Monitor

➢ A monitor is the window to your computer, transforming

digital signals into vibrant visuals. It displays everything you
do whether it’s working on documents, watching videos, or
playing games proving a seamless bridge between you and
your machine. With advancements like high resolutions, fast
refresh rates, and stunning colors, modern monitors make
digital experiences sharper, smoother, and more immersive
It’s functions includes:
• Displaying text, images, videos, and graphics.

• Acting as the interface between the user and digital content.

• Allowing interaction with computer applications and

programs.

• Showing the user interface, desktop, and open programs.

• Connecting to the computer via cables.

2. CPU

➢ A Central Processing Unit is the most important component

of a computer system. A CPU is hardware that performs
data input/output, processing, and storage functions for a
computer system. A CPU can be installed into a CPU socket.
These sockets are generally located on the motherboard.
CPU can perform various data processing operations. CPU
can store data, instructions, programs, and intermediate
results.
It’s functions includes:
• Interpreting and executing instructions from the computer’s memory.

• Performing arithmetic and logical operations.

• Moving data around.

• Controlling flow.

• Modifying and processing data held in registers, caches, and main

memory.
3. Headphones

➢ Headphones are a type of hardware output device that can

be connected to a computer's line-out or speakers port, as
well as wirelessly using Bluetooth. They are also referred to
as earbuds. You can watch a movie or listen to audio without
bothering anyone nearby by using headphones.
It’s functions includes:
• Transforming electrical signals into sound waves using a
transducer.
• Converting audio signals into sound waves via
electromagnetic, electrostatic, or piezoelectric principles
• Allowing private listening by plugging into devices such as
computers, phones, and music players.
• Providing an output for audio without disturbing others.
4. Mouse

➢ A computer mouse is a handheld hardware input device that

controls a cursor in a GUI (graphical user interface) for
pointing, moving and selecting text, icons, files, and folders
on your computer. In addition to these functions, a mouse
can also be used to drag-and-drop objects and give you
access to the right-click menu.
It’s functions includes:
• Pointer: Moving a Mouse Pointer.
• Hovering: Keeping the Cursor on an Object without Clicking
it.
• Clicking: Opening and Closing Applications.
• Dragging and Dropping.
• Choosing: Selecting Applications.
5. Keyboard

➢ A keyboard one of the primary input devices used with a

computer. Like an electric typewriter a keyboard is
composed of buttons to create letters, numbers, and
symbols and perform additional functions. The following
sections provide more in-depth information and answers to
frequently asked questions about the keyboard.
It’s functions includes:
• Typing and Input: Allows you to enter text and numbers into a
computer or device.
• Shortcuts: Key combinations like "Ctrl + C" (Copy) and "Ctrl + V"
(Paste) enhance productivity.
• Navigation: Arrow keys, "Tab," and "Home/End" help you navigate
through documents or web pages.
• System Control: Keys like "Esc," "Ctrl," "Alt," "Delete," and "Function
(F1-F12)" are used for system commands.
• Gaming: Special keys and customizable layouts make keyboards
essential for gaming.
• Multimedia Control: Dedicated keys for adjusting volume,
playing/pausing music, or opening specific applications.
• Special Commands: Macros or programmable keys execute complex
tasks with one press.
6. Speakers

➢ Speakers are the type of transducers by use electromagnetic

waves that convert electromagnetic waves into sound
waves. It is used to connect to a computer system which
creates a sound that is considered an output part of
computer systems. here the user may give an audio input to
the systems which is either in analog or digital form to
create analog electromagnetic waves (analog speaker) to
give sound waves as an output.
It’s functions includes:
• Convert electrical energy into mechanical energy
(motion).
• Compress air and convert the motion into sound energy or
sound pressure level (SPL).
• Produce audio output that can be heard by the listener.
• Receive audio input from a device such as a computer or
an audio receiver.
