Cheese In The Super Bowl
The Super Bowl is a sporting event that is famous for producing funny and well known
advertisements. During the 2016 Super Bowl, Taco Bell released a successful ad for a new food
item. This product is known as the Quesolupa with its key feature being a unique cheese filled
shell. In the ad itself, it is first expressed that cheese put inside a taco shell is a pretty big deal, in
fact it is bigger than just about everything. To express this, a series of clips follow the initial claim
showing just how big of a deal it really is. Some examples claim that this product from Taco Bell is
going to be a bigger deal than virtual reality, drones, or just the Internet as a whole. Due to the large
number of people of different demographics that watch... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This implied view is another reasons this commercial works so well. The idea behind the advertising
used here is once again not to tell the viewer what to do, but instead, to create positive associations
with the company and the product being sold.
Taco Bell likely had a great deal of success with this campaign. By having a funny commercial that
the target demographic could relate to, people will be influenced by what they saw even if they don
t know it, which in the end, is a sign of persuasion being used
The Suez Canal Crisis of 1956
Clearly, this period was marked by political instability of which the communists sought to take
advantage of. In 1954, Khalid Bakdash won a seat in parliament as the first communist elected to an
Arab parliament. The Suez Canal Crisis of 1956 strengthened the communist influence in Syria after
signing a pack with the Soviet Union in exchange for military equipment. Soviet support to Syriawas
part of the greater strategic battle playing out in the Middle East between the Western and Eastern
blocs. It was apparent that Syrian political power was likely to shift towards communism at this
point. The Communist Party of Syria was becoming highly organized and the army s chief of staff,
Afif al Bizri, was a Communist sympathizer (Irvine, 2013).
Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser pushed for a political union with Syria. Partially in support
of Arab nationalism but also in part to block the communist influence in Syria. Nasser himself was
fearful of communist takeover and during his presidency the Egyptian Communist Party was
banned. Clearly, the growing Communist Party of Syria did not deem this unification desirable, but
support for the unity was quite popular resulting from Nasser s leadership and diplomatic victory in
the Suez Canal Crisis. Therefore, they could not strongly oppose the creation of the United Arab
Republic in 1958. This union was short lived as Nasser refused to share significant power with
Syria. Syria became independent once again after a military coup in

The Importance of Masculine and Feminine in Dr. Strangelove

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) is a dark comedy
film by Stanley Kubrick. The film deals with nuclear war which was a hot topic during the 50 s and
60 s. Americans were very paranoid about communists and nuclear war at this time. This film shows
how ridiculous the paranoia about nuclear war through a sexual relationship allegory. The allegory
deals with the masculine and the feminine. The masculine is an important part of the nuclear war
efforts while the feminine takes a backseat. The feminine is displayed in men as a negative. The
sexual allegory becomes funny through ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Strangelove are all shown as weak and impotent. The characters are either physically handicapped or
just weak minded. Mandrake and President both are represented as meek while Dr. Strangelove is
physically impaired in a wheelchair with a prosthetic arm. These characters are all hesitant in some
way to wage war which is shown as a negative. They are seen as incapable when it comes time to
take control of the situation. Mandrake couldn t stop Jack D. Ripper from launching the nuke. The
President couldn t seize control over his own army. Dr. Strangelove couldn t control his arm at the
very end. These are all deliberate to show their submissive femininity.
The president and Mandrake are both feminine in their demeanor and personality. They don t want
to go to war, but they also cannot take control and stop the war. This can be seen as the female of
the relationship not wanting sex. This leads those masculine men frustrated. The masculine
characters in the film, Buck and Jack D. Ripper, are quite enthusiastic for nuclear war and sex.
Their desire for sex and war allows them to go forward in the war effort in an energetic manner.
Buck is always energetic when talking about the war, so much so, that he literally fights in the war
room. Buck wrestles with the Russian diplomat due to his enthusiasm for war and his sexual
frustration. This causes the president to say There is no fighting in the war room. The movie uses

Pc Industry
From the mid 1970 s the structure of the PC industry had experienced a huge growth and changed
dramatically. In 2001, 40% of the PC shipments were accounted by the top four PC vendors
namely: Dell, Compaq, Hewlett Packard (HP) and IBM.
Dell, a direct sales pioneer, grew exponentially in the 1990s and emerged as the worldwide market
leader in 2001. During 2001 2002 it was the most profitable among the market leaders. Compaq
came up with a full range of PCs ranging between $1,000 and $10,000. Whereas, IBM, which at
once had a market share of 30%, was at this time going through a dramatic restructuring to stop its
market share and profits from deteriorating further. Whereas, HP maintained a comparatively smaller
share in PC sales. Besides ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 1998, Compaq moved into direct sales , a change from its dependence on a vast distribution
network.
Despite all these changes, Compaq continued to struggle financially, lost its shares to Dell and
offered to sell the firm to HP.
HEWLETT PACKARD (HP):
HP, a company which initially specialized in electronic instruments and medical instruments,
added computers and related products to its portfolio. Around 43% of its sales were majorly
generated from imaging and printing, and only 20% sales was generated from PCs. In the late
1990s, HP began to shift focus from its proprietary software towards open architecture and Wintel.
They also moved into the highly fragmented IT services business which had a comparatively slower
growth and lower margins. Later on, HP also considered acquiring Compaq in 2002.
IBM:
With sales of around $86 billion, in 2001 IBM was the world s largest computer company. Major
part of its revenue i.e., about 43% was generated from hardware sales, 38% from services, 14%
from software sales and the rest was caught up by maintenance, financing etc. IBM s trademark
historically has been its horizontal and vertical integration, making them leaders in mainframe
computers. However, IBM still faced failures in some areas failed to secure the ownership of PC
platform, losing its position of being number one in PC shipments and losing about 1 million in the
PC business. IBM started streamlining its operations by assembling almost 30% of
Persuasive Speech On Animal Rights
People go to zoos and aquariums and think nothing of the animals. One pays to see the lion do
absolutely nothing, and it does this because it knows that this day is no different than every other
day. Animals may have given birth recently, yet one sees the baby because it has been taken and
sold off to another zoo. Some may argue that zoos and Aquariums are the source to why animals live
longer. Although it has been proven, that even while being in captivity, many animals suffer mentally
from their fellows death, that is because not all animals in zoos live to old age, or sadly cannot be
allowed to (Bostock 65). Furthermore, when a lion s only cellmate passes away, it causes
depression. It is the details that visitors aren t bothered to think or even ask about. People do not
wonder about the cruelty these animals suffer and their behavior, which is why I strongly stand by
change being made to accommodate these animals rights.
In the previous paragraph, I mentioned captive animals, as being cellmates. It may seem a bit
odd to refer to them as that, and to some it may be cruel. But there is a specific reason to why I
did that. Animals aren t decorations, things, or jokes. They are all living things and deserve the
same respect we as humans possess. If one was to think about zoos and aquariums as prisons, a lot
would make sense. A prison consists of 4 walls where one cannot get out, that is until one s
sentence is done. An inmate is fed 2 3 times a day and one can
Educational Inequality In The United States
Educational inequality is the difference in the learning results, or efficacy, experienced by students
coming from different groups. Access and opportunity for education was not a right equally given to
all people in our country. From the beginning of our nation access to public education was reserved
for whites only and was forbidden for enslaved and free blacks. After Emancipation, when some
public and private schooling was made available to African Americans, black children were
segregated into under resourced schools. Due to circumstances that kept most African American
families in abject poverty, the masses of black children encountered structural barriers that prevented
them from gaining a complete formal education.
Education is one ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Based on the fact that majority white students are in advanced courses compared to black
students, the stereotype that only white children were qualified to take advanced or gifted
courses resulted. Social behavior is driven by these learned stereotypes, in which, if a child is
never aware of these opportunities are made to believe that they are not superior at a young age,
their academic choices and performance reflect it as they get older and move up in school. For
example, Tyson indicates that gifted placement in elementary or middle school is a gateway to
higher level courses in high school. Furthermore, exposure to rigorous academic materials and
instruction in the early grades may better prepare students to master challenging material later and
to perform well on standardized tests. Teachers and counselors may also be more likely to steer
gifted students toward advanced classes because they hold higher expectations for these students
than they do for non gifted ones (Tyson 146). The inequality of black access to gifted education
compared to white access is drastic and shapes the overall track for a child s educational pathway.
Institutional racism, which refers to the norms, practices and policies within an institution that
promote and maintain a racial hierarchy that continues to advantage the white race, while
disadvantaging and discriminating against other racialized groups is the cause of this continual cycle
Counter Painkillers
The Dangers of Over The Counter Painkillers When one has a headache or is in pain, he or she
takes a pill or two and then that s it, the pain is gone, and everything is fine, right? Not necessarily.
A lot of adults do not follow or know the recommended dosage for OTC (Over The Counter) pain
medications. This is a serious issue because overdosing on these painkillers can have very
detrimental affects on the body. According to a pharmacist of the Nonprescription DrugsAdvisory
Committee at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, 50% of patients do not take the amount of
medicine they are directed (Engle). The number of accidental adult overdose on OTC pain
medication, such as TYLENOL®, Mucinex®, and Nyquil®, has sharply risen in recent years with
a 27% increase in the amount of overdoses from the period of 2005 2010 alone (Gerth... Show more

However, when misused they can damage the body. More drugs in the last two years have been
changed from prescription only medication to over the counter medication than in the last decade
(Blenkinsopp). The major reason for this is because most OTC medications contain acetaminophen,
which is a pain and fever reducer. It is currently the most common medicine for pain relief in the
United States (Greenlaw). The problem with acetaminophen is that it can severely damage your liver
tissue and skin. It damages the Glutathione Pathway, which is necessary for detoxification. This
pathway is strongest antioxidant protector in the liver. Acetaminophen breaks down this pathway
and in turn decreases the protection from toxins over time. It also accounts for about 460 deaths,
56,000 emergency room visits, and 2,6000 hospitalizations every year due to acute liver failure
(University of Texas Medical Center). Acetaminophen in the correct amount can be advantageous,
but one must understand the recommended proper dosage and frequency that the medication should
be
