Least Industrialized Countries By Neocolonialism
I would explain these geographical trends and how most of my clothes come from the least
industrialized countries by neocolonialism. Neocolonialism is when the most powerful industrialized
nations and countries like the United States use their political and economic power to dominant and
use the resources of the least industrialized countries and nations. Moreover, a lot of my clothes
came from least industrialized countries because the United States can exploit theses countries for
cheap resources and labor. Since they can benefit from cheap labor and resources, they can also
benefit from a lower cost per item made. Thus, the United States saves a lot of money and resources
from taking their production to the least industrialized countries.
Moso Matrilineal System
Moso society, better known as Na, is a small ethnic group living in Yunnan and Sichuan provinces in
China. For decades, they have implemented a matrilineal system in their culture. Matrilineal system
is defined as a system in which their descendants are traced using their mothers lineage. Since Moso
society applied the matrilineal system in their culture, there are several implications and
characteristics that can be analyzed from that point. One important feature of matrilineal is called
walking marriage. There is no traditional marriage in Moso culture, so in a familythere are neither
husbands nor wives. In walking marriage the partners do not live in the same households, as during
midnights the man who has received permission to visit the woman comes to spend the whole night
with her and return to his home early in the morning. From certain aspects, walking marriage has
positive effects towards Moso s family structure, child gender preference and gender equality. This
essay analyzes about how those aspects are benefited by the walking marriage.
The first aspect influenced by the practice of walking marriage is the structure of family. As
discussed in lecture seven by Professor Ma, Moso society does not practice any legal marriage at
all, as men must maintain their visits to their female friends for a long time. Mulder (2009) defined
this relationship as serial monogamy in which an individual can have a number of long term sexual
partners in succession. This implies
The Impact Of Environmental Sustainability On The...
Introduction

Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising
the ability of future generations to meet their own needs (1, 2). Figure 1 Sustainable development:
the interaction of social Environmental and Economic factors (3)

The purpose of the report inspired by the above statement made on the Brundtland Report, 1987, is to
link the concept of environmental sustainability to architecture and in particular in the context of city
planning, building design and materials. The topic was chosen by the author as is in direct relation
with his discipline of Civil and structural engineering.
The way buildings are constructed and decommissioned has a major impact on the environment as
well as the society itself. The incorporation of sustainability in the architectural design can help the
creation of self sufficient, stable, economically viable communities. The ecological footprint of a
structure in terms of an individual unit or a whole set of units composing a metropolis, should not
have a detrimental effect to the already heavily affected by humans natural environment (4).
There is a way through smart design, innovative thinking and technological innovation to not only
limit the detrimental effects of the construction but also make a positive contribution to environment
and cater in a better way for the people s physical and psychological wellbeing(4, 5).
Several paradigms in the main body of the report do demonstrate that the
Being A Lowell Girl Essay
In the 19th century, women would work in the Lowell mills and were called Lowell Girls. For the
time period, it was very beneficial for young women to work at these mills. They were able to do
things that they couldn t do at home. There were advantages and disadvantages for the girls to be
working in the factory. There were many advantages of being a Lowell Girl. A Lowell Girl was
paid in wages and these women would work and send their money back to their families. They
would live in dorms while working at the mill. The company provided housing accommodations,
schooling, and entertainment for the Lowell girls. The workers were fortunate to not need a lot of
skill to work at the factory. The women working at these mills gained something that
The Problems that Come with the Gigantic Leaps in Computer...
In computers, there has been a big contrast from the twentieth century to the twenty first century. The
word computer was first used in 1613, describing a person who performs calculations in their head.
In 1943 the Turing Machine was created by Alan Turing for theories about computing and computers.
This device printed symbols on paper. Then, in the early twenty first century, companies created
computers that can surf the internet, let people create word documents, and play games. As time
goes on, computertechnology advances through the centuries to awe inspiring devices, but can lead
to safety and privacy issues not dreamed of. In the twentieth century, modern technology began. As
early as 1971, Intel created the personal computerwhich was used in businesses. The company
Apple offered to consumers and donated to schools, their version of the personal computer, but it
was slowly accepted. In the 1980 s net book computers were introduced, allowing consumers and
businesses to take their play and work wherever they went. Early computers had numerous safety
hazards. Many consumers were not aware of how necessary it was to clean and manage their
personal computer. Dust and hair would get sucked into the computer s front fan and would stick to
the hardware components. This would cause the components to overheat and start a fire or just fry
the computer s motherboard. Another issue is viruses. Whether someone only used their computer
either for research, or for
Illegal Immigration Law
Just like the natives, immigrants also commit criminal activities, and they are supposed to face
corrective measures designed by the respective countries they reside. One of the research that was
carried by and published in local dailies revealed that contrary to popular belief, immigrants are less
likely to commit crimethan the natives. Also, experts assert that the available evidence does not
support the claim that undocumented immigrant s disproportionate share of the crimes. When the
U.S. president assumes s power, he gave executive orders stating that many people who are entering
the country with no permission did present a significant threat to public safety and national security
at large (Martin 136). Therefore, a directive to the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Just like it is our expectation when we go the hospital when we are sick, we expect to come out with
a feeling of relief and better than when we went into the facility. It is also in the same breath that the
criminal justice system needs not to be dissimilar in applying the help to them than exposing them to
deportation.

Currently, there is a grand senate plan that will form the core of any successful reform effort. The
program considers a second chance too many non citizens who are convicted of criminal activities.
Moreover, immigration departments together with the judges would be powerless to make
exceptions for the aliens if they were to be put into deportation proceedings. These people have lived
their lives in the United States since their childhood and consequently, have established strong
family ties to the U.S. people. Many of them are lawful permanent residents, but the crime may
have been a relative minor. No matter, even the people that have served out their punishment and
have been ardent law abiding citizens would have less or no hope of getting right with the law
(Morawetz 29). It is, therefore, needless to say, deportation of the immigrant with criminal records
is an easy political tool to campaign on, but it calls for sobriety. Eviction becomes the best
alternative in situations where all social justice
Similarities Between Dracula And Modern Day Society
Are there still connections between Bram Stokers famous novel Dracula and modern day society?
In Dracula, Stoker expands on many themes that indeed exist today. Not only does he touch on the
most obvious theme, sex. He expands on gender division and good versus evil. Some say since
times have changed the themes I introduced have changed as well, leaving connections between then
and now irrelevant. However, I feel that although times have changed they still have roots from the
time of the novel to now. In this essay I will expand on the themes of this novel while connecting
them to modern day society, the critical texts I have chosen and will mention later on in the essay
are a good representation of the commonalities between the chill, dark Victorian days in which the
era that Draculawas written in and modern day. Why does Bram Stoker and many authors alike
make vampires out to be voluptuous and sexy? Is it because it brings light to our darkest desires?
Not in the sense that we desire to feed on another humans blood. But in more of a dark and sinful
kind of way. In society back then and now, sex is still kind of weird to talk and be open about.
Although, sex is more accepted nowadays it is still something you usually do not discuss. So I
believe what drew a large crowd in for Draculawas the fact that it went against the norms of society.
For example, the Jonathan Harker describes the encounter with the three sisters as ecstasy (Stoker
42). He said that they had
The Root Cause Analysis Of Rca Essay
The root cause analysis, RCA is used in the health care profession to find flaws and opportunities
for improvement in the nursing environment. It is a structured analysis method for serious
adverse health care events. Moreover, by conducting a RCA, health care practitioners determine
the underlying problems that intensify the likelihood of errors with avoidance of focus on
individuals mistakes. A systems approach is used to detect and eliminate active and latent errors
to prevent future harm. As a result, RCAs follow a pre specified protocol starting with collection
of data, record reviewing and participant interviews to reconstruct the event in question (Franklin,
Shebl Barber, 2012). Health care workers are obligated to protect their clients through full
understanding of nursing sensitive indicators for aversion of any possible cases of hospital
associated injury or death. If a patient is in more danger than they arrived at the hospital, then a
RCA is useful to determine the way forward. A 67 year old male patient presented to the
emergency department moaning and complaining of severe pain to his left leg and hip after a
fall. The patient s vital signs are recorded as blood pressure 120/80, heart rate 88, body
temperature 98.60F, and respiration 32 and weights of 175 pounds. The pain is severe at 10/10. On
assessment it is revealed that the patient is in moderate distress and the left leg seems shortened with
calf edema, ecchymosis and has a limited range of motion.
