannot fight with the situation and escaping from it is
impossible.(bronwyn harris 9 oct

Tale Of Two Cities Resurrection
Tale of Two Cities Theme: Resurrection By Nathan Katolick In the novel: A Tale of Two Cities,
Charles Dickens uses many themes, including, revenge, resurrection, redemption, etc. These are
very important themes and are important to the novel. Resurrection was the greatest theme
besides redemption. To me resurrection seemed more personal and integral to the story. It also
held more of the story s emotion from love to sadness. Resurrection also has a deeper meaning,
being symbolic of Christ s death on the cross and him rising from the tomb three days later. The
phrase recalled to life is the first bit of the theme of resurrection with Dr. Manette s sentence
being over and him being discharged from the bastille 18 years later. The hidden papers in Dr.
Manette s cell lead straight to the books climax, Charles Darnay s sentence to be executed at the
guillotine. Mr. Cruncher s grave robbing shows the theme of resurrection when he literally raises
people from their graves. A huge surprise is based on Cruncher s failed attempt to dig up Roger Cly.
After all he was the spy who testified with John Barsad to try to get Darnay killed. Later on Mr.
Cruncher discloses that Cly s grave was filled with dirt and rock. This enables... Show more content

Although, his death is more of a mental resurrection not a literal one. This is shown when Carton
decides to sacrifice himself by taking Darnay s place on the guillotine and stating I am the
Resurrection and the life. This theme of resurrection is shown earlier, where carton foresees a
boy to be born to Lucie and Charles who bears his name. Carton is then reborn through Lucie and
Darnay s son. So in reality Carton never truly died because in his sacrifice he will have resurrected
his life by giving his life reason and
The Throne Of Fire Essay
Rick Riordan easily demonstrated the growth and development of characters throughout the story
names The Throne of Fire . Bes, the egyptian dwarf god had not like Carter and Sadie Kane really
much. After their experience with each other they developed a new relationship, for example all
the times they have fought of the servants of the embodiment of chaos, Apophis. When they were
gambling for moonlight with the moon god, Khonsu Bes had risked his ren , secret name, or his
life s experience for Carter and Sadie to be able to go one past the eighth house to stop Apophis
from rising. One Bes s last words before he had given his ren to Khonsu were, Sometimes you
have to lose a piece to win a game. (Riordan, 393), which shows that he had cared too much for
Sadie and Carter to have risked his own existence just for two magicians that he had met for barely
one week. After leaving London to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He cleverly used the ba trips that Sadie and Carter experienced throughout the book to recount
ancient stories to describe what happened in the past as well as to describe the surroundings and
the actions that were taking place. Carter stated, my ba drifted as soon as I fell asleep...the edge
of the magic curtain was turning from red to deep purple indicating a new age...I saw two figures
grappling in front of a burning chair. (Riordan, 302). The author surprisingly describes and
developed the plot of the story in only one action. He also developed the plot of the story by
describing the memories that Carter had of Zia. Carter described Zia by starting by, Her short
black hair drifted around her face, which was just as beautiful as I remembered...Queen Nefertiti,
Zia reminded me of her, with raised eyebrows, high cheekbones, graceful nose, and perfect red lips.
Rick Riordan used more examples of how he developed the plot of the story in his own smart
Examples Of Abigail s Monologue For The Crucible
As I have stated earlier Abigail wants John Proctor, She and John proctor had an affair in his
household as she served them in it. She was so desperate she tried to kill John Proctor s wife
basically using witchcraft, aka drinking blood. Betty says, You did, you did! You drank a charm
to kill John Proctor s wife! You drank a charm to kill Goody Proctor! (919); Abigail already has a
bad image going for her since she was fired from her job for no reason . If we are counting the girl
already has a terrible reputation, she had her fun with a married man but after getting kicked out, but
she is STILL pursuing him. You are young there are many single young men out there, get something
better to do with your life, you are out here letting people... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I want the light of god, I want the sweet love of Jesus! I danced for the Devil; I saw him; I wrote in
his book; I go back to Jesus; I kiss His hand. I saw Sarah Good with the devil! I saw Goody Osburn
with the Devil! I saw Bridget Bishop with the Devil! (934). This statement was made by Abigail
basically to put more attention on her, the more attention she got the closer she is to being so
believable she can insult the best person there is and people will still believe her. It will take a lot of
innocent people s lives to get exactly what she
How Does Kennedy Use Diction In A Quilt Of A Country
Anna Quindlen, the author of A Quilt of a Country uses different types of diction in her essay. She
uses compare contrast, opinions, and concrete information unlike John F. Kennedy who wrote the
essay The Immigrant Contribution . Kennedy uses different types of diction like sophisticated, and
technical like using actual records to back up his story. Quindlen and Kennedy are two authors using
different techniques to write about the same concepts. They each compose about how Immigrants
contribute to our country and how our country has been made up out of immigrants. As I previously
aforementioned, both authors had the same view. Both of the authors, Quindlen and Kennedy, view
our country as having been built of immigrants;
Advantages Of Lito Laminated Carton
1. VALUE PROPOSITION
Introduction
The product that I have chosen is Litho Laminated Boxes to introduce to Lithotech as a new product.
Litho laminated packaging is a high value product which provides maximum strength to protect your
product but also allows a consumer to brand the packaging with high quality print quality which
stands out on retail shelves. A litho laminated box is the same as a corrugated box which is an
excellent material for shipping as it offers excellent protection for the products. Litho laminated
cartons are geared for customers requiring higher print quality and greater strength than folding
cartons. A litho laminated carton is manufactured by mounting a board or paper to a single flute
corrugated sheet. The board ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When necessary based on their history I will contact them to see when they will be next purchasing
or how there stock levels are of the products.
When approaching new potential customers to set up appointments I will have everything
written down in front of me of what I am going to say to avoid any stuttering. This also makes me
more confident. Most of my calls I will make on a Tuesday and Wednesday morning around 10am. I
will also be very friendly and polite and try to be as confident as possible and will always have the
attitude that I have nothing to lose by making the phone call. Persistence will pay off so I will call
as many people as I possibly can in an hour. Take a break for an hour and then make calls again for
another hour.
I will use my linked in account which normally leads to industries been linked and will try to find
potential customers on that base.
I will also arrange that our company will produce litho laminated boxes branded with our company
s branding and use one of our existing clients that manufacture eg biscuits to fill the boxes. These
boxes of biscuits I will give to potential customers when I meet with them face to
Aristotelian God
Aristotle s own term to describe the Aristotelian god as alive very well makes sense. In his sense,
God is alive, and the entire world is alive through the oneness of God. The idea of being alive or not
alive applies in everyday human life; however, this does not apply to God as God is not bounded
and is beyond by these ideas. In the Metaphysics Book 7, Aristotle wrote If, then, Godis always in
that good state in which we sometimes are, this compels our wonder; and if in a better this
compels it yet more. And God is in a better state. And life also belongs to God; for the actuality of
thought is life, and God is that actuality; and God s self dependent actuality is life most good and
eternal. We say therefore that God is a living being, eternal,
