You are not a true 90 s kid, I AM! A famous phrase by Wesley Harrison Shaw Theisen was born on
september 9th, 1998 at Mercy hospital here in Dubuque. He weighed 8 pounds 6 ounces and he was
20 ½ inches long.
Wesleys earliest memory was going to his great grandpas house and sitting on his lap while he
drove the tractor, he loved that. Wesley was a shy child, he didn t like anyone except his mom and
dad. His favorite childhood game was red rover, he liked it because it was dangerous and eventful.
His first pet was a hamster named Beefy. He loved this pet, now he has a dog named Crockett and he
is his favorite pet of all time. His childhood comfort toy was a stuffed dog, he still sleeps with it

He loved the way that things worked there. While he was there he learned about the Berlin wall
that fell in 1989 and he brought home a small bottle of it. He got to collect it himself. He also
bought a mug and some small knick knacks, like hats. His favorite thing there was the food, late
night walks and exploring. He brought back coins that he found and used there. He also loved
paying for things, another thing that he had to pay for is the bathroom he didn t like that. He
visited Berlin, and multiple other places. He experienced many difficulties while he was there. He
shared a hotel with his best friends Robbie and Demetrious. Robbie is a troublemaker and he broke
the bathroom door, he refused to tell me how it broke. He also got lost and broke the ice machine
and again, no idea how.
Wesley is currently a senior at Senior high school and he loves it there. As a freshman he played

Boy Scouts Needs
One of the major building blocks from my youth was my involvement with the Boy Scouts of
America, I became a club scout at the age of 7 years old and by my 14th birthday, I completed the
requirements of the Boy Scouts Highest rank and was given the honor of becoming a Eagle Scout. I
view this as my greatest achievement not for its complexity, but for its ability to teach me skills and
grant me the confidence to continue perusing other long term goals, such as completing high school,
college, and other personal goals. The Boy Scouts taught moral values such as trustworthily, loyalty,
bravely at a young age, helping develop a good base and understanding between right wrong. It is
many of these skills that have helped me develop into the person... Show more content on

Essay on Finance Midterm
Midterm John Doe
Executive summary
Diva shoes is an international shoes company that is experiencing rapid growth. Due to this rapid
growth, the company never established a robust hedging strategy to protect itself against fluctuations
of the multiple currencies it engages with.
This situation became more severe in Japan. The company s growth in Japan exceeded all
expectations, and unlike other countries in which the company conducted business (Italy for
example) the company had almost no expenses there, and had to convert all the Yens it generated
from selling its merchandise to dollars.
In the last few years, the Yen appreciated against the dollars, making the company s lack of hedging
strategy have little to no impact on the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Again, I used the SG amp;A expenses as a percent of the revenue for 1994, then used the same
ratio for 1995. I m aware that this is not a great projection, as it ignores economies of scale and
efficiency improvements as the company grows, but for the purposes of this projection, it s the
best I can do. The calculation is shown in the excel spreadsheet. e. I estimated the Yen/Dollar
exchange rate to be 90. It is a bit higher than the current spot rate, but follows the trend according
to exhibit 1. Exhibit 1 shows an appreciation to the Yen, which slows down to a crawl near the
beginning of 1995. Based on the case I believe it is safe to assume a minor depreciation to the Yen
for Sep 1995.

Based on the assumptions above I project revenues for 1995 to be $93,939,025.90

4. Similar to question 3, this question require me to make several assumptions. I ve used the exact
same assumptions as the ones made in question 3.

Using these assumptions, I project net income to be $8,874,315.89. This means that the EPS for
1995 is $0.74 which reflects a 20.71% growth year over year.
The full calculation and income statement for 1995 is shown in the attached spreadsheet. 5. The
statement is accurate. If Diva Shoes hedges with either an option or a forward contract that locks the
exchange rate of the Yen to 92 Yen/Dollar the EPS growth will still be above 15%. Full calculation
can be shown in the attached spreadsheet.

Similar Themes in A Rose for Emily, The Garden Party, and...
Short stories often have various underlying themes and meanings to them and can often be
compared to other stories to find those same meanings. Occasionally, you need to dig deeper to
find these hidden meanings. The three short stories, A Rose for Emily by William Faulkner, The
Garden Party by Katherine Mansfield, and Everyday Use by Alice Walker all share some similar
themes and ideas that require some digging to uncover and bring to the surface. The main
analysis this essay with cover is comparing how the three stories discuss and express class and
heritage, as well as how death can cause people to not only think things in a different way but
also how death can open your eyes to something you never would have seen otherwise. Another
thing that is potentially easily missed is how each of the individuals writing styles and
backgrounds affect the ground work of the stories and how they progress. The first of the three
stories is called A Rose for Emily (Faulkner, 1993). It is a story focused around Emily Grierson
and the author divides the story into 5 parts or sections. The story has a narrator that goes
nameless for the entirety of the story. In section one of A Rose for Emily (Faulkner, 1993) the
narrator is recalling the death of Emily Grierson and how the collective group of towns folk attend
the funeral, which is located in her home. It also talks about how after the death of Emily s father
that the mayor of the town at the time suspended Emily s tax responsibilities
King Congo King Analysis
King Leopold set his focus on the Congo because he wanted to rule a colony of his own,
something bigger than just little old Belgium, and the Congo provided that. It had waterways that
connected the land, as well as people that he could use as slaves. A book that he had read titled
Java, or How to Manage a Colony had sparked Leopold s interest for a colony of his own
(Hochschild, p. 37). According to the quote, In the mid 1870s, sub Saharan Africawas a logical place
for an aspiring colonialist to look...about 80% of the entire land area of Africa was still under
indigenous rulers. It was ripe for conquest or, as Leopold was now learning to say, for protection
(Hochschild, p. 42), this land was an opportunity for Leopold to finally build a colony; especially
after Stanley had found the CongoRiver during an expedition. Leopold s purpose was shaped by a
desire not only for money but for power (Hochschild, p. 39). The Congo s resources were rubber
and ivory, ivory was made into false teeth, or piano pieces, among other things and this produced
a lot of profits once sold. However, the profits for rubber were much higher than that of ivory. The
land itself provides the power that Leopold wanted. Leopold was successful in the sense that he did
become the ruler of the Congo, he did gain profits out it, he did have slaves that built railways, as
well as an army made majority of its own people, the natives. Leopold failed in the sense that he
thought the truth would never come to
Essay about History of the Colorado River
INTRODUCTION According to tree ring scientists from the University of Arizona in Tuscon, the
Colorado River went through a six decade long drought during the mid 1100s. This drought was
longer than any other drought know to the region. The Colorado River is essential to the American
Southwest, draining into about 242,000 square miles of land to include seven U.S. states: Arizona,
California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. The Intergovernmental Panel on
Climate Change predicted in a recent report that the Southwestern U.S. Will become hotter and drier
as the climate warms. With human caused climate change and run off reduction, it has been
predicted that the Colorado River could become dry by 2012. Discussions in... Show more content on

Today the color of the river is more of a blue green though, due to the creation of the Glen Canyon
Dam in 1963. The silt and sediments that gave the river its reddish brown color are now trapped
behind the dam at the bottom of Lake Powell. Before the construction of the Glen Canyon Dam,
the Colorado river could carry around 500,000 tons of silt and sediment per day through the
Grand Canyon. The peak flow rate before the dam was normally around 85,000 cfs (abbreviation
for cubic feet per second which is used to measure river flow rates). The peak flow rate after
construction was reduced to 30,000 cfs. The reduction in cfs resulted in a smaller distribution of the
iconic red colored silt and sediment. The main reason for the creation of the Glen Canyon Dam was
to stop silt from building up behind Hoover Dam. The construction of the dam has had a negative
impact on the Grand Canyon environment. The flash floods that at one time scrubbed the
canyon clean and deposited fresh sand along the beaches no longer occurs. The water temperature
used to get as warm as 80 degrees F. It is now icy cold year round and averages around 42 degrees
F. Because of this drastic temperature change, some of the native fish that used to flourish in the
river have become extinct while others have become endangered. The desert is no place to be
without water. It is one of man s basic needs for survival. Deserts receive less than 10 inches of
rainfall in a year, and, in some
My Homecoming Experience
This past weekend, I was visiting my alma mater (Capital University Columbus, Ohio) for their
annual Homecoming weekend. Like many homecoming events, there was various gatherings of
different organizations, walk through various buildings to relive the past and see new changes,
watch the annual football game, and rekindle with old friends. It was then I began thinking about the
various traditions we had at Capital. One traditioninvolves a gate which faced Main St (a busy street
in the neighborhood where Capital was located) which had its own special traditions. During
orientation, incoming freshmen would enter through the gate to campus to signify you are
entering into a new community/learning experience and at graduation, your class would walk out
of the gate as a sign of you entering into the world as future leaders with a world class education.
The tradition or myth told was that if you exited out of the gate prior to graduation, you would fail
out or if you walked through the gate holding hands with someone...then you two would get
married (not sure if I did followed through this tradition with Amanda). As you can tell, some these
are silly traditions. In the Church, we also have traditions. Coffee is seen as unnamed sacrament as
one of my seminary professors would say is one example. We are also in the midst of talking about
the tradition or legacy of Martin Lutherand the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. We know
the story, we hear it every October 31st (you probably have been hearing it a lot more this
previous year). Traditions are good to have, they remind us of where we come from, especially as
a Church. Next year, Bethany will be honoring our 125th anniversary, something many churches do
not have the opportunity to celebrate. Yet sometimes, traditions become a double edged sword.
When we consider traditions, we sometimes become too fearful to try or experience something
new or different. We have always done it that way, tends to be a popular response in churches with
various things which are seen as traditions. If we add this new thing, it will take away from the
worshiping experience or I will more distant from God. Yet, it doesn t take long for something to be
seen as a tradition (when you

Data Collection for the UCR, NIBRS, and NCVS
The Uniform Crime Reports collects reported crime data from the states law enforcement agencies
on Part I offenses: murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, aggravated assault,
burglary, larceny, motor vehicle theft, arson, and local law enforcement agencies are also required
to provide additional details about a crime when it appears to be motivated by hate. Law enforcement
agencies are required to report only the most serious offense in a crime that involves multiple
offenses.
The National Incident Based Reporting System was begun as a collaboration between the
Department of Justice Bureau of Crime Statistics and the FBI as an enhancement to the Uniform
Crime Reports Crime Index. It collects data from local law enforcement agencies nationwide on
both incidents and arrests on 46 specific crimes in 22 offense categories.
The National Crime Victimization Survey collects data through victim surveys. The collected data
differs from the data collected by the UCR and NIBRS, as it includes both reported and unreported
crimes, counts each offense separately in crimes with multiple offenses, and includes details about
the crime, victim, and the victimizations as a result of the crime. The data collected differs from the
data collected by the UCR in that it does not collect data on homicides, kidnappings, victimless
crimes, commercial crimes, and
Why I Chose To Go To College
From the young age of twelve, I ve watched my three older siblings leave for college one by one.
First my sister, Kassie, moved to La Crosse, Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin
La Crosse. A year later my brother, B.J., moved to Des Moines, Iowa and attended DMACC. A
few years later, my other sister, Heather, moved to Dubuque, Iowa and attended the University of
Dubuque for one semester then transferred to the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
All of my siblings went to college, and I would follow suit and also attend college.
When I first started thinking about going to college I never considered going to a big school. I

The questions I had been asking for the past week would now be answered. My parents, my sister,
and I piled into our two vehicles and headed down to Iowa City. The two and a half hour car ride
was incredibly quiet except for the occasional sniffle from my mom. The move in process went
incredibly smoothly. My family and Josie s family helped in every way they could to set up our
room, soothing my anxiety. After everything was set up my family went to dinner. Then it was
time to say goodbye. I knew how it was going to go, my mom and my sister would start crying
when they hugged me, and my dad would give me a fist bump and say good luck. In less than five
minutes, I went from being a dependent of my parents to an

Chef Thomas Keller seems that a very simple guy that just enjoys to cook and make people happy
with his cooking. Keller advice to a newbie is to be very patient and I think that is a good pointer
because in this industry we have to get out feet wet to get started then maybe become someone
important like him. From the interview it gave me the vibe of how down to earth he is he doesn t
sound like a show off or tries to make himself important just give out his best response and show
what Thomas Keller is all about.
Julia Child s moved to France where she developed a penchant for French cuisine. With a goal of

that focusing too much on nutrition takes the pleasure from enjoying
Effects Of The Great Depression On Society
The Great Depression occurred between the years 1929 and 1939 in America. The Great Depression
was the longest lasting economic downfall in America s history. During the Great Depression there
were approximately 15,000,000 unemployed Americans, which was about one quarter of America s
entire workforce. The effects that the Great Depressionhad on society where so massive that these
effects can still be felt today. The causes of the Great Depression can be linked back to economic
problems within America during the late 1920s, specifically installment buying and buying
stocks on the margin which ended up bankrupting many homeowners and investors; as the stock
market crashed in the year 1929. Following the stock market crash, arose bank failures, factory
closings, and widespread unemployment. The stock market crash of 1929 occurred on a Tuesday
and so this day was coined as Black Tuesday . The stock market crash on Black Tuesday is
considered by most to be the main cause of the Great Depression. However, there are many more
factors to be considered before autonomous fault can be assigned to the 1929 stock market crash.
Herbert Hooverwas President during the 1929 stock market crash and beginning of the Great
Depression. Herbert Hoover did not acknowledge the extreme depth of the crisis and assumed that
America would quickly recover on its own, bringing the nation out of the disaster without the need
for any federal intervention. Unfortunately, Pres. Herbert
