Asthma Pathophysiology
Pathophysiology Asthma is a disease of the lungs that can be influenced by different genes or alleles.
When the epithelial or mucosal barrier is exposed to pollens, allergens, microbes or pollutants, these
can stimulate the underlying antigen presenting cells (APC) which causes an immune response to
occur.17 This can cause a cell influx into the airway that is primarily eosinophilic or neutrophilic.
When the allergens present themselves, they can initiate a breakdown in the physical barriers,
causing further allergic, inflammatory responses.
Epidemiology
According to a 2012 report the incidence of adults with asthma ranges from 5.8 11.1% across the
states.10 According to the report, those reporting asthma have anywhere from a mild to a severe
form of the disease, the latter causing exacerbations or attacks. According to this report, asthma
incidence has increased from 2001 to 2010. At least 4% of the worldwide population is afflicted
with asthma.11 Depending upon how ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The new guidelines also recommend that if there are adults who are on high doses of continued or
frequent use of oral steroids, that they be referred for specialist care. Studies have demonstrated that
when clients have asthma and are given high doses of corticosterioids, this can lead to bone density
loss, and potentially osteoporosis, so it is important for clinicians to monitor their patients with
moderate to severe asthma for this side
A Report On The Wine Industry, Based On Analysis And...
Introduction

This report will discuss whether or not to invest in Tunisian wine industry, based on analysis and
theories for the current market. It will point out all the advantages and disadvantages of investing in
there and will make a recommendation based on many factors.

The first part will talk briefly about Tunisia and will point out all the relevant information that can
affect a newly started business in there. It will also go in depth by inserting Michel Porter s national
competitive advantage of industries (Diamond Theory) into the discussion of this subject. The
second part will discuss two managerial issues the organization may face while doing business in
there. Finally, part C will introduce two suitable methods of entry ... Show more content on

The Arab in there count for 98% or the total citizens and the rest 2% are Europeans and other ethnic
groups. Because most of its citizens are Arab, Muslims count for 99.1% of the total population,
which makes it an Islamic country that follow that Islamic rules. Moreover, the main language used
in there is the Arabic language followed by English and French, however, the government is trying to
make English is the main business language (Central Intelligence Agency, 2014) (Statistiques

Islamic Law and Wine Industry

The Islamic law persisted even after the riot, when a political group called Al Nahda won with 41%
of the seats voted that the main source of legislation is Islam (Sabek, 2013). Because Islamic law
prohibit the trading/consumption of alcohol, many consumers tend to go to the hotels or the
black market just to buy wine (Euro Monitor, 2013). In addition, Tunisia wine experts declared
that the sales of wine have decline in the period between 2008 and 2012, and it will keep on
falling for the upcoming few year, due to some farmers no longer want to work and produce
grapes for wine for religious reasons, as well as the cost price has increased and a continuant
decrease in the wine grapes price compared to the other similar products does not cover the cost
(Market Research, 2013).

Essay on The Tradition of the Chivo Mask
The Chivo mask is from Mexico, typically found in the state of Guerrero. The mask was first
created and used in the village, Zitlala, after the Mexican Revolution. It is used for the ritual dance
called La Danza de los Chivos or Dance of the Goats. However, the dance is now used in many
other celebrations and festivities throughout other areas of Mexico, as well. The mask is part of the
ceremony known as the Danceof the Goats or La Danza de los Chivos. The mask on

In the ceremony, the dancers line up in two lines dancing while portraying goats. The dancers
wear outfits made of white silk thread with normal tennis shoes and socks. The mask, of course,
is the most important aspect of the attire. Mask makers typically decorate the masks with horns, a
head dress, or both. They also usually paint them in bright colors, such as the one found on
masksoftheworld.com. In some areas, the masks also have colored ribbon at the tips of the horns
and hair made of sisal or raffia thread. The dancers are primarily male, though there are some areas
that have female dancers, as well. This is the case in Quechultenango, Guerrero, Mexico. Groups of
both male and female dancers complete the dance. In the same area, they dance in normal, everyday
attire and only wear masks they decorated to resemble the goat.

Although the dance originated in Zitlala, dancers perform it today in many regions for many
different celebrations and festivities. One of these include Dia de San Juan Bautista or Day of Saint
Juan. In fact, they perform this and similar dances during celebrations of all the Saints. A parade
usually marks the beginning of the festivity. Cars and floats move along the streets. These floats
normally all demonstrate some aspect of Mexican culture, such as music. Then, the dancing begins.
There is also a firework show. These festivities usually last through the night. The dance is
Private Vs. Public Sin In The Scarlet Letter By Nathaniel...
The changing imagery of each of the three scaffold scenes presents Hawthorne s idea of private
vs. public sin. Using different visual elements such as light and placement, Hawthorne s imagery
creates a separation of each scene (and character) for the reader. This idea is carried out through
the portrayal of Dimmesdale and Hester, each with their own kind of sin to endure. In the first
scaffold scene, Hawthorne exemplifies Hester s public sin as she stands in the exposure of daylight,
facing a crowd of townspeople, her embroidered A visible to all. Her shame is very much public,
with societies reactions and judgements ringing loudly throughout the scenes description. This is
seen as the town gossips speak about Hester amongst themselves, enforcing the ideas of shame upon
her character.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The scene focuses on Reverend Dimmesdale, standing alone on the scaffold in the dark of night
They would have discerned no face above the platform, nor hardly the outline of a human shape, in
the dark grey of midnight. (134) Dimmesdale s sin is private, his guilt and suffering internal, yet
constantly eating away at him. His attempt to repent, however noble, becomes fundamentally weak
as he stands in the dark, still veiling his sin from the public, therefore unable to heal his pain. Hester
however, through the public incrimination of her own sins, has become stronger, able to cope.
Dimmesdale speaking to Hester, exclaims, Happy are you, Hester, that wear the scarlet letter openly

INTRODUCTION
Biogas is an important renewable energy resource for rural areas in India.
It is produced by anaerobic digestion of biological wastes.

It is an environment friendly, clean, cheap and versatile fuel.

Biogas generally comprise of 55 65 % methane, 35 45 % carbon dioxide, 0.5 1.0 % hydrogen sulfide
and traces of water vapour. Biogas like Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cannot be liquefied under
normal temperature and pressure.

Spondyloepiphyseal Dysplasia Essay
Spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia is a type of dwarfism. Dwarfism is a disorder can happen because
of several different reasons. This type of dwarfism occurs because of a defective gene from at
least one parent that is passed down to its offspring, but could also occur because of a new
mutation in the gene passed down. Although there are different types of dwarfism they all cause
the person to be short, and sometimes disfigured or distorted. This type and most of the others not
only affect the persons legs, but can also effect different parts of their body. There are treatments to
help with these other problems that go with dwarfism, but you can not fully get rid of it.
Spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia mostly occurs in a child when one of their parents passes down a
defective geneto them. Around 80 percent of these people have average size parents though, this
can be caused by new mutations that have developed in the parent or parents gene that gets
passed down to their offspring. Their average size is dwarf was below 4 10 , but still above 4 .
Spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia is also commonly referred to as SED. This type of dwarfism disrupts
bone growth during development as a child. This is what causes the... Show more content on

Some also have a curvature of the neck and spine, which is called scoliosis, as described before.
This forms in a child in their developmental stages during childhood that can cause problems with
breathing later in their life, if not monitored and treated appropriately. These changes in the spine

hip joint deformity in which the upper leg bones turn inward causing the person to have an
extremely hard time walking and doing other activities including most sports, or even standing for

Catalysts In Elizabethan War
Conflicting Countries Catalysts in Elizabethan War In the movie The Martian, Mark Watney
creates water on Mars using a chemical reaction. Watney s oxygenator creates oxygen from
carbon dioxide and his Mars vehicle contains unused hydrogen gas. He uses this to his advantage,
taking both the oxygen gas and the hydrogen gas and putting it in one room, requiring only one
more step to complete the process. All he needs now is the catalyst, something that speeds up the
rate of a reaction, to initiate and speed up the reaction of both these gases. He ignites the gases in a
closed environment and as it begins to heat up, water droplets are slowly created. Watney uses fire
as a catalyst to speed up the reaction as catalysts sped up the conflict between England in Spain in
the Elizabethan era. Many catalysts escalated conflict between England... Show more content on

A major catalyst of conflict from England was the fact that England was Protestant at the time.
England became Protestant under Elizabeth I, so the Catholics in Spain saw the war as a religious
crusade (Elizabethan). The Protestant Elizabeth I of England, whom the Catholic Church did not
recognise as the rightful English monarch, had antagonised Catholics by making the Church of
England the official church in the Kingdom when she became Queen of England (Anglo Spanish).
King Philip II of Spain did not accept this as he was very devoted to his religion of Catholicism. It
is said that the only time he laughed was when thousands of Protestant Christians were injured and
killed in France on the St. Bartholomew s Day massacre (Kilkenny). King Philip even tried to
propose to Queen Elizabeth of England hoping that if they married, she would renounce the
Protestant religion to become a Catholic. However, both the people of Spain and England opposed
this and Elizabeth declined (Adams). England becoming Protestant is unquestionably a catalyst of
war between England and

Morality In Gone, Baby, Gone
Gone, Baby, Gone is a powerful film that focuses on philosophical arguments surrounding human
morality in the context of a child abduction. The film begins when a young girl, Amanda
McCreedy, disappears from her home in Boston. Due to the police force s lack of success,
Amanda s aunt, Beatrice, hires a private investigator named Patrick Kenzie and his girlfriend
Angie Gennaroaare to find Amanda. As the plot progresses, Kenzie discovers that Amanda s
mom, Helene, is a drug addict and had been previously hired to deliver illegal paraphernalia, and
she would often bring Amanda with her. Furthermore, Helene and her boyfriend recently stole
money from the local drug lord. The stolen money was originally thought to be the catalyst for the
abduction, so the Captain Doyle and Officers Nick Poole and Remy Bressant arranged to trade the
stolen money for Amanda. However, the exchange fails and Amanda is thought to have drowned
in the nearby quarry. Kenzie then pieces together that the exchange was staged and that Amanda
had been taken by her uncle and Officer Remy Bressant in order to save Amanda from her mother
s influence. At the end of the film, Kenzie discovers Amanda living happily with Captain Doyle
and his wife and he calls the cops. Amanda was then returned to her negligent mother and Captain
Doyle was arrested for kidnapping. The moral primary moral dilemma occurs at the end of the film
when Kenzie discovers Amanda alive. She was extremely happy and Captain Doyle and his wife
Pros And Cons Of The 8th Amendment
The Eighth Amendment protects the right of prisoners before they are tried and after they are
convicted. It also bars excessive fines and cruel and unusual punishments. In 1641, the
Massachusetts Body of Liberties standards allowed the death penalty for blasphemy and had
physical punishments such as cutting off ears and branding with a hot iron. But now the death
penalty is no longer allowed in some states because its defined as evolving standards of decency and
most are extremely cruel and the cost is expensive. The Eighth Amendment prohibits mentally ill
persons to cruel and unusual punishments. The Supreme Court case in 2005 of Roper v. Simmons is
about Christopher Simmons and he was sentenced to death in 1993, when he was only 17.... Show

States are getting out of hand. The state of Oklahoma will start using nitrogen gas to execute
death row, officials said, an unprecedented response to the inability of states nation wide to obtain
lethal injection drugs. Oklahoma s move is the latest in a series of dramatic efforts. Some
officials have made to carrying out death sentences. Oklahoma isn t the only state who has
decided to practice death penalty. Electrocution is in Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina,
Tennessee, and Virginia. Utah does firing squad. In 2009, New Mexico voted to abolish the death
penalty. Colorado abolished the death penalty in 1897 but reinstated it in 1901. In 2009, the
Colorado House of Representatives passed the death penalty abolished bill. A pro of having the
power to use the death penalty is that it kills people for there bad crimes. A con of having the
power to apply the death penalty is the person who made the crime just dies and doesn t have to
think about what they did and how the families of the victims feel. States are losing the lethal
injection drug because there s little supply of it. Personally I think individual states should not have
the power because the criminal should think about what they have done. Also, states have too much
power in the first place either all states should have them or don t have them at

UTM will add the benefits of beyond the visual line of sight operations (BVLOS) to unmanned
aerospace systems. The added applications of beyond the visual line of sight operations are search
and rescue operations, package deliveries, border patrol inspections, and environmental research

operations and drastically increase UAS applications (Karpowicz, 2016). Figure 5. NASA s concept

Passive Countermeasures The current educational, prevention, system used by the Federal
Aviation Administration is not having very good luck based from reports of near miss incidents.
The FAA is constantly updating regulations to reflect and protect both the national airspace
system and public civilians. The issue with education is only commercial rated pilots are
required to have formal training and education. The rapid growth of the small unmanned
aerospace system market has low price and is easily accessibility for the public. The FAA has
made it a requirement to register all small UAS aircraft, but this alone will not sustain or prevent
an undesirable flight into a critical area. A Washington DC based company called Drone Shield
uses an acoustic device to detect drones up to 150 yards (Reagan, 2015). The device simply alerts
the administrator via email or text message of a detected UAS (Reagan, 2015). Prisons have
started to use Drones Shield to detect when UAS are being used to deliver contraband to inmates.
Drone Shield has proven effective even during loud noise and large crowd events, like the Boston
Marathon (Reagan, 2015). Drone Shield claims to have been used on the latest Star Wars movie,
keeping prying UAS photographers off closed movie sets (Reagan, 2015). Figure 6. Displays the size

The Effect Of Temperature On The Rate Of The Reaction
Purpose: The activation energy lab centralized on observing the effect that temperature has on the
rate of the reaction 6I (aq) + BrO3 (aq) + 6H+ (aq) 3I2 (aq) + Br (aq) + 3H2O while also using
calculations to determine the value of the rate constant and the activation energy at different
temperatures. The activation energy of a reaction is defined as the minimum amount of energy
required to make the transition from reactants to products. Given that the rate constant is
proportionally constant for an experiment, it changes with temperature. By keeping the
concentrations of the reactants constant, the effect of temperature on the rate was able to be
determined.
Temperature generally increases a reaction rate given that particles require require a specific amount
of energy to react. By increasing the temperature, more particles are able to collide with the required
force in perfect geometry to cause a reaction, which will result in an increased reaction rate. An
example of this includes milk turning sour much more rapidly in warmer conditions such as room
temperature versus the cooler temperature of the refrigerator.
Procedure Observations: First approximately 250mL of water was added to a 400mL beaker and
heated on a hot plate to 20 25C. As the water was heating, two test tubes were then prepared, test

deionized water, while test tube B included 10mL of 0.0400 M KBrO3, 10 mL of
