Great Butte Mining Research Paper
On June 8, 1917, one of the most devastating disasters in Montana took place. Over 160 miners
died, this disaster being the Great Butte Mining Disaster of 1917. It was truly a devastation...
When a fire safety, electrical line was being installed, which would ve been convenient five
minutes later, the weight of the line was unbearable, causing the line to drop down the shaft.
Before plastic, wire was insulated with oil soaked cloth. Ernest Sullau climbed through debris
with a carbide lamp that touched the oil soaked cloth, starting the fire. Ventilation fans stirred the
fire up tremendously. Many people know when wood and fire mix, bad things happen. Imagine
the mine or an emergency department calling your wife and saying, Your husband has died from
a casualty yesterday from asphyxiation in the speculator mine in Butte, Montana , this was the
kind of call wives around Butte were receiving after this disaster. I put my lamp too close, John.
Ernest Sullau (Quotes) The person who started the fire, Ernest Sullau, said a he stood watching the
fire burn and eat away at hard earned work. Over 160 miners died doing what (some of them)
loved. Most death themed casualties happened from asphyxiation from smoke. The flags were at
half mass that day, all of the wars happening were forgotten because of this great devastation. The
Speculator Mine made most of the income, but when this great desolation happened, no other mine
was as important as this one. In all of the miners families hearts, this mine was made a family history
story. So when they went to bed, they lay there,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Myth Of The Witch
The image of the witch did not exist until the late fifteenth century. While the witch did exist in the
popular imagination, the term witch was not yet synonymous with female. Although the witch craze
was an early modern phenomenon, the stereotype of the female witch is rooted in several elements
of late medieval witchcraftwhich antedate the witch hunts, and the time period that scholars
recognize as most critical for the formation of the witch lies between the years 1430 and 1660.
Before this time period, witchcraft, sorcery, and maleficium (magic) were dismissed as false
superstition. Gradually, much of Medieval Europe began seriously believing that they were dealing
with an omnipresent, uncontrollable threat of as many as ten... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Arguably, the most important medieval work on witchcraft was the Malleus maleficarum, or the
Hammer of Witches, written by Dominican inquisitor Heinrich Kramer in 1487. With 30,000
copies and over thirty different editions in circulation by the end of the seventeenth century, the
Malleus can be considered an early modern best seller . Without the invention of the printing press
forty years before, it is unlikely that the witch craze would have taken on such a large following.
According to Eisenstein, the witch craze was actually a by product of Gutenberg s invention.
Kramer was a highly educated professor of theology at the University of Salzburg, Austria. After
its publication, the Malleus was widely used as a handbook for the persecution of witches
throughout Europe. In Part I, Kramer establishes the reality of witches and how the disbelief in
witchcraft and demonology was heresy; Part II, Kramer describes stories of witchcraft; and finally,
in Part III he provides instructions for the legal procedures to be followed in witch trials. The
Malleus is most famous for its cementing of the female diabolical witch in Christendom. Two
decades ago, historian Christina Larner warned that while studying the feminization of
Vast Wasteland Summary
In Vast Wasteland, Newton Minow gave a forewarning speech about television and the public
interest. Minow is correct in his statement for these reasons: the influence of viewers, public interest,
and the future impact of television.
Television has a widespread influence on everyone, especially children. Children are impacted so
much by the things they have seen and watched on TV. They learn many things from TV, but their
social skills and other learning abilities slow down. Watching TV numbs the mind of children and
keeps them inactive from daily exercise. Furthermore, speech delays can occur in children who
watch excessive amounts of television. Television programming such as MTV, Adult Swim, and
Family Guy exposes and promotes negative ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are numerous channels of different types of programming: educational, reality, and news
reporting. Educational programming is beneficial in many ways. It helps children learn a variety
of skills such as the alphabet, numbers, and manners. Reality TV programming is invasive . This
type of programming promotes spreading rumors and nonsense about people in the world today.
Invading the privacy of people is reality programming s biggest key to success. Everyone is
always wanting to know about what other people are doing, who they are talking to, where they are
going, and when and they will be somewhere. Celebrities are most likely the biggest victims of our
ridiculing reality TV. Today, most people are interested in reality TV channels like Music TV,
Entertainment TV and Abc networks. One can watch reality shows such as Cops, Trauma in the ER,
and Keeping up with the Kardashians. Another programming is the news which is opinion based,
depending on what one wants to see when he wants to see it. Multiple stories are broadcasted
everyday with the latest news. The public has multiple channels to choose from when it comes to the
news. Public interest is definitely important to television programming. Television gains its ratings
from the public watching programming. Therefore, broadcasters make their living as to what interest
the public on
Monteverdi, Vivaldi, Pachelbel, And Handel
There are three big periods of music. These periods are Baroque, Classical, and Romantic. In these
periods there were several different composers who helped shape that period. Here are but a few in
each of the period.
In the Baroque period, some composers are Vivaldi, Monteverdi, Pachelbel, and Handel. There, of
course, are much more as these are just four composers. First, Vivaldi, his full name is Antonio
Lucio Vivaldi. Vivaldi was born in 1678 and grew to be an Italian violinist and a composer. He was
born with angina pectoris or chest pain due to heart disease caused by his heart not gaining enough
oxygen, he was also born with asthma. Due to these conditions, he was known for running out of the
church, but he was also known to run out ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By the time Claudio was in his teens, he had already published several religious and secular music,
but his music took a turn when he was employed by the Duke of Mantua. There he would meet
Giaches De Wert who changed his music drastically. The change puts his music in a whole new
direction. Monteverdi will later die in the year 1643.
The last composer mentioned is Handel. Handel was a German composer who was born in 1685
and later became an English citizen in his later years. In Handel s younger years his father did not
wish for him to go into music due to thinking it would not create him enough money. Handel s
mother did approve through and helped him to study in secret. When Handel got older he would
later, please his father by going to school to become a lawyer but later dropping out to pursue
music, his passion. Handel suffered through several problems throughout the years. He struggled
with anxiety and depression. He also suffered two strokes within the same year. Both of which he
made a shockingly quick recovery. Also in his later years, he ended up losing sight in his left eye
but that did not stop him as he continued to compose. Two years after losing sight in his left eye, he
lost sight in his right eye. Despite being completely blind, he continued to compose depending on his
memory of the notes to compose.
In the Classical period, some composers are Haydn, Boccherini, Mozart, and Hummel. There, of
course, are much more as these are just four composers.

Introduction
The purpose of this work is to discuss the relevancy of the court case the United States of America
v. Richard D. King, Jr. and the influence it had on future cybercrime cases. A description will be
given as to how the Fourth and Fifth Amendments are applied to cybercrimes, as well as an
explanation how the Fourth and Fifth Amendments were addressed in this case. Further explanation
on how the King ruling may apply to other cases involving computers or other devices that contain
electronic evidence is provided.
The 4th and 5th Amendments Applied To Cybercrimes The 4th Amendment can be applied to

A brief summary of the events leading up to the case provided through the University of Phoenix
materials includes King s involvement in email communications with Larkin, the mother of a 2
year old girl who would later be abused by King sexually. Because Larkin and the child, known as
Peanut , were residing in King s residence, law enforcement would serve an arrest warrant there
against Larkin and to rescue Peanut from abuse by her caretakers. King walked the officers to
Larkin, who willingly gave up her computer to investigators. King objected that his hard drive was
in her computer and did not give permission for officers to take it, but they did so regardless of his
objections. King would later be connected to further criminal activity and willingly went to speak
with law enforcement, where he made admissions to his involvement. King would later try to have
his admission and other evidence obtained through investigating Larkin as well hidden when he was
charged and faced trial for his crimes (University, 2016).
In regard to the 4th Amendment, King asserted that the police violated the Fourth Amendment when
they entered his house on February 19, 2004 and seized his hard drive without a warrant or his
consent (FindLaw, 2016). Because the owner of the computer hardware was disputing the legality of
its removal from someone else s property without his permission, King
The Impact Of Financial Doping
2.4.3 Financial Doping
With high levels of financial losses encroaching the world of football, the need to spend in order to
compete developed a phenomenon known as financial doping. This is a situation in which an owner
of a sports franchise invests their own personal wealth into securing success, rather than relying on
revenue generated via the franchise related activities. This reflects on what Sloane (1971) says that
football club owners are utility maximisers rather than profit maximisation. Being motivated by
success as their clubs participate in prestige competitions, some may argue that their investments are
not sustainable and the impact of sugar daddies has been titled as financial doping (Muller et al.,
2012). A significant proportion of debt accumulated in the league is in the form of soft loans ,
which is low or zero interest loans from the clubs owners. These soft loans will rarely be called in,
which differentiates them from loans taken out from a bank. The severity of financial doping in
English football has been referred to as a melting pot with teams such as Liverpool, Manchester
United, Manchester City and Chelsea all receiving financial support from their billionaire owners.
With external sources of money being introduced into the game, it highlights how football is able to
stay afloat and thrive despite making substantial financial losses. The APFG in 2009 noted that there
were severe doubts about whether it is sustainable in the medium or long
How Technology Has Solve All The Problems Of Today And...
As nature deteriorates on several fronts, ranging from ozone depletion to water contamination,
scientists and politicians grow more desperate to stall and ultimately reverse the damage to the
environment. Technology quickly comes to mind as the most viable option, having been responsible
for great strides in fields such as computer science and medicine. Humanity is fascinated by the
question: if science can cure disease, why not use it to regulate the environment? Questions like this
gave way to techno optimism, the belief that technologycan solve all the problems of today and
tomorrow. However, techno optimism is a flawed philosophy that mistakes technology for an
environmental cure all. While the pursuit of ecological sustainabilityrequires the use technology, the
theory grossly exaggerates the power of this relationship. It is imperative that techno optimism be
dispelled and replaced with a new, more realistic ideology. Far superior is the notion of techno
realism, which seeks to find the most efficient, most realistic solutions possible while considering all
limiting factors in a particular situation. However, at this time, it is more important to promote
techno realism as a philosophy than to describe specific techno realistic solutions to environmental
and social concerns. Embracing techno realism is the first step in learning that technology, while
necessary to protect the environment, is not a panacea in its own right.
The fundamental difference between
Preconceived Notions of Western-Europe
Preconceived notions of Western European forms of kinship and societal relations influence
anthropological studies of kinship in different cultures (Schneider). Morgan theorized that a sexual
relationship between female and male constituted marriage. In addition to this, Morgan considered
the biological reproductionof offspring the key determinant in kinship classification as parents of said
offspring. This paradigm has influenced the viewpoint of anthropologists studying other forms of
kinship in different cultures. Rather than examining what kinship is to those being studied,
anthropologists attempt to classify it into familiar categories. Two ethnographies that attempt
eliminate this Western European bias are Biology Unmoored by Sandra Bamford and Sport of
Kings by Rebecca Cassidy. Biology Unmoored examines the Kamea, an indigenous people of the
Papa New Guinea Highlands. The Kamea do not solely base kinship on reproduction; rather, kinship
and societal relations are based on the humanrelationship with the plant environment. Using the
viewpoint of the Kamea, Bamford analyzes the biological paradigm proposed by Morgan, which has
influenced many anthropological studies. In the ethnography Sport of Kings Rebecca Cassidy
examines the British racing industry in Newmarket, the international headquarters of horseracing.
Cassidy claims that by analyzing the relationship between humans and animals we may better
understand kinship and social relations between humans. By
How Social And Political Procedures Affects Resilience At...
This paper has demonstrated and examines how series of social and political procedure affects
resilience at various spatial scales. Resilience is defined as the ability of individuals or
communities to withstand and rebound from sudden natural disaster [earthquake, flood or
hurricane] that accounts for the loss of life and properties. However, the definition of resilience
is broad as resilience thinkers [Charles Holling and Neil Adger] have argued differently. For
example, Holling defines resilience as the ability of a system to absorb change of state variable,
driving variables, and parameters, and still persist (Holling, 1973), while Adger, defines resilience
as the ability of groups or communities to cope with external stresses and disturbances as a result of
social, political and environmental change (Adger, 2000). Understandably, thinker like Adger and
Holling as Climate Changethinkers within the academic space have a different opinion to what
constitutes the impact of climatechange and best possible approaches needed towards building
resilience within social and political frameworks.
This paper argues prevalently that, resilience is shaped by social and political discourse emphasizing
on vulnerability and climate change adaptation methods such as Livelihood and Economic
Diversification (LED) and Community based adaptation (CBA). The essay further argues that
resilience is debated at multi levels [local, state, and global] but global policy makers often dominate

Is Global Warming True Or False
Global warning has been a highly debated issue over the years. It has come to the forefront during
the presidential debates as to whether global warning was true or false. There is conflicting
evidence to both sides of the argument but what remains to be seen is who has the most accurate
information and is it true? What is global warming? It is described as a steady increase of the earths
atmosphereusually associated with the greenhouse effect which is caused by an increase in
pollutants in the atmosphere. One thing that is clear is that there is a problem with that climate. The
consensus is not sure as to whether it is caused by human influence or by environmental influences
has yet to be seen. The recent debates have stated that the
