Icebreaker Activity: "Name Toss"
Objective:
Help learners get to know each other while practicing simple English sentences.
Materials Needed:
A soft ball or small stuffed toy
Instructions:

1. Have the class stand or sit in a circle.
2. The teacher starts by holding the ball and saying:
"My name is [Name], and I like [something you enjoy]."
Example: "My name is Ms. Cruz, and I like reading."
3. The teacher tosses the ball to a student.
4. The student catches the ball and says:
"My name is [Name], and I like [something they enjoy]."
5. That student then tosses the ball to another classmate, and the process continues until everyone has had a
turn.
6. Optional: After everyone has shared, ask a few students to recall what their classmates like.
Variation for Extra Fun:
Add a challenge by asking students to repeat the names and likes of the previous two students before saying their
own.
Activity: Find Someone Who·
Walk around the room and talk to your classmates
Try to find someone who matches each of the prompts below

Activity: Pair Sharing – “Introduce Your Partner”
Objective:
Learners will practice speaking in simple English by interviewing a partner and introducing them to the class.
Instructions:
1. Pair Up: Each student pairs with a classmate.
2. Interview: Ask your partner the following questions (or use a worksheet).
3. Take Notes: Write down your partner’s answers.
4. Introduce: Stand up and introduce your partner to the class using simple sentences.
